A single specimen of Synodus fuscus belonging to the genus Synodus in family Synodontidae was firstly collected from the coastal waters of Jeju Island, Korea. We newly add this species to the Korean fish fauna and propose its new Korean name, "Mo-rae-kkot-dong-myeol". This species was characterized by having no conspicuous pigmented area on operculum. The dorsal fin base is shorter than 1/2 of the head length. The morphological measurements and counts of Synodus fuscus were described in detail and a key to species of the genus Synodus from Korea provided in this study.

Many species of genus Entoloma were collecte from areas aat Mt. Naejang National Park, Mt. Sunun Provincial Park Mt. Manduck and adjacent areas. these Entoloa were idenified. According to the results, Entoloma subfarinaceum, E.viriincum, E.subgriseum, E.dolosum, E.squamiferum, E.intutum, E.violaceobrunnrum an E.seicatum were new to be Korea. Detail descriptions and Korean descriptions for them were made.

Three specimens of Abudefduf septemfasciatus were collected firstly from tidal pools on the southern and northern coasts of Jeju Island, Korea in August 2015. This species is characterized by black blotches on the upper origin of the pectoral fin, upper caudal peduncle and a dorsal fin between the second and fourth spines, predorsal scales beyond to above the middle of the eye, 12~13 soft dorsal and anal fin rays, and 20 lateral-line scales. This species is distinguishable from Abudefduf sordidus by soft dorsal and anal fin rays, location of caudal peduncle blotch, and location of the dorsal fin blotch. The newly proposed Korean name is "Il-gop-jul-ja-dom".

Morphological and anatomical characters of selected 3 taxa of Rhynchospora were reexamined. The epidermal patterns of achene and leaf were investigated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a light microscope (LM). Morphological characters such as length and width of bract, spikelet, scale, achene, stem, leaf and leaf sheath, and shape of inflorescence, spikelet, scale, apex of scale, perigynium and achene, and number of stigma and anatomical characters (transectional shape of the stem, and leaf: vascular bundles in stem and leaf epidermal patterns: shape of fundamental epidermal cell and cell wall, type of silica body, subsidiary cell shape, size and frequency of stomatal complex of leaf) were useful for the identification. Keys based on data were presented here.

Four specimens (114.2~134.2 mm SL) of Icelus stenosomus Andriashev, family Cottidae, were collected from Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, East Sea of Korea. They were identified based on the following characters : a pair of strong spines on occipital region, distinct row of scales on both dorsal and ventral sides of body, vermiculate white lines on dorsal side of body, and small prickled scales scattered sparsely on the head. We propose a new Korean name for the species as a new Korean name : 'Mu-nui-jul-ga-si-hoet-dae'.

A single serranid specimen of Epinephelus radiatus was collected by a hook for the commercial longline fisheries occurred near Marado, Jeju Island, Korea. The present specimen was characterized by five irregular dark brown bands passing downward and forward from upper edge of body, scales in longitudinal row 107, and pored lateral line scales 55. This species is easily distinguishable from the morphologically similar Korean serranid species of E. poecilonotus based on band patterns on body. That is, the former has five irregular oblique dark-edged brown bands, and the latter has several long horizontal bands on lateral body. We propose a new Korean name, "Ma-ra-bari," for Epinephelus radiatus.

12마리의 개들을 12주동안 6종류의 규정식으로 각각 급여시켰다. 규정식들은 단지 단백질원 즉 닭고기, 새끼양의 고기, 물고기, 쇠고기 및 콩이란 것에서만 차이가 있었다. 개들은 CBC 즉, 혈청화학프로필, 요분석, TSH반응시험 및 피부생검을 통하여 평가하였다. 피부생검은 조직학적으로 하는 것과 피부지방산 농도의 측정을 통한 평가, 두가지 방법으로 평가하였다. 평가된 지방산들은 리롤레산, 감마-리롤렌산, 알파-리롤렌산, 아라키돈산, 아이코사테트라에노이산 및 아이코사펜타에노이산 등이었다. 개들은 주관적으로 생검채취부위에서 털의 재성장과 비늘(피부의 얇은 조각)의 존재유무로 평가하였다. 결과에서 보면 각종의 규정식을 급여시킨 개들 사이에서 CBS, 조직적 소견 또는 피부지방산 수치에서 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 쇠고기 규정식을 급여시킨 12마리중 3마리의 개에서 고콜레스테롤 혈증이 있었고, 콩 규정식을 급여시킨 12마리중 9마리의 개에서 알카리성 오줌과 돼지고기를 급여시킨 12마리중 4마리가 비늘이 주관적 증가가 있었고, 털의 재성장이 감소된 것으로 나타났다.

The Eyebar goby, Gnatholepis cauerensis is reported firstly from Korea, based on four specimens (36.3~47.1 mm in SL) collected at depth range of 12~16 m in the southern coastal waters of Jejudo Island, Korea. They are characterized by having mostly ctenoid scales on body, head including cheek, opercle, and middle of predorsal region with cycloid scales, and a unique coloration of yellow blotch with marginally black marking above pectoral fin base as well as transverse black bar below eye. A new Korean name, "Geom-eun-nun-ddi-mang-dug", is proposed for the species.
