주유소 조명은 안전하고 시각적으로 흥미롭게 디자인되어야 한다. 최근 연구에는 빛공해와 에너지 낭비 때문에 non-cutoff 조명기구를 주유소에 이용되면 안 되는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구에서는 non-cutoff 조명기구를 사용한 주유소의 조명환경을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. CS-100 휘도계와 Radiant Imaging Prometric-1400을 이용하여 건물표면, 캐노피, 천정, 기둥 및 바닥면을 측정하였다. 그 결과 캐노피 조명기구의 개수가 증가할수록 건물전체 표면휘도가 증가하였으며, Non-cutoff 조명기구를 설치한 연구대상 전체 주유소는 빛공해를 유발하였다. 따라서 주유소 옥외조명에 대한 기준이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

Artificial lighting contributes greatly to developing civilizations. It allows daytime activities to continue throughout the dark hours of the day and thus increasing work productivity as well as allowing people to enjoy nighttime activities. In addition, artificial lighting is used to beautify landscapes, architectural monuments, and thus highlighting the social-economic development of a given place. However, excessive and improper usage of artificial lighting can lead to light pollution. Light pollution is a serious issue that is detrimental to human health. It has been linked to a number of health conditions including sleep disorder, visual discomfort as well as cancer. The effects of light pollution extend throughout the entire ecosystem, affecting both plants and animals. Furthermore, sky-glow from light pollution hinders astronomical observation. The current paper presents a study conducted on lit environment of a nightscape. The quality of the sky was measured in 144 spots using Sky Quality Meter (SQM) devices. The measured spots were chosen on the basis of land use as well as distance from the Halla Mountain.

오존은 온도가 높고 태양 빛이 강한 여름철에 휘발성 유기화합물(Volatile Organic Compounds)과 질소화합물(NOx)의 광 화학 반응으로 생성되는 이차적 공해물질(Secondary Air Pollutant)이다. 성층권에 존재하는 오존은 피부암을 유발시키는 강한 자외선을 차단하고 흡수하는 고마운 존재이지만, 급속한 산업발달로 다량의 공해물질유출로 인해 생성된 지표면상의 오존은 대단히 유독해서 높은 농도에서 장시간 호흡 시 호흡기관의 장애는 물론이고 치사까지 이르게 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. (중략)

도시공간의 안정과 쾌적함을 위하여 옥외조명은 우리 사회에서 필수적인 부분이 되었다. 그러나 옥외조명을 잘못 설치할 경우 조명에너지의 낭비뿐만 아니라 건축물 야간경관 훼손을 야기시킨다. 최근 야간 경관조명의 중요성이 부각되면서 지자체마다 야간경관 이미지 구축에 집중을 하고 있다. 그 중 해안가 주변의 옥외조명은 지역 내에 특화된 관광 상권을 구성하며 생동감 있는 도시 이미지를 부여하고 도시경쟁력을 강화 시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라의 대표적 항구 도시인 부산의 해안가의 야간경관조명의 빛공해를 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다. 디지털 광학 계측기인 Radiant Imaging ProMetric-1400으로 광안리 해수욕장, 마린시티, 그리고 해운대 해수욕장 주변의 옥외조명을 측정하였다. 모든 옥외조명의 휘도는 국제조명위원회 권고기준과 비교했을 때 약 2~20배 정도 높게 나타났다. 주상복합 상부조명 및 해안에 면한 상가 저층부는 색채 및 휘도의 제한이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

야간 도로를 주행하는 운전자의 안전을 위한 대표적인 대책으로 등주식 도로조명의 설치가 선호되고 있다. 그러나 기존 등주식 형태 도로조명의 경우 노면으로부터 일정 높이에 설치되는 특성으로 인해 광원이 운전자에게 직접적으로 강한 눈부심을 주어 운전자의 시인성을 저해하고, 도로 외의 지역에도 빛이 누설되어 에너지 효율이 떨어질 뿐 아니라 주거지역이나 동식물에 장해를 주는 빛공해가 발생하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해소한 낮은 위치에 설치되어 조명이 도로만을 비추는 형태의 낮은 조명이 해결책으로 제안되고 있으나, 도입 초기인 낮은 조명이 도로조명등급을 만족하여 도로조명으로서의 역할을 할 수 있는지에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 도로조명으로서 요구되는 최소한의 시인성능 기준을 만족함과 동시에 빛공해를 근본적으로 차단할 수 있는 구조의 낮은 조명을 개발하고 기존 등주식 조명과 시인성능 비교를 수행한 결과를 제시하였다. 비교결과, 기존 등주식 조명에 비해 평균노면휘도, 균제도, 임계치 증분 평가에서 우수한 결과를 나타냈다.

This study aims to suggest some problems, which occur when environmental lighting zone is set by use-zone only, by comparing and analyzing the artificial illumination luminance. In addition, this study aims to review the control standards of light pollution and to suggest a practical environmental lighting zone-setting method. I checked out the standards of average surface luminance and luminance contrast as for light pollution management. In addition, I did some research on evaluation of light pollution on surroundings based on investigation of use-environment as for lighting environment setting method.

This is a study to establish regulations against light pollution for lighting on roads. Many kinds of light pollution by luminaire on roads was calculated and analyzed by applying the classification method of luminaires(Cut-off classification of IDA-IESNA, BUG Rating Classification) and the calculation method of Upward Lighting Ratio of CIE among measures to prevent light pollution that international lighting organizations suggest. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the regulation by Cutoff of IESNA and ULR classification of CIE could be one for scattered light of light pollution compared to BUG classification but is not sufficient for the regulation of light tresspass or glare. BUG classification by each lighting zone was suggested as threshold value of the light pollution regulation considering domestic conditions.

As issues on light pollution is being raised recently, movements to prevent light pollution is being implemented by each local government, such as by enforcing the Light Pollution Act from February 2013, in order to require compliance with the light-emitting permission level of existing lighting facilities. However, despite the regulations, no specific measures on products are being prepared. Thus, this Research has designed a light shield as a measure to minimize the burden of the effectiveness and time required for development and the burden of the cost necessary to re-install existing light facilities in its entirety and reviewed the effect of the measure through the BUG ratings.

Spill light by street lighting is a kind of light pollution creating cozy night atmosphere, interfere visual private and cause insomnia at night. This study was to survey light trespass of the windows in residential buildings. According to outdoor lighting control guidance in Seoul, three different areas were selected to investigate the trespass light to windows. The results were as follows: 37% of the buildings of 386 buildings were influenced by street lighting, and 47% of windows were occurred light trespass. Therefore, the street lighting affected light trespass at night in survey area. The main reasons of light trespass were luminaire type, luminaire pole height, and street width. For protecting the light trespass to windows, it is necessary to non-cutoff fixture to full cutoff fixture by the street width.
