The Analysis of Statistics and Scientific Inquiries Types in Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute Q&A Service (한국천문연구원 질문상자의 통계 및 과학탐구 질문유형 분석)

  • The Q&A service of the official Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) webpage was installed in 2000 and have been actively used since then. In this paper, we analyze the questions asked through the Q&A service and the number of inquiries with the aid of statistical methods. We also study the contents of the questions. Specifically, we have created statistics of questions and inquiries that go monthly and yearly, and have developed categories to analyze the characteristics of questions in regards to their cognitive aspects. Each question is categorized into two elements based on their recognitive aspect: science knowledge or science study. Each element also has sub-categories that help readers understand the characteristics of the questions. For the analysis, we used a sample consisted of questions from July to December, 2004. Through this study, we achieved a better understanding of the questions asked by the Q&A service. We are planning to improve the quality of the Q&A service by extending the size of the FAQ(frequently asked questions). Throughout this study, we find that the number of questions are increasing with time, and the overall quality of the questions is improving. As we expect the number of people using our Q&A service to increase and the questions to get more difficult to answer, development of improved content is required.

  • In recent, the blood type waken the reader's interest in the field of movie, music, and education. Now, the blood type is far better than was anticipated in every aspects of life than a personal taste and appear as a familiar topic of story telling in modem life-style. Long time ago in Japan, the blood type was used to a casting of character and a consistent personality. In this study, the types of personality is combined with a blood type and devided with a frame of types. Also, personalities of character are observed and compared in a general animation which not applied a blood type. In particular, a personalities of family in animation are analized through a blood type and applied by character. Also, the blood types based on character of families get an appeal of audience. From now on, it will expect a variable analysis of animation, and needs for a continuous study not only blood type between families but relationship between blood types.

An Analysis of a Teacher's Transformation Knowledge in Elementary Mathematics Teaching (초등 수학 수업에서 발현되는 교사의 변환 지식 분석)

  • Teacher knowledge needed for teaching is bound to be revealed in teaching the subject matter in relation to the given instructional context. Given this, recent studies on mathematics teacher knowledge tend to analyze actual Mathematical Knowledge in Teaching [MKiT]. This study focused on the dimension of transformation and its related codes in Knowledge Quartet, which has been recognized as a MKiT framework, and analyzed a Korean teacher's transformation knowledge revealed in her elementary mathematics teaching. The analysis showed that the codes related to the dimension of transformation were useful in analyzing teacher knowledge in the Korean context. However, a few codes need to be revised or added for more suitability. On the basis of these results, this paper closes with implications for analyzing teacher knowledge in mathematics teaching.

Public Place Preference : Design Guidelines and a Case Study Based on Evolutionary Theory (광장설계지침과 진화이론을 이용한 광장선호분석 사례연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 1) 지금까지 이루어진 광장선호연구를 토대로 광장 설계시 이용될 수 있는 12가지 설계지침을 제시하며, 2) 광장선호를 진화 이론의 틀에서 분석한 사례연구를 소개하고 있다. 12가지 광장설계지침은 1970년부터 지금까지 이루어진 광장형태연구들로부터 제시되었으며, 광장 의 위치, 규모, 시각적 특질, 활동, 미기후, 경계설계, 부공간설계, 동선설계, 식재설계, 휴식공간설계, 음식, 조형물설계 등에 관련한 고려사항을 포함한 다. 광장선호를 진화이론에서 분석한 사례연구는 Appleton의 조망과 은신 이론(prospect and refuge theory)을 분석의 틀로 이용하며, 3개 광장에서 의 이용행태 관찰을 바탕으로 한다. 구체적으로 각 광장의 앉는 장소 (sitting area)가 가지고 있는 조망(prospect) 특성과 은신(refuge)특성을 분석하고 이러한 특성들이 사람들의 선택선호도(앉는 장소로서의)와 관련 성이 있는가를 살펴보고 있다. 연구결과를 보면 광장의 성격이 완전히 공 공적(public)일 경우만이 전반적인 선호행태가 조망(prospect)과 은신 (refuge) 특질과 관련되고 반공공적(semi-public)이나 사적(private)일 경우 에는 Appleton의 이론으로 선호행태 설명이 불가능함을 알 수 있다.

  • 본 연구는 다음의 두 가지 목적이 있다. 첫째, 각종 실증분석에 있어서의 다중모형의 효율성에 대한 소개와, 둘째, 다중모형의 분석에 있어서 상위단계의 예측되는 가치를 측정하기 위한 새로운 통계를 소개하는 데 있다. 다중모형의 이론적 틀은 광범위하게 사용되는 기존의 1단계 모형의 통계적 문제점(이분산 등)을 보완하고, 현실을 더욱 실체적으로 파악한다는 측면에서 앞으로 지역분석의 중추적 틀로서 자리매김하리라 예상되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 다중모형의 효율성을 가상 자료가 아닌 실제 자료를 이용하여 검증하였으며, 특히 기존에 제시되지 않은 다중로짓모형에서의 상위수준의 잔차 또는 예측치를 계산하는 통계량을 제시하였다. 이 새로운 통계량은 실증분석에 있어서의 관찰치와의 상관관계와 그 분산의 분석에 있어서 잘 행위하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The image that reflects the lapse of time can only take the form of segmentation originally. All of the fixation status in an image is shown to us as the form of division(segmentation) whether it is the form of two dimensional paintings or three dimensional sculptures, but not the form of video monitors. This kind of method was extremely developed in the cartoon field. Therefore, the cartoon evolves the subjects of events and finds the worth and meaning through the arrangement of cuts. Also, Animation inquires into the principles of attaching the media continuously. The media is represented in the segmentation according to the lapse of time and I tend to analyze the origination of cartoon formation. Consequently, I tired to find the examples of the prehistoric cuts and forms, the divisions of fragmented cartoon stripes, and the cuts and forms which are composed of narrative and descriptive styles of arrangement, and finally can certify and validate them. In summary, the sections and divisions of the variable kinds of cuts and frames for the expression of the time were corroborated. The potentials of the space usage and the diversity of the cartoon formation were also founded and illustrated to suggest the broader stands of cartoon.

  • This study aims to develop a framework of structural scenarios for chatbot docent that supports visitors' activities in science centers and museums, and to suggest the application examples. For this study, the author adapted Focus Group Interview. As a result, the frameworks of scenarios could be categorized into the Collection of Science and Technology(CST) and Inquiry-Based Exhibition(IBE). These frameworks had dimensions of the primary and storytelling in common. Especially, framework of IBE scenario was added the usage dimension considering the characteristics of interaction between exhibits and visitors. This study could be basic materials for AI chatbot to support exhibition descriptions using the built data, and is expected to be help develop a more visitor-oriented scenarios of activities.

A Study of Story-Shell Applied to Mathematical Communication (이야기 틀을 활용한 수학 수업에 나타난 의사소통 활동 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is analyzing phenomenon of mathematical communication by students applied story shell. Also, this study is obtained teaching indicated in early standardized mathematics classes. It is served we realize the purpose of study and set study subject to be as follows. First, it finds out how to be described activities of students' mathematical communication in the mathematics class applied story shell. Second, it finds out what phenomenon is observed in a behavior side of the mathematics class applied story shell. It is developed 7 story shells for the 6th grade of the elementary school for about 4 months and when applying mathematics classes, it is analyzed the notes and recorded data to get in an each class and when applying mathematics classes. The result of this study is as follows: First, in a mathematics class which applies story shell, students concentrate on the class when hearing and reading mathematics problem. So, they are able to understand a mathematical language included in the problem. Second, in a mathematics class which applies story shell, students participate actively at the mathematics class. And in complicate situation among the students it is served they justify own opinion and persuaded logically. The point which study hints to see such a result is as follows: First, in a mathematics class which applies story shell students have answered more quickly than the old times as hearing and reading the problem in a picture. Second, in a mathematics class which applies story shell, students were used to being the mathematics language intimately and there was to observe to express it by an equation. Third, in a mathematics class which applies story shell students attend to study activity with interest. Forth, in situation of complicate thought, students are persuading and explaining their opinions for the purpose of justification.

An Alternative Research Framework of the Information Society and ICT Policy for Development (정보사회와 정보화정책의 분석틀에 관한 연구: 정보통신기술이 사회발전에 미치는 영향을 중심으로)

  • This paper attempts to present critical issues of the information society and an alternative research addressing the challenges of ensuring that ICT is applied in ways that are enabling and responsive to social contexts in which people live their lives. Drawing the question of why insights arising from the mainstream vision are rarely useful in policies, the study highlights some developmental paradigms linked to ICT. It explores how ICT is seen as a means to development, and elaborates on the limitations of how current issues are related to the quality of life. The results indicate that ICT reduces quality of life while economic growth entails the opposite. The research framework here involves some meaningful components of cultural residues: independence, risk-taking, government responsibility by mapping how the level of ICT is distributed in the topology of values around the world. Moving to the next phase, ICT policy design and implementation need to be set up practically in a broad perspective that can be pursued by those concerned with social and technological innovation.
