초고진공용 부품 적용을 위한 스테인리스 스틸과 구리의 용접 (Welding of Stainless Steel to Copper for UHV Component Application)

  • 가속기의 저장링 및 빔라인에는 방사광을 차단 혹은 일부 통과 둥의 목적으로 Photon Absorber와 같은 진공 부품이 사용되고 있으며, 이는 일반적으로 구리와 스테인리스 스틸 등의 이종재료를 브레이징 공정을 이용하여 제작함으로써 부품이 구조적 건성의 확보와 더불어 진공환경 및 수밀을 유지하고 있다. 그러나, Photon Absorber는 사용 용도에 따라 구조적 형상이 서로 다르기 때문에 브레이징 공정을 적용하는 경우, 상대적으로 제품 생산가격의 상승, 유지보수 및 제작불량에 따른 공정 제어의 어려움이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스테인리스 스틸 (STS 304)과 구리(OFHC Copper)의 이종금속에 접합에 GTAW 용접 공정 기술을 적용하여 제반 용접공정에 따른 용접부 성능 및 진공 특성 등을 검토하였다. 용접봉 (ER CuSi-A)을 직접 사용하여 이종 재료의 시험편에 GTAW 용접을 적용한 결과, 진공 누설율은 $1{\times}10^{-10}\;Torr{\cdot}l/s$ 이하를 얻을 수 있었으며, 용접 접합부의 인장강도 210 MPa로써 구리 모재와 유사한 기계적 특성을 나타내었다.

  • Applications of Brazing in the studying fields such as High-Speed Machining are very increasing in various industry fields. Therefore, Applying to the fracture mechanics by numerical analysis method is very important to analyse the crack problem Dissimilar Materials in Brazed Interface. In this study, Stress intensity Factor (S.I.F) is analysed to investigate crack behavior on the crack tip of dissimilar materials in brazed interface such as a Hardmetal and a HSS by two dimensional(2-D) Boundary Element Method (BEM). Kelvin's solution was used as a fundamental solution in BEM analysis and stress extrapolation method was used to determine Stress Intensity Factor.

  • 본 연구에서는 소형 액체 추력기 제작 공정 중 하나인 브레이징 부품 접합에서 발생한 Failure 사례에 대한 분석을 위해 가능 원인을 도출하고 이에 대한 검증을 위한 Sample Test를 수행하였다. Brazing Material, 부품 가공성 등에서 도출된 요인들이 Overflow 현상에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 실제 발생 원인을 파악하였으며, 이를 통해 원활한 공정 진행을 도모할 수 있었다.

  • In this study, By employing two dimensional(2-D) Boundary Element Method(BEM) stress analysis was carried to investigate stress distributions on the brazing joint of a Hardmetal and a HSS. Two model was proposed to analyze stress singularity in brazed interface. The stress results from the BEM were considered influence of the kind of materials , thickness of filled metal and length of vertical brazing adhesive. From those obtained results , the peak point of stress was founded in the lower part of two interface was made by brazing. As the thickness and length changed, the maximum stress tended to change in the peak point.

레이저 브레이징에서의 열유동 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Heat Flow in Laser Brazing)

  • An advantage offered by brazing over fusion welding is that strong joints may be produced at relatively low heat input. To minimize the thermal effects and maintain the desired dimension of assemblies. the CO$_{2}$ laser beam can be applied to the brazed joint of pin and plate as a micro heat source. This paper presents a analysis model of the laser brazing process considering the laser beam mode and heat flow in brazed parts by using the finite element method. The simulation results were compared with the experimental results obtained from the infrared temperature sensing system. Based on these results, the proper process parameters were investigated to get a good joining quality. The influence of the beam mode change was examined with respect to the temperature distribution and joint quality.

동-스테인리스강 브레이징 접합부의 계면 조직과 접합 강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Interfacial Structure and Shear Strength of Cu/Stainless Steel Brazed Joint)

  • In this experiment, to find optimum brazing conditions for Cu/Stainless Steel brazing using filler metals of Ag-Cu-Zn-Cd system, first of all spreading ratio was tested on 304 stainless Steel and low carbon steel. And then shear test of brazed joint was executed. As the result of that, the shear strengths of brazed joints were the range of 60-90 MPa. Through microstructure analysis for brazed interface layer, We found as follows. Firstly interface layer increased as time increased. Secondly continuous layer of Ag-Cd compound was observed along the side of stainless steel. Also by means of EDS analysis for fracture surface, ductile fracture was occurred and precipitates on the fracture surface were found to include Cr, Mn, Si in Ag-rich phase.

AZ31 마그네슘합금과 아연도금강판 이종소재의 레이저 브레이징 특성 (Characteristics of the laser brazing on AZ31 magnesium alloy and Zn coated steel dissimilar joint)

  • The dissimilar welding between magnesium alloy and steel sheet was required in automobile industry to increase the strength of the dissimilar joints. Laser brazing is one of the good joining processes for Mg- steel dissimilar joint. In this study, AZ31 magnesium alloy and Zn coated steel dissimilar joint was brazed using diode direct laser with Mg600 filler wire and Superior #21 flux. The wetting of Mg filler wire on Zn coating was very good because of the formation of eutectic phase with low melting temperature. The strength of the brazed joint between AZ31 magnesium alloy and Zn coated steel was 131.3N/mm. The fracture occurred at brazement.
