Simultaneous Adsorption Characteristics of Binary-Component Volatile Organic Compounds (2성분계 휘발성유기화합물의 동시 흡착특성)

  • The adsorption characteristics of binary-component Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs) with benzene and toluene were studied in a fixed bed backed with activated carbon. The adsorption intensites of benzene and toluene resulted from equilibrium adsorption capacity led to roll up phenomenon in a fixed bed and behaved benzene as non-key component which meant the smaller affinity to the activated carbon of the two. From comparion with breakthrough curves between binary-component and single component systems at the same concentration conditions, the stoichiomertic breakthrough time of toluene in both systems had no difference, but that of benzene as non-key component had a tendency to shorten 130min than 200min of single component. In the breakthrough characteristics of binary-component adsorbates, the magnitude of roll-up of the non-key component increased with the increasing of non-key component ratio and aspect ratio(L/D) of fixed bed, while decreased with the increasing of interstitial velocity. Especially, the roll-up phenomenon was more conspicuous with the increasing of mole fraction of key component.

The Effects of Stamping and Roasting Treatments on Change of Volatile Flavor Components in Aged Curry Powder (미분쇄 및 배전처리가 숙성카레분의 휘발성 향기성분의 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to determine the effects of stamping and roasting treatment on change of volatile flavor components in curry powder aged for 6th month at $37^{\circ}C$. Volatile flavor components were collected by simultaneous distillation extraction method. Essential oils were analyzed by gas chromatography(GC) and combined gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). Aged curry powder contained large amounts of terpene hydrocarbones, terpene alchols and aromatic ether compounds. By stamping and roasting treatment, the peak area generally increased until 15min. at $70^{\circ}C$, whereas, that of peak decreased after 20 min. at $80^{\circ}C$, respectably.

  • The changes of volatile components of cooked rice during storage at $70^{\circ}C$ for 5 hr were investigated. Among more than 100 volatile components of fresh cooked rice, the predominant one was hexanal followed by nonanal, acetone, pentanal, butanal, heptanal, octanal and toluene. These eight components comprised about 55% of the total volatile, which was decreased by half after one hour storage. The amount of major volatile components in Tongil type rice was higher than Japonica rice, but the decrease of volatiles during storage was faster in the former.

Analyses of Essential Oil Components and Contents in Artemisia sp According to Heat Treatments (가열처리 방법에 따른 쑥의 정유 성분 및 함량 분석)

  • The essential oil obtained by steam distillation from a medicinal plant of Artemisia princeps. The essential oil was analyzed by GC-MS. The heat treatments in roasted condition of temperatures were $80^{\circ}C$, $110^{\circ}C$, and $230^{\circ}C$, and the lengths of the time were 6 min, 10 min, and 14 min, respectively. The blanching conditions($100^{\circ}C$) of the treatments lasted 1 min, 2 min, and 5 min while the times of oven dry ($50^{\circ}C$) was 5 min. As the result, the essential oil content of the control plot was higher than the others, and that of the roasted ones was the second highest in low temperature with short treatment time. The major components were eucalyptol, cyclohexadience, phenol, terpineol, and caryopbyllene.

Gas Chromatographic Performances for Simultaneous Determination of Multi-pesticide Residues and Extraction of Pesticides with Three Partition Solvents (잔류농약 다성분 동시분석을 위한 기체 크로마토그래피 분석성능과 3종 분배용매에 의한 농약추출)

  • In order to develop the simultaneous analytical method for pesticide residues which ones in soil are rapidly and inexpensively measured by, many analytical methods for individual pesticide residue and several methods for multi-pesticide residues in agricultural commodities and food were reviewed. Various gas chromatographic conditions and pre-treatment procedures were intensively investigated and modified. And then new optimum procedure was established and its proficiency was validated. The response on detectors of simultaneous determination of 180 pesticides out of pesticides used in Korea was tested. The number of pesticides that their limits of detection (LOD) equal or lower than $0.05\;mg\;kg^{-1}$ were 137 pesticides on ECD, 170 pesticides on NPD and 179 pesticides on ECD/NPD integrated. The retention times of most pesticides ranged appropriately between 10 minutes and 40 minutes in the proposed chromatographic conditions. But about 90 pesticides eluded between 20 minutes and 30 minutes and so they were not resolved enough. In partition with dichloromethane, ethyl acetate/hexane (1:1) and ethyl acetate, number of pesticides whose extraction efficiency ranged from 70% to 120%, were 163, 154 and 147, respectively.

Recovery of rare metals from SCR spent catalyst (탈질 폐촉매로부터 유가금속 회수)

  • 본 연구는 탈질용 폐 SCR 촉매로부터 유가금속인 바나듐과 텅스텐을 회수하기 위하여 고온 소다배소, 수침출, 침전 및 용매추출 실험 순으로 진행하였다. 소다배소는 $Na_2CO_3$ 첨가량 5당량, 폐촉매 평균 입자크기 $54{\mu}m$, 배소온도 $850^{\circ}C$, 배소시간 120분의 조건이 적절하였고, 소다배소 산물의 수침출 실험은 배소산물 입자크기 $-45{\mu}m$, 침출온도 $40^{\circ}C$, 침출시간 30분 및 광액밀도 10%의 조건이 적절하였다. 이와 같은 조건하에서 소다배소 및 수침출 실험을 수행한 결과, 바나듐 성분 약 46%와 텅스텐 성분 약 92%가 침출 되었다. 수침출 공정에서 얻어진 바나듐과 텅스텐이 함께 침출된 침출용액으로부터 바나듐 성분을 선택적으로 침전시키기 위하여 MgCl2를 사용하여 침전실험을 수행하였으나, 바나듐 성분이 침전될 때 텅스텐 성분이 함께 침전되어 큰 손실율을 나타내었다. 또한, 침출용액 내의 바나듐과 텅스텐 성분을 분리하기 위하여 용매추출 실험을 수행하였다. 아민계열의 추출제인 Alamine 336 및 Aliquat 336을 사용한 용매추출 실험에서 바나듐과 텅스텐 성분 모두 90% 이상 추출되었다. 이후 수행된 탈거실험에서 대부분의 역추출제에 의해 바나듐과 텅스텐은 동시에 탈거되었다. 그러나 Alamine 336을 추출제로 사용한 유기상의 탈거실험에서 NaCl 및 NH4Cl 용액을 탈거용액으로 사용하였을 경우에 바나듐과 텅스텐이 선택적으로 탈거될 수 있는 가능성을 나타내었다. 반면에 Aliquat 336을 추출제로 사용한 유기상의 탈거실험의 경우, NaOH 용액이 가장 선택적인 탈거용액임을 확인하였다.

The Horse Manure Fertilizers and Pollutants Characteristics Analysis Research (말 분뇨의 비료성분 및 오염물질 특성 조사 연구)

  • Horse manure general composition and contaminants, heavy metals content analysis was investigated as follows. The moisture content of horse feces was 76.1% and 96% for horse urine. The average T-N, T-P, T-K concentrations of the racing horse were 0.18%, 0.10%, 0.22% respectively and 2.88%, 0.0015%, 0.84% for urine. And the average BODs, COD, SS concentrations were 26,906 $mg/{\ell}$, 36,642 $mg/{\ell}$, 89,375 $mg/{\ell}$ respectively and 14,298 $mg/{\ell}$, 7,484 $mg/{\ell}$, 6,987 $mg/{\ell}$ for urine. In addition, the Cr, Cu, Ni, Cd, Pb, Zn concentrations of feces were 2.65 mg/kg, 7.05 mg/kg, 1.24 mg/kg, 0.07 mg/kg, 0.01 mg/kg, 45.11 mg/kg respectively and 1.52 mg/kg, 1.62 mg/kg, 0.00 mg/kg, 0.03 mg/kg, 0.03 mg/kg, 4.49 mg/kg for urine on the fresh matter basis. The end of the survey was that the quality of the compost can be used as a raw material, and manure is necessary to constantly driven forward horse manure composting research.

  • 본 연구에서는 대기 중 황성분을 채취하는데 가장 널리 활용되는 방법 중의 하나인 테들러 백 방식의 채취와 관련된 오차요인을 여러 가지 관점에서 검정하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 표준시료를 백과 백간에 이동시켜 주므로서, 백의 벽면을 통해 초래될 수 있는 성분별 손실율을 비교하였다. 상대습도 0 %, 실온 조건에서 실험한 결과, 황화수소와 멀캡턴과 같은 성분들은 백과의 접촉이 일어나면서, 20 %에 가까운 손실율이 확인되었다. 반면, 상대적으로 이들에 비해 반응성이 높지 않은 DMS, DMDS와 같은 성분들도 10 %내외의 손실율이 확인되었다. 이들 성분의 정확한 정량을 위해서는 테들러 백의 흡착손실 등에 대한 특성을 정확하게 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 특히, 습도나 온도와 같은 환경조건의 변화에 대한 고려도 동시에 수반되어야 할 것이란 점을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문은 숫자간 접촉이 포함된 무제약 오프라인 필기 숫자열 인식을 위한 분할 및 인식기법을 소개하고자 한다. 시스템은 숫자열에서 접촉된 성분을 추출하는 모듈, 접촉된 숫자를 분할하는 모듈과 최종적으로 분할된 결과를 조합하는 모듈로 이루어진다. 그리고, 위의 기법을 NIST 데이터에 적용하여 제안한 분할 및 인식기법의 효율성을 보여준다.

Flavor Compounds of Domestic Meju and Doenjang (재래식 메주 및 된장의 향기성분)

  • Volatile components of domestic Meju and Doenjang were extracted by simultaneous steam distillation extraction, and analyzed by GC-MS. Sixty-four kinds of compounds were identified from neutral fraction. The contents of pentanal, hexanal and 1-octen-3-ol were high in cooked soybean while those of 3-methylbutanal and 1-butanol were high in Meju. In the case of Doenjang, so many compounds including acetic acid, ethylester were identified which was not appeared in Meju. The main compounds in Meju were 3-methyl-1-butanol, 2-furancarboxyaldehyde, 1-octen-3-ol, benzeneacetaldehyde, methyloctadecadienoate and methyloctadecenoate. Of the eleven compounds identified from basic fraction, the contents of 2,6-dime-thylpyrazine, trimethylpyrazine and tetramethylpyrazine were high in Meju and Doenjang. Nine kinds of compounds were identified from phenolic fraction and appeared that 4-vinylphenol and p-ethylguaiacol were major compounds in Meju and Doenjang. Fifteen kinds of volatile compounds were contained in acidic fraction. Only four acidic compounds were identified in cooked soybean and Meju, but in Doenjang ten compounds were identified which did not appeared in other samples. Among them pentadecanoic acid was major compound.
