This study is aimed at proposing a new type of ubiquitous decision support system (u-DSS) portal which is embedded with two important mechanisms like an intelligent ontology management module (i-OMM) and multi-agent coordination mechanism (MACM). The proposed portal provides timely decision support to the involved decision entities (represented as agents) by taking advantage of the two mechanisms embedded on the portal. The most important virtue of the proposed portal is that it can resolve two problems such as semantic discordance and data confliction which are occurring very often in an ubiquitous computing environment. Frequent requests of revising the already established decision information due to the rapid changes in decision entities' requirements require the extremely flexible and intelligent u-DSS vehicle like theproposed mechanism. In this sense, the i-OMM is designed to provide support to solving the semantic discordance in the way that the i-OMM virtually integrates ontology view (IOV) to integrate heterogeneous ontology among the agents engaged inubiquitous commerce situations. Then the i-OMM sends the IOV to the MACM to resolve the conflicts among the involved agents. The proposed u-DSS portal was applied to the u-fulfillment problem in which all the involved decisionagents need their own requirements to be satisfied seamlessly and timely. The experimental results show that the proposed u-DSS portal is very robust and promising in the field of u-DSS and context modeling.

There are increasing needs for an individual or enterprise to interchange documents electronically through communication network to enhance the efficiency of business, according to the rapid progress in the construction of communication network. UN has established and distributed the standards for electronic documents to facilitate rapid and accurate processing of business. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of an integrated system for processing documents that conform to the electronic document standards. This system consists of three subsystems, which are an EDI parser for checking syntax, an EDI document editor, and an EDI directory viewer for referencing syntax of an EDI document. Integrated usage of these tools can afford the composition of correct EDI documents more rapidly and conveniently.

In this paper, we propose relevant to design and implementation of an integrated management system for various speech corpora. The purpose of this paper is to manage an integrated management system for various kinds of speech corpora necessary for speech research and speech corpora constructed in different data formats. In addition, ways are considered to allow users to search with effect for speech corpora that meet various conditions which they want, and to allow them to add with ease corpora that are constructed newly. In order to achieve this goal, we design a global schema for an integrated management of new additional information without changing old speech corpora, and construct a web-based integrated management system based on the scheme that can be accessed without any temporal and spatial restrictions. Finally, we describe the web based interface which are the executed results involved in the service and show the efficiency of using the index view for implementation of integrated management system.

Ontology-based approaches for automated information integration are being widely investigated. The existing approaches explicitly represent the semantics of information sources in ontologies and let the computer system, through aligning or merging the source ontologies, provide a global view of information sources. The problem of aligning or merging different ontologies is a well known problem, and the inter-ontology mappings play an essential role in information integration. To enable simple and well-founded mappings , the ontologies of information sources should be modeled with the same world view and with the same manner of representation. This paper introduces an ontology modeling framework for component libraries, which is developed based on the Guarino's theory of upper ontology . This paper discusses the results of modeling ontologies of mold and die component libraries based on the framework. A Web-based implementation automatically merges the source ontologies.

In this paper, a conceptual data model, called the UDM(Unified Data Model), to efficiently represent database structures related with object technology and complex structured data, is proposed. This model integrates major features of modern data models, such as E-R model, Semantic Object Model, and UML, especially from the viewpoint of database design. This model is basically a simplified, but extended version of the Object-Relationship Model, which was proposed to model complex structures of temporal-spatial multimedia data. This model incorporates some of the important semantic and structural information of modern database applications and it is designed to support all of the major logical database models, including relational, object-relational, object-oriented, and (semi-)structured databases. A special diagrammatic technique, called the UDD(Unified Data Diagram), is introduced as a tool for database design. Also, possible ways to derive logical views of data from this unified data model are presented. The proposed model can be utilized as a convenient and practical tool for conceptual database designs.

E-mail has been eidely used for unformation delivery as an Inernet serive. As multimedia etchnologies are developed rapidly, most of the recent Unternet infornation servies support multimedia data. E-mail system also needs to suport multimedia nesage. But Internet mail servise using simple maiol transfer protocol(SMTP) speci-fied in RFC 821/822 handles only ASCII text messages repressented with 7-bit code. Each line the message has the length limitation as well. Those are why it cannot satisfy the diverse user'w demands. Multipuepose Unternet mail extensions(MIMZE), which is a modification and supplement of RFC 822,was proposed for supporting transportation of multimedia data.It can solve the limitations of sizes and types in contents of a message. In this study the E-mail system has been designed and implemented according to the MIME standard in order to solve the limitations of transpotation of messages regardless of the message content type. Hypertext markup language(HTML)syntax is applied to the mail system, and so it is possible to display a message consisting of differnt media as an intergrated from for the purpose of better understanding a message. No application program is needed for displaying a message including image data,and convenience for user is considered in the system. The futuer work is to improve the E-mail system so that it may support motion pictures and sound information,Thereby tge perfor multimeda E-mail system providing inergrated user's wiew will be developed.

정보기술 발전에 따라 정보 활용 및 처리 역량이 상승하면서 교육 환경의 지능화, 네트워크화로 기술간, 서비스 간 융 복합을 통한 다양한 학습 내용 및 방법이 출현하였으며, 최근 e-러닝 산업에서 스마트기기 보급 확산과 상황 적응적이고 자기 주도적 학습에 대한 소비자의 니즈가 증가하면서 새로운 형태의 교육시스템인 스마트러닝이 부각되고 있다. 이러한 교육 패러다임의 변화에 따라 기존의 교육 콘텐츠를 스마트기기에 적용하기 위해서는 콘텐츠 및 솔루션 구조의 개선이 요구되며, 또한 서비스 제공의 측면에서 다양한 교육 콘텐츠 연동과 교육 서비스 융합을 위한 표준 플랫폼 적용이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 JVM 환경의 PC 인터페이스를 통해 ePub 표준의 교육용 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 제작기능과 기존 서책형 파일 포맷의 자료 정보를 응용하기 위한 정보변환 모듈, 스마트 기기용 ePub 전자책 뷰어를 포함하는 통합 솔루션 소프트웨어인 ePub Solution을 설계하였다.

본 논문에서는 일반책에서의 정적 컨텐츠 요소와 오디오나 동영상 등의 멀티미디어 요소를 디지털 형태의 정보로 가공 및 저장하여 전자북을 편집할 수 있는 전자 출판 시스템을 설계한다. 기존의 전자북들은 멀티미디어 요소들을 보기 위한 별도의 전용 뷰어 설치가 요구되며, 서로 다른 포맷이나 다양한 프로그램들로 제작되어 문서의 통합 저장 및 관리가 어려운 실정이다. 본 논문에서 설계한 시스템은 별도의 전용 뷰어 대신 익스플로어와 같은 일반적인 뭔 브라우저를 이용하는 웹 뷰어를 지원하고, XML을 사용하여 보다 효율적으로 정보의 통합 관리 및 저장을 지원함으로써 다양한 컨텐츠 정보의 고수준의 재사용성을 제공한다. 또한, 웹상에서의 멀티미디어 요소들의 표현 시 요구되는 동기화 처리 기술을 위하여 SMIL을 이용함으로써 보다 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 및 멀티미디어 요소들의 시간적, 이벤트 발생적 동기화를 지원하여 정보 전달의 이해도를 놀일 수 있도록 한다. 설계 시스템은 웹 상에서 전자북을 보기위한 웹 뷰어, 전자북 출판 시 텍스트와 멀티미디어 요소를 표현하는 XML과 SMIL문서를 각각 자동적으로 생성하는 XMLnSMIL 에디터, 생성된 각 문서들을 데이터베이스에 저장하기 위한 XMLnSMIL2DB 저장기, 데이터베이스 내의 데이터들로 부터 XML과 SMIL문서를 자동으로 생성하는 DB2XMLnSMIL 생성기 등으로 구성된다.

As information renewal period comes to be quick recently, the need that IRS must have data management facilities such as transaction processing, join, view, trigger is extending. Therefore, DB-IR(Database ? Information Retrieval) Integration is a recent budding area of interest in the research fields of database area and information retrieval area. Since the role of DB-IR integration systems is different from those of DBMS or IRS, It is necessary to be a new design of structure for DB-IR integration system. We have designed a new server structure for efficiency and stability of DB-IR integration system.

The business environment of enterprises could be difficult to obviate redundancy to filtrate data source occurred on data integrated to standard rules and meta-data and to produce integration of data and single viewer in geographical and spatial distributed environment. Specially, To can interchange various data from a heterogeneous system or various applications without types and forms and synchronize continually exactly integrated information#s is of paramount concern. Therefore data hub system based on SQL/XMDR message to overcome a problem of meaning interoperability occurred on exchanging or jointing between each legacy systems are proposed in this paper. This system use message mapping technique of query transform system to maintain data modified in real-time on cooperating data. It can consistently maintain data modified in realtime on exchanging or jointing data for cooperating legacy systems, it improve clarity and availability of data by providing a single interface on data retrieval.
