언어 연구에 관한 방법론은 단위구조적(modular) 접근방법과 총체론적(holistic) 접근방법으로 대별될 수 있다. 전자는 인지체계가 독자적 인지단위로 나뉘어져 있으며 그 중 하나가 언어기능임을 가정하고 있다. 즉 언어는 언어기능과 여타 인지단위로 상호작용함으로써 성립된다고 가정하는 것이다. 이에 비해 후자는 언어가 총체로서의 인지체계의 소산임을 가정하며, 따라서 언어기능이란 존재를 부정한다. 이러한 총체론적 언어이론에서는 신체의 구조가 보이는 단위구 조성과 심적 수조의 총체성 사이의 "불균형"을 어떻게 설명할 것인가의 의문이 제기된다. 이 글에서는 단위 구조설의 내용이 간략히 소개된다. 언어기능을 이루고 있는 보편문법 및 개별문법의 개념이 논의되는 가운데, 과거에도 그랬고 현재에도 계속 논란의 대상이 되고 있는 이른바 "문법성"의 개념이 중점적으로 다루어진다. 문법성과 허용성이 별개의 개념일진대, 문법적이면서도 허용되지 않은 문장이 있을 수 있고, 비문법적이면서도 허용되는 문장도 있을 수 있어야 한다. 이 후자의 경우도 실제로 존재함이 보여질 것이다.

This article examines distinctive linguistic shifts of translational English in an effort to verify the validity of the translation universals hypotheses, including simplification, explicitation, normalization and leveling-out, which have been most heavily explored to date. A large-scale study involving comparable corpora of translated and non-translated English newspaper texts has been carried out to typify particular linguistic attributes inherent in translated texts. The main findings are as follows. First, by employing the parameters of STTR, top-to-bottom frequency words, and mean values of sentence lengths, the translational instances of simplification have been detected across the translated English newspaper corpora. In contrast, the portion of function words produced contrary results, which in turn suggests that this feature might not constitute an effective test of the hypothesis. Second, it was found that the use of connectives was more salient in original English newspaper texts than translated English texts, being incompatible with the explicitation hypothesis. Third, as an indicator of translational normalization, lexical bundles were found to be more pervasive in translated texts than in non-translated texts, which is expected from and therefore support the normalization hypothesis. Finally, the standard deviations of both STTR and mean sentence lengths turned out to be higher in translated texts, indicating that the translated English newspaper texts were less leveled out within the same corpus group, which is opposed to what the leveling-out hypothesis postulates. Overall, the results suggest that not all four hypotheses may qualify for the label translation universals, or at least that some translational predictors are not feasible enough to evaluate the effectiveness of the translation universals hypotheses.

백채널은 화자의 말에 언어 및 비언어적으로 반응하는 것으로 상대의 대화 참여를 유도하는 역할을 한다. 백채널은 보편형 대화 참여와 반응형 대화 참여로 나뉠 수 있다. 보편형 대화 참여는 화자에게 대화를 장려하도록 하는 단순한 반응이다. 반면에 반응형 대화 참여는 화자의 발화 의도를 파악하고 그에 맞게 반응하는 것이다. 이때 발화의 의미를 파악하기 위해서는 표면적인 의미뿐만 아니라 대화의 맥락을 이해해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 대화 맥락을 반영한 백채널 예측 모델을 제안하고 예측 성능을 개선하고자 한다. 대화 맥락을 요약하기 위한 방법으로 전체 요약과 선택 요약을 제안한다. 한국어 상담 데이터를 대상으로 실험한 결과는 현재 발화만 사용했을 때보다 제안한 방식으로 대화 맥락을 반영했을 때 성능이 향상되었다.

Is the development of linguistic competence due to the learning process or the maturational process? According to Piaget, its development is a genuine learning process involving authentic constructions with gradual disclosure of new possibilities. But According to Chomsky, the acquisition of linguistic competence is due to a genetically conditioned maturational process. So it merely involves the actualization of a set of possibilities existing from the beginning Consequently, Piaget supposes that interaction with the environment plays a shaping role, while Chomsky allows it to have a mere triggering role. In broad respective, Chomsky supposes the rationalism that knowledge is largely inborn, while Piaget in the constructivist position which strives to find a middle course between radical rationalism and radical empiricism. In the one hand, an ultra-rationalistic concept such as 'fixed nucleus' supposed by Chomsky is, in my eye, nor plausible. In the other hand, if Piagetian constructivism is to be sustained, it must be sustained independently of its dubious biological fundament, and merely as a developmental psychological theory. In one word, we need to synthesize Piagetian cognitive approach and Chomskian syntactical, in order to explain exactly the source of human linguistic competence.

본 논문에서는, 한국어 활용에 있어 중의성을 해소해 주고 심미적 효과를 줄 수 있는 개념인 띄어쓰기를, 교정이 아닌 입력 보조의 관점에서 접근한다. 사람들에게 자판을 통한 텍스트 입력이 언어활동의 보편적인 수단이 되면서 가독성을 포기하고서라도 편의를 택하는 경우가 증가하게 되었는데, 본 연구에서는 그러한 문장들의 전달력을 높여 줄 수 있는 자동 띄어쓰기 및 그 활용 방안을 제시한다. 전체 시스템은 dense word embedding과 딥 러닝 아키텍쳐를 활용하여 훈련되었으며, 사용된 코퍼스는 비표준어 및 비정형을 포함하는 대화체 문장으로 구성되어 user-generate된 대화형 문장 입력의 처리에 적합하다.

In accordance with wide spread of personal computer and the expansion of network access, the use of internet has been popular and communication by text message is much more normal than that of voice and image. Accordingly, the side effect of communication language brings about gap between diverse social class, the isolation of communication between generations, abusive expressions, obstacles of juvenile mental development and so on. It appears by the form of slang and vulgar word and has a negative effect on education of mother tongue and usage of children's real language. To deal with these problems, we developed new web-based education system through the analysis of learners' requirement; "Barun Mal, Goeun Mal class". So we verified its efficiency to apply to real class. We also found that this system increased the learners' interest and educational effectiveness. Also, this system contributed to the proper use of language.

Korean Shamanism has long been regarded as the peripheral cult or supersition by the majoriy of the society. This fact is a result by the influence of the mass media, especially the motion pictures, which intentionally reflected the negative images of the Shamanism. The documentary films, which stress the objectivity and the reality, rather disclose the neutral position toward the Shamanism. In fact, the directors of the documentary films who have more or less close relationship with the Shamanism have tried to exhibit the mental world and the traditionality of the Shamanism. In this paper, I will explore the value of Shamanism reflected in the documentary films. I focus of two films; directed by the Korean and directed by a foreigner. In this way, I can compare the attitudes of the two directors toward the Korean Shamanism. The director of confessed that he was attracted by the aspect of a musical underlied in the shaman ritual. However, the film does not show the artistic beauty of the shaman music because the director failed to understand the essential aspect of the shaman ritual, that is, the music. In this way, the director failed to show the distinct characteristics of the shamanism to the audience. The director of , a music herself, was focused on the music of the shamanism. The story flows to the adventure to seek a "master" with a long journey to enjoy diverse genres of Korean performing arts. This story resembles the epic shaman song, the Princess Bari. In this way, the audience can easily grasp the beauty of Korean culture. Music is said to be a universal language and, at the same time, a non-universal language which reflects a special trait of a cultural community. The Korean shaman ritual music is a non-universal language that is an accumulation of the Korean culture for a long time. The Korean director fails to exhibit the essential characteristics of the Shamanism since he does not have enough knowledge toward the shaman ritual music in . However, the foreign director, who is a music herself, successively disclose the underlying beauty of Korean shaman ritual music and Korean traditional culture in .

The present study investigated the cognitive mechanism underlying online processing of Korean syntactic (for example, A bed/a clock belongs to/doesn't belong to the furniture "침대는/시계는 가구에 속한다/속하지 않는다") and lexical negation (for example, A tiger/a butterfly has/doesn't have a tail "호랑이는/나비는 꼬리가 있다/없다") using an ERP(Event-related potentials) technique and a truth-value verification task. 23 Korean native speakers were employed for the whole experiment and 15's brain responses (out of 23) were recorded for the ERP analysis. The behavioral results (i.e. verification task scores) show that there is universal pattern of the accuracy and response time for verification process: True-Affirmative (high accuracy and short latency) > False-Affirmative > False-Negated > True-Negated. However, the components (early N400 & P600) reflecting the immediate processing of a negation operator were observed only in lexical negation. Moreover, the ERP patterns reflecting an effect of truth value were not identical: N400 effect was observed in the true condition compared to the false condition in the lexically negated sentences, whereas Positivity effect (like early P600) was observed in the false condition compared to the true condition in the syntactically negated sentences. In conclusion, the form and location of negation operator varied by languages and negation types influences the strategy and pattern of online negation processing, however, the final representation resulting from different computational processing of negation appears to be language universal and is not directly affected by negation types.

조직이 가지고 있는 정보를 공개하거나 조직 내부의 업무 공유를 위해, 데이터베이스로 관리하고 있는 정보를 동적으로 구성하여 보여주는 동적 웹 페이지 작성이 필요하다. 동적 웹 페이지 작성은 스크립트 언어를 사용하여 프로그램하는 것이 보편화 되어 있으며, 이로 인해 개발자의 성향에 따라 스크립트 소스가 작성됨으로써 어플리케이션 프로그램의 비 정형화 및 비 표준화를 야기하고 결과적으로 프로그램 개발 생산성, 유지보수성, 그리고 재사용성을 저하시킨다. 본 연구에서는 데이터베이스 관련 웹 페이지 패턴을 분석하여 정형화된 스크립트 모델을 작성하고, 동적 웹 페이지 자동 생성 프로그램을 개발하여 웹 페이지 개발 생산성 항상, 유지 보수성 향상, 그리고 프로그램 재사용성 향상을 가져오도록 구현하였다.

In line with the development of Media, the use of character has been developed in various ways. Specially, it has been emerged the functions of written language of visualization and delivery of emotion in the digitalized environment due to speedy growth of internet and Mobile. The emoticons emerged as a tool for the convenience of communication proved to have taken effective role in the part of communication culture. Particularly, Hangul emoticons which contains the meaning of communication and sharing in tandem with the principle of Hangul invention, provides convenience in combination & use due to its structural and design characteristic for which it plays a significant role of visual element. Hangul emoticon is definitely a part of Hangul culture and in view of globalization of visual language in connection with media development, there is a huge potential being to be used as a international communication tool. In this study, it will be reviewed on the increased utilization of Hangul emoticons and related public issues as being a part of typography media, in view of the generalization of private media as well as change of subjective user.
