Second, consumer-brand relationship had a positive(+) influence on re-purchase intention(Hypothesis 7), word-of-mouth intention(Hypothesis 8), and brand extension acceptability(Hypothesis 9) as a whole. Finally, omni-channel brand showed the following relationship with and achievements. re-purchase intention had a positive(+) influence on both word-of-mouth intention(Hypothesis 10) and brand extension acceptability(Hypothesis 11) while word-of-mouth intention had a positive(+) influence on brand extension acceptability. This study attempts to reveal that the connection between consumers' self enhancement and consumer-brand relationship can be formed from brand experiences not only through a direct use of products or brands but also through companies' marketing activities including advertising or promotion, in that consumers' sensual, affective, cognitive, and behavioral response to brands are included in brand experiences. After experiencing the Samsung Galaxy S brand with manipulated stimulus, 248 respondents' positive emotion and self-enhancement were increased. Also the positive emotion induced by brand experience increase self-enhancement. This study also shows that brand experience and self-enhancement can significantly affect consumer-brand relationship which in turn affects brand loyalty such as satisfaction, recommendation intention, and repurchase intention. Experiencing strong, favorable, and attractive brand personalities may help consumers to increase positive emotions with self-enhancement and help companies to have brand loyalty through consumer-brand relationship.

Emotional associations formed in the relationships between the consumer and luxury brands can be approached via examining the roles these associations play when they account for the brand equity of the luxury brands. The present study is an exploratory examination on the effects a battery of emotional relationships exert upon the consumers' intention to participate in promotional activities and in communities built around the brand, which is a crucial part of the luxury brand's equity, in regards to Korea's burgeoning import auto market. Participants who completed the survey are professionals such as medical doctors, lawyers, accountants, and university professors. Included in the analyses are the top six automobile brands in sales(i.e., BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Audi, and Volkswagen), and the scores that the respondents provided regarding the way they relate themselves to particular foreign car brands are analyzed and yield six different groups of emotional associations(i.e., affection, identification, indispensability, reliability, intimacy, and awe). The brand equity is measured with three variables that show the levels of the consumer's participatory intentions toward each brand are analyzed in order to elicit the antecedent variables and their impact on the participation variables in the regression models. When the respondents are divided into two groups by the levels of brand knowledge(i.e., scores drawn from the respondent's capability of correctly linking specific automobile brands with the corresponding corporate brands), consumers with higher brand knowledge show distinct patterns of influential variables, as they differentiate themselves from less knowledgeable consumers in terms of the influential antecedent variables accounting for the consumer's intended participation.
The study examined moderating role of thinking style about causality in the relationship between the perceived brand globalness(PBG) and the brand evaluation. Thinking style about causality is divided into interactionism and dispositionism. Individualism culture shows a tendency of thinking style about causality to dispositionism, and collectivist cultures shows a tendency for interactionism. We conducted a survey on Korean college students who represent collectivist cultures and foreign students from countries of individualistic culture and analyzed data through structural equation modeling. Analysis result showed that the higher the respondents perceived PBG, the higher they perceived brand quality, brand quality, and brand price. However, it showed that PBG has greater positive effects on perceived brand quality and perceived brand reputation among Korean students than students from individualistic cultures. On the other hand, the effects of PBG on perceived brand price did not show any significant difference between Korean students and students from individualist cultures. Thus, we can conclude that thinking style about causality plays a moderating role in the relationship between PBG and perceived brand quality and brand reputation, while it does not do so between PBG and perceived brand price.
This study analyzed the structural correlation between parent brand attitude, including attitude toward the advertisement, attitude toward the store and brand attitude, and brand extension evaluation, relationships among which are conceived as a brand extension evaluation process. The result of analysis, revealed statistical significances of the differences in the effect levels between attitude toward store and brand attitude, between brand attitude and brand extension evaluation level, and between brand extension evaluation level and purchase intention of an extended product depending on the choice of distribution channel type. Therefore the evaluation level of brand extension should be analyzed by structural relationship model based on the consumer behavior's viewpoint with distribution channel type and it can provide the important information for restructuring distribution channel and increase the level of the successful brand extension.
The present study aimed to investigate the relationships among consumers' personality trait, brand tribalism, and brand commitment through brand trust and perceived switching cost. Data were collected from a convenience sample of three-hundred and ninety-four undergraduate students at a large Korean university. The participants consisted of 54.1% female (N = 213) and 45.9% male (N = 181). The results indicated that extraversion, conscientiousness, and emotional stability traits are directly related to brand tribalism. Also, brand commitment was directly associated with brand tribalism, brand trust, and perceived switching cost. In particular, our results showed the relationship between brand tribalism and brand commitment was mediated by brand trust, but not perceived switching cost. Therefore, our findings suggest that strong emotional connection of brand tribes may increase perceived switching costs and, consequently, affect brand commitment.
