A Study on the Relationship Between Halitosis and Dentures (불쾌감을 유발하는 구취와 의치장착의 상호관계)

  • The main purpose of this study was to observe the relationship of denture and halitosis and to investigate the influence with oral health indexes. Also we examined the contribution factors to subjective awareness of halitosis by denture condition. A total sample of 103 elderly people were answered questionnaire and all collected survey data were processed for data analyses. Based on general characteristics, the study of the halitosis showed higher score which is older age, oral health attitude, and living together. The result showed that the use of denture, dental intelligent quotient (dental IQ) and type of denture were significantly correlated with halitosis. These results indicated that halitosis was affected by denture and oral health index. According to these findings, it is necessary to develop and apply the oral health promotion program which is include the management of halitosis especially for elderly person.

  • Vibrations on the floor in a car are transmitted to the foot, hip, and back from the seat. Human body recognizes these vibrations, but the sensitivity for each vibration is different. To evaluate these vibrations, RMS(root mean square) of accelerations, VDV(vibration does value) are commonly used. The ride comfort evaluation is usually carried out by experiments of real cars which are expensive. The purpose of this paper is to briefly review the status of several ride vibration standards and criteria having relevance to construction machinery vehicles and to suggest recommendations for the effective use of such criteria in vehicle / component development.

  • 실내조명으로서의 LED는 휘도의 분포특성이 기존의 조명기구와는 판이하게 다르며, 이에 따라 불쾌감을 느끼는 정도에서도 변화가 일어날 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 가장 일반적으로 사용되어지는 글레어 평가지수인 UGR을 간단히 보정하여 LED 조명기구에 대한 값으로 사용할 수 있도록 주관평가 실험을 통해 보정식을 산출해내고 LED 조명기구별 증가계수 k를 구하였다.

The Change of The Average Discomfort Index from June to September during The Past 10 Years (한반도의 여름철 불쾌지수 특성 분석)

  • This study analyzes spatio-temporal variability of discomfort index for summer the during the past ten years(2001~2010) in the Korean Peninsula, and considers the application possibility of discomfort index as a preliminary data for various phenomenon of society based on the analysis. Discomfort index defined as daily representative value was estimated using hourly temperature and humidity data which are observed 60 weather stations managed by Korea Meteorological Administration. The result indicates that the discomfort index in summer keeps the level at which one feels unpleasant, and the level increased steadily as temperature is rising. And discomfort index in 3 pm and on August are the highest during the day and year. Gangwon-do have shown the lowest discomfort index among the provinces. Variability analysis of discomfort index due to climate changes can be used for making policies in various fields such as industry and public health field.

  • There is exhibit a degree of pain in the occurrence and course of treatment levels or oral, pain rating scale actions, such as illness, for example, the discomfort scale because of the pain "annoying", "unpleasant" "annoyed am", "painful" represents a pain scale of the order of "painful", "hard to bear", "very difficult to bear". Depression is recognized based on the premise of the situation, because it is difficult to recognize themselves. In this paper we define the components of the depression can be seen lifestyle which can lead to depression or through a biological signal. The depression index was derived from the ontology modeling to understand the state of depression. Depression ontology components and depression index will be aware of the situation based information services for depression. Combined with the situational awareness based devices and can be synchronized to verify the results of the depression index. It will be applied to improve lifestyle factors that of depression.

  • The vibration reduction process for the driver comfort of a forklift truck is studied in this study since the related driver comfort is a primary design target in the vehicle design recently. However, the underlying study for a vibration analysis regarding to the driver comfort is still an element stage. Thus, a preceding large work has to be needed to apply the CAE technology for the detail vehicle design, and it prevents the vehicle optimal design. To reduce the proceeding large works, the evaluated process and required data are comply with the accumulated trouble shooting experiences in this study. Since the driver comfort is a human related problem, the human vibration index associated with analysis vibration result is additionally introduced as a driver comfort judgement value.

  • 본 논문은 기존에 시장에 출시된 선풍기에 아두이노(Arduino)를 기반으로 특수기능을 추가하여 스마트 선풍기를 설계하고 시제품을 제작하였다. 제안된 스마트 선풍기의 주요 기술적 기능은 온.습도 센서(temperature-humidity sensor)를 사용하여 온도와 습도를 측정하여 간접적인 불쾌지수를 계산하고, 불쾌감의 정도가 낮아질 때 까지 자동으로 전원을 제어하도록 하였다. 또한 수면의 질 향상을 위해 원하는 작동 시간 설정이 가능하도록 전원제어, 회전, 타이머 기능을 가지도록 하였다. 이러한 기능들을 블루투스(Bluetooth)를 통해 스마트 기기로 선풍기의 조작을 가능하게 하여 편의성을 높였다. 제작된 스마트 선풍기 시제품을 스마트폰 어플로 동작을 성공적으로 확인할 수 있었다.

Relationship between MMPI-2 Clinical Scales and SRQ of Brain Quotient (다면적 인성검사(MMPI-2)임상척도와 자기조절지수와의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory(MMPI-2) clinical scales and the self-regulation quotient of the brain quotient. The test in this study was performed by 41 adults over 20 years old and was done using the MMPI-2, which is a self-reporting method. EEG was performed using a 2-channel EEG System at Fp1 and Fp2. The analysis showed a negative correlation between scale 2(D), which is the MMPI-2 clinical scale, and the SRQ(Self Regulation Quotient) relaxation status, which is the related alpha rhythm. Scale3(Hy) showed a positive correlation with the SRQ concentration status and low ${\beta}$ rhythm. Scale7 in the MMPI-2 clinical scales showed a negative correlation with the SRQ relaxation status, which is the alpha rhythm. This means that MMPI-2 and SRQ can be used complementarily in the field of counseling. These results could be interpreted in three ways. First, people with depression are sensitive to other people's attention and evaluation. Therefore, they tend to expend a lot of energy when forming interpersonal relationships, and if they do not learn to relax, their fatigue can easily be increased. Second, people who seek other people's interest and have a cheerful spirit are considered to be highly active. Third, highly stressed people with anxiety and tension seem to easily become tired and their irritation and discomfort may be increased in consequence.

  • 현재, 새로운 조명광원으로서 백색 LED가 기대되고 있으며, 이를 이용하는 조명이 확대되어 실용화 될 것으로 예상된다. LED 광원을 이용하여 조명기구를 제작하고 이것을 실내조명으로 사용할 때 조명기구에 의한 글레어가 편안함을 주는지 불편함을 주는지에 대한 평가가 요구된다. 실내 조명환경에 대한 불쾌글레어를 평가하기 위해 UGR(Unified Glare Rating)을 추천하고 있다. 그러나 균일한 글레어 광원의 평균휘도를 이용하여 계산된 종래의 불쾌글레어 평가법들은 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 LED 조명기구에 대해서는 적용하기 어렵게 될 것으로 판단된다. 그래서 UGR를 이용하였을 경우, 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구와 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 대해서 어떠한 차이가 있는지 다음의 불쾌글레어의 주관평가 실험을 수행하였다. 평균휘도가 같고 최대 휘도와 최소 휘도가 다른 조명기구(균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구 1종과 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구 2종)를 글레어 광원으로 사용하였다. 입체각(${\omega}$)과 위치지수(Position Index)를 고정시키고 배경휘도($L_b$)와 광원휘도($L_s$)를 임의로 변화시켰다. 주어진 환경에서 피험자로 하여금 얼마나 편안하진 또는 불편한지에 대한 느낌을 값으로 평가하도록 하였다. 우선, UGR과 주관평가 사이에 차이가 나타났으며, 이는 동 서양에 따른 문화적 및 생리적 차이에 기인한다고 생각된다. 다음으로 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구보다 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 LED 조명기구가 더 높은 값을 할당 받아 LED 조명기구가 불쾌감을 더 유발시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 LED 소자 간격에 따른 영향은 글레어 광원의 휘도가 높아질수록 크게 나타났으며, 배경휘도에 대해서도 광원의 휘도가 높아질수록 LED 소자 간격의 차이에 의한 영향이 나타났다. 따라서 UGR식은 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 적용하기에는 적합하지만, 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 적용하기에는 부적합하다고 판단된다.

  • This research deals with design and performance validation of eco-pedals that generate tactile pedal force to guide fuel saving driving behavior. For eco-pedal control logic, allowable fuel consumption at given driving speed is calculated based on pre-defined "allowable acceleration", and if the actual fuel consumption exceeds the allowable fuel consumption, then pedal force is activated. Pedal force should be recognizable to driver while not causing unpleasantness, and should not interfere with normal operation of pedal. Reaction forces that increase pedal stiffness abruptly, such as step and ramp shape, turn out to be not suitable due to pedal overshoot after release of reaction force. With this regards, vibration type reaction force is adopted, and its optimal frequency, magnitude and duration is determined through subjective evaluation with consideration to effect to fuel efficiency. Though highway and city driving test, it is demonstrated that fuel efficiency increase of 13% for highway and 15% for city is achieved.
