Comparison of the Real-Time Nucleic Acid Sequence-Based Amplification (NASBA) Assay, Reverse Transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) and Virus Isolation for the Detection of Enterovirus RNA. (엔테로바이러스 검출을 위한 real-time nucleic acid sequence-based amplification (NASBA), reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) 및 바이러스 배양법의 비교)

  • Rapid detection of enterovirus (EVs) is important in the management of aseptic meningitis. We examined the relative efficiency and specificity of the real-time nucleic acid sequence-based amplification (NASBA) comparing with the established reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and viral culture method which were used for the detection of enterovirus RNA in clinical specimens. Of the total 292 samples, 145 were found to be positive to enterovirus RNA by real-time NASBA, 101 were positive by viral culture, and 86 were positive by RT-PCR. 147 samples and 46 samples were determined to be negative and positive by all methods respectively, but 4 samples were positive only by real-time NASBA. To compare the specificity of each method, various clinical samples which were diagnosed for herpes simplex virus (HSV)-1, HSV-2, adenovirus, mumps, and rhinovirus were applied. Except one rhinovirus sample which was false positive to enterovirus RNA by RT-PCR, the other different samples were negative to all three methods. The real-time NASBA procedure can be completed within 5 hours in contrast with 9 hours for the RT-PCR and 3-14 days for the viral culture. From this study, it was suggested that the real-time NASBA assay could be a standardized, rapid, specific, and sensitive procedure for the detection of enterovirus RNA.

A Comparative Study on the Bearing Capacity of Dynamic Load Test and Static Load Test of PHC Bored Pile (PHC 매입말뚝의 동재하시험과 정재하시험의 지지력 비교·분석 연구)

  • In case of USA, the drilled shaft and the driven pile in the field showed a good correlation in the analysis of the bearing capacity between the dynamic load test and the static load test. However, in Korea, we mainly install the bored pile, which is not widely used overseas and we tried to confirm the reliability of the dynamic load test on the bored pile, because many people questioned the reliability of it. In this study, load tests were carried out on PHC bored piles in LH field (Cheonan, Incheon, Uijeongbu), and the bearing capacity of the dynamic load test (EOID 7times, Restrike 7times) and the static load test (7times) were compared and analyzed. As a result, the average of the bearing capacity of the static load test was 27% higher than that of the dynamic load test (reliability : 0.73, coefficient of variation : 0.3). And the average of the bearing capacity of the static load test (Davisson) was 27% higher than that of the bearing capacity of the dynamic load test (Davisson) (reliability : 0.73, coefficient of variation : 0.2). To reduce the difference between the bearing capacity of the dynamic load test and the static load test, we proposed modified bearing capacity of dynamic load test (base bearing capacity of EOID + skin frictional force of restrike) and difference between the bearing capacities was reduced to 9% (reliability : 0.91, coefficient of variation : 0.2). And the coefficient of variation was reduced to 0.2 and the consistency of analysis increased.

  • 워크플로우는 정보 시스템의 주요 통합 도구로서 시스템 개발과 더불어 개발된 시스템에 대한 시험 또한 매우 중요하다. 워크플로우 시험 종류에는 적합성 시험과 기능 및 성능 시험이 있다. 시험에 대한 평가 기준은 시험 요구 사항으로부터 도출되며 이에 대한 시험 방법은 다양하게 나타난다. 본 고에서는 워크플로우 시험 요구 사항 정의로부터 시험 동향 분석 결과를 소개하고, 기능 비교 시험의 사례 연구를 통해 구체적인 시험 방법을 알아본다.

Experimental Study on Consolidation Characteristics of Soft Marine Deposit by Piezocone Dissipation Test (피에조콘 소산시험을 통한 해성연악지반의 압밀특성에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Field piezocone dissipation tests are performed, and the results are compared to the Rowe cell consolidation tests results to investigate the consolidation characteristics of soft marine deposit at the same location in Korea. From these results, statistical formula fur the relation between the coefficients of horizontal consolidation$(c_r)$ from Rowe cell consolidation tests and $t_{50}$ from pore pressure dissipation tests by Piezocone is suggested through the regression analysis. The results are also compared to the existing theoretical formula. It is also shown that suggested formula is similar to Torstensson's(1977) formula based on cylindrical cavity expansion theory and Houlsby and Teh's(1988) formula based on strain path method.

  • In this study, a comparison was conducted to verify the propellant isolation assembly of the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO). An engineering validation model (EVM) is being developed to simulate the flow of the flight model. Three factors were selected for comparison: the total pressure drop during propellant isolation assembly, the waterhammer by driving thruster valve, and the orifice set up for flow control and damping the waterhammer. The analysis results are compared with EVM test results. In the future, backup data to confirm the design will be established.

  • In this study, aerodynamic coefficients obtained from Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using wind tunnel test-like method is compared with coefficients obtained by actual wind tunnel test. Unsteady analysis has performed with using harmonic equation for motion of the external store. Aerodynamic database is generated based on CFD results to simulate 6 degree-of-freedom store separation analysis. Trajectory is obtained from simulation using both CFD-based and test-based database, and results are compared with trajectory from flight test result. It is concluded that generation of database based on CFD with wind tunnel test technique is valid from good agreement of the trajectory.

  • 인터넷의 활성화와 더불어 정보보호제품의 사용이 일반화되고 있으며, 제품의 성능을 객관적으로 측정할 수 있는 성능 시험을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 정보보호제품의 성능시험동향을 다루고 있다. 먼저, 정보보호제품을 대상으로한 성능시험의 소개와 필요성에 대해서 설명한 후, 국내외 성능시험 현황을 소개한다. 현황에서는 미국과 유럽 등의 해외 시험 기관과 국내의 시험 기관에서 시행하고 있는 성능시험에 대해서 알아본다. 또한 시험 기관의 성능시험방법을 비교하고 정보보호제품의 성능시험에 고려해야 할 사항에 대해 살펴본다.

A Study on Adhesion Test Methods for Fire Hose (소방호스 밀착강도시험방법에 관한 연구)

  • In order to improve the adhesion test methods for fire hose, 7 kinds of standards (KOFEIS, UL, FM, NFPA, BS, Chinese standard, JIS, JFEII standard) in 5 countries (Korea, USA, UK, China, Japan) were compared and adhesion tests were conducted by using the samples choosed randomly from the product produced in Korea. It was concluded that the sample size, the rate of seperation of a strip of the lining from the janet and standard judgment should be more differed and divided in accordance with the fire hose number in adhesion test to get the high Quality of fire hose.

  • 피에조콘관입시험(PCPT)의 소산시험은 in-situ 상태의 압밀계수(c/sub v/)를 추정하는 방법으로 널리 이용되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 spherical cavity expansion theory 및 axisymmetric uncoupled linear consolidation equation(Gupta & Davidson, 1986)을 이용하여 과압밀점토에서의 초기과잉간극수압의 분포 및 과잉간극수압의 시간에 대한 소산현상을 해석하는 수치해석방법을 제안하여 현장시험결과 및 실내시험결과와 비교 분석하였다. ADIS (alternating direction implicit scheme)를 이용한 FDM 해석을 실시한 결과와 현장시험의 소산곡선은 잘 부합되는 것으로 나타났으며 압밀계수도 실내실험 또는 피에조콘관입 시험에 대한 추정방법으로 산출된 값과 비교적 일치하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 실내시험으로 구한 점토의 공학적 성질은 샘플링, 운반, 저장, 그리고 성형과정 동안에 발생하는 시료의 교란으로 인해 원지반의 성질과 다르게 측정된다. 본 연구에서는 양산점토에 대한 삼축압축시험($CK_{o}$ UC) 결과를 이용하여 샘플링 방법에 따른 교란의 정도를 평가하였다. 실험에 사용된 시료는 76mm 튜브샘플러, 76mm 피스톤샘플러, 블록샘플러로 채취되었으며, 시료의 교란정도를 평가하기 위해 각 시료에서 측정된 체적변형률, 비배수 전단강도, Secant Youngs modulus, 그리고 파괴시 간극수압계수를 비교하였다. 시료의 교란정도를 평가하는 것 이외에도 SHANSEP 방법을 이용하여 수행한 $CK_{o}$ U 삼축압축시험 결과를 이용하여 양산점토에 대한 정규화 전단강도($C_{u}$ /$\sigma$$_{vc}$ )와 OCR 관계를 규명하였다. 또, 피에조콘 관입시험, 딜라토메타 시험, 그리고 현장 베인시험결과를 이용하여 구한 양산점토의 비배수 전단강도를 삼축압축시험 결과와 비교하였다.
