Study of an Aspherical Lens Design Method for Removing the Spherical Aberration of a Human Eye (눈의 구면수차 제거를 위한 비구면 렌즈 설계 기법 연구)

  • Using Snell's Law without approximation, we analyzed focal points for parallel rays incident upon the cornea of a human eye. To calculate a ray's incident angle versus incident height for focusing on the same point, we used the ray reverse tracing method. We derived the theoretical conditions for an aspherical lens to remove the spherical aberration caused by a human eye. In this research, we held the rear surface of the lens to be spherical, for simple calculation, and calculated the lens curvature of the front surface to design an aspherical surface.

  • The percentage of lesion height vs. plant height was higher in Yushin than Jinheung within the same nitrogen level. The infection occurred at the same level of waterline and the symptoms developed with the same speed for two varieties, but the damage was greater in Yushin as the symptoms reached faster to the top due to the short length of the 1st and 2nd internodes from the top.

A Study on Optical Properties of Aspheric Glass Lens using DLC Coated molding core (성형용 코어면 DLC 코팅에 의한 비구면 Glass렌즈 광학적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 성형용 코어 가공에서 초경합금(WC, Co 0.5%)의 초정밀 가공특성을 파악하기 위하여 다이아몬드 휠의 메시, 주축 회전속도, 터빈 회전속도, 이송속도 및 연삭깊이에 따른 표면거칠기를 측정하여 최적연삭조건을 규명하였다. 규명된 최적연삭가공조건을 활용하여 페러렐 연삭법으로 초정밀 연삭가공을 수행하였다. 연삭가공은 초정밀가공기(ASP01, Nachi-Fujikoshi Co., Japan)를 사용하였다. 최종 정삭가공을 수행한 비구면 성형용 코어의 형상측정결과 형상정도(PV; ${\varphi}$ 3.0mm) 0.15${\mu}m$(비구면), 0.10${\mu}m$(평면)으로 3M급 이상의 고화질 카메라폰에 채용되고 있는 비구면 Glass렌즈 양산용 성형용 코어 규격에 만족한 결과로서 본 연구에 수행된 초정밀 가공조건 및 측정방법이 매우 유효함을 알 수 있었다. 형상정도(PV) 및 표면조도(Ra) 측정은 초정밀 자유곡면 측정기(UA3P, Panasonic Co., Japan)와 3차원 표면조도 측정기(NewView5000, Zygo Co., USA)를 각각 사용하였다. 초정밀 가공된 성형용 코어면에 이온증착법을 활용하여 DLC 코팅을 수행하였다. 코팅 전후의 성형용코어를 활용하여 Glass소재(K-BK7, Sumita Co., Japan)를 최적의 성형조건(성형온도, 압력, 냉각속도)으로 성형하였다. DLC 코팅과 성형은 DLC 코팅기(NC400, Nanotech Co., Japan)와 Glass렌즈 성형기(Nano Press-S, Sumitomo Co., Japan)을 각각 사용하였다. Fig. 1은 초정밀 연삭가공, DLC 코팅막 구조, 코팅된 성형용 코어, 그리고, 성형된 비구면Glass렌즈를 각각 나타낸다.

  • We analyzed aspheric patterns after we investigated zoom lens' constructions and optical capacities of a ordinary designed 35mm camera with an aspheric zoom lens system in this research. As this lens system was the zoom lens system about infinite object point, it was made to get a short back focal length, be able to use a lens unit more close to the image plane, and be used the compact camera which got a viewing system. The zoom ratio of the system was 1 : 2 and it got a positive and negative power's distribution. As it was determined the 35~70 mm focal length range which the most common people used, it might be called economic optical system considered universality. As it was used two aspheric surface, it was used just three lens, compensated the aberration and schemed lens' miniaturization, lightweightization, and the decrease effect of the unit cost of production.

Effect of Nitrogen Applications on the Growth and Primary Production of Soybean Population (질소구배에 따른 대두개체군의 생장 및 일차생산성)

  • Growth analytical and primary productivity experiments of soybean populations were conducted with special references to the development of productive structures and environmental conditions of nitrogen levels $(N_1,\; control:\; N_2,\; 6.67gN/\textrm m^2:\; N_3,\;13.34\textrm {gN/m}^2)$. The maximum amounts in LAI for $N_1,\; N_2\; and\; N_3$ stand were 17.3, 19.0 and 18.5; in total standing grops, 1570, 1785 and 1704gDM/$\m^2$; in total net productions, 543, 648 and 636gDM/$\m^2$, respectively. The maximum CGR attanined were 208, 237 and 272 gDM$\m^2$/week, while the mean EU was 2.55, 2.92 and 2.84% N1, N2 and N3, respectively. The total nitrogen standing quantity attained 53.4, 71.8 and 59.8 gN/$\m^2$ at the maximum standing crop period. The net nitrogen absorption rates showed highly significant differences among nitrogen treatments, i.e., 1.34, 10.77 and 13.22 mg/g/day for $N_1,\; N_2\; and \;N_3$ stand, repsectively.

Stable lateral-shearing interferometer for in-line inspection of aspheric pick-up lenses (생산 라인에서의 광 Pick-up용 비구면 대물 렌즈 측정을 위한 안정된 층밀리기 간섭계)

  • Aspheric pick-up lenses are increasingly used in consumer products such as computer and multimedia, as their mass production has become possible owing to the injection molding process. However still much work needs to be done for more effective manufacture of aspheric lenses, one area of which is the in-line inspection of produced lenses. In this paper, we present a lateral-shearing interferometer that has specially been designed to have a high immunity to external vibration and atmospheric disturbance. The interferometer comprises four prisms. They are directly attached to each other using an immersion oil so that relative sliding motions between the prisms are allowed. Their relative displacement can readily generate necessary lateral-shearing and phase-shifting to determine the wavefront of the beam collimated by the lens under inspection. A special phase-measuring algorithm of arbitrary-bucket is adopted to compensate the phase-shifting error caused by the thickness reduction in the immersion oil. Zernike polynomial fitting has done for determinating quantitative aberration of aspheric pick-up lenses. The interferometer built in this work is robust to external mechanical vibration and atmospheric disturbance so that experimental results show that it has a repeatability of less than λ/100.

A Study on Computer Aided Surgical Simulation Method for Total Hip Arthroplasty (컴퓨터 응용 인공고관절 모사 시술 방법 연구)

  • Total hip arthroplasty(THA) considerably depends on high-experienced doctors because of high difficulty of the operation. Selection of acetabular cup's and femoral implant's position is closely related with success or failure of THA. Nevertheless the selection has usually depended on doctor's eye measurement, which makes the position accuracy of artificial joint lower after THA, often resulting in revision of THA. The present study determined a method to select accurately the position of acetabular cup and femoral implant through surgical simulation with 3D characteristic geometrical information of patient's pelvis and femur. We examined the change of femoral anteversion angle and neck-shaft angle accompanied by the change of acetabular cup's position and the insertion position of femoral implant. As result of analyzing geometrical information through different surgical simulations, we found that it was possible to select the accurate position of acetabular cup and femoral implant. It is expected to help doctors get experienced in THA operation through repetitive surgical simulations using the method suggested in the study.

Tree Growth and Nutritional Changes in Senescing Leaves of 'Fuyu' Persimmon as Affected by Different Nitrogen Rates during Summer (여름 질소 시비량에 따른 '부유' 감나무의 생장과 노화 중 잎의 양분 변화)

  • With pot-grown 4-year-old 'Fuyu' persimmon trees, this study evaluated the effect of different nitrogen (N) rates during summer on fruit characteristics, changes of leaf nutrients after harvest, reserve accumulation, and early growth the following year. A total of 0, 36 g N in June, and 72 g N in June and July was fertigated to each tree using urea solution. All the fruits were harvested on Nov. 3. Although not significant, fruits were larger for the 36 g and 72 g N than the 0 g N. Fruits for the 0 g N, having lower N concentration, were softer and had a better coloration and higher soluble solids, indicating that they matured earlier. SPAD value on Nov. 3 was 19.2 for the 0 g N and 54.9 for the 72 g N, and then the values linearly decreased in all the treatments by Nov. 14, exhibiting rapid leaf senescence. Specific leaf weight, being the lowest for the 0 g N, also gradually decreased during this period. Increasing N level significantly increased cross-sectional area of the trunk. Leaf N concentration on Nov. 3 was 0.87% for the 0 g N, whereas it was 1.18 and 1.52% for the 36 g and 72 g N, respectively. The N fertigation tended to increase leaf concentrations of soluble sugars, starch, and amino acids. Contents of N, P, K, soluble sugars, starch, and amino acids per unit leaf area gradually decreased in all the treatments during the 11 days after harvest, and the extent of the decrease was the lowest for the 0 g N. On the other hand, those of Ca, Mg, and protein did not consistently change during this period. The N fertigation resulted in higher concentrations of N in dormant shoots on Nov. 14, and although not great, it also increased soluble sugars, starch, amino acids, and protein. Clear differences were found in number of flower buds per one-year-old branch and total shoot length per tree the following year. The 72 g N trees had 5.6-fold more flower buds and 1.9-fold more shoot length, compared with those of 0 g N trees. However, it was noted that tree growth the following year was not significantly different between the 36 g and 72 g N the previous year. It was concluded that N rate during summer should be adjusted with considering the changes of fruit maturation, mobilization of leaf nutrients, and reserve accumulation.

  • The effect of particle shape and size on the settling characteristics in monodisperse suspensions of non-spherical particles was investigated. The slope index n values which was obtained from the plot of logarithm of settling rate vs. voidage were increased with the decrease of particle size because different amount of liquid could be adsorbed on irregular particle shape and/or size at same volume concentration. From the experimental results, an equation, $n_{i}=n(a+b/d_{v})$ where n is value of spherical particles, dv is minimum particle diameter and a, b are constants for characteristic of particles.

국내 모바일용 광학렌즈업계 동향

  • 최근 국내 전자산업 및 정보통신 산업의 발전을 바탕으로 전자기기 및 정보통신기기 제조에 필요로 하는 광학부품 및 유니트 시장이 급격하게 커지고 있다. 대표적인 예로 카메라폰용 렌즈 시장을 들 수 있는데 많은 회사들이 이 분야에 참여하고 있고 계속해서 신규참여 회사들이 늘고 있어 경쟁이 과열되는 양상까지 보이고 있다. 특히‘세계속의 휴대폰강국’을 만드는데 일익을 담당한 국내의 휴대폰 셋트메이커와 센서메이커의 후광효과는 광학렌즈의 대량 수요창출과 함께 이쪽시장으로 향한 렌즈업체들의 신규진입을 더욱 부추기는 결과를 낳았다. 현재 VGA급과 1.3메가급 렌즈가 시장을 주도하고 있으나 AF기능 및 줌기능을 탑재한 카메라폰이 시장진입을 앞두고 비구면글라스렌즈 채용과 관련, 비구면글라스렌즈 생산업체들의 시장 진입도 본격화될 전망이다. 이를 통해 전반적인 소형광학렌즈에서부터 고부가가치 비구면글라스 관련 다양한 기술력을 축적해 나가는 발판이 될 것으로 보인다.
