A Meta-regression Analysis of Wetland Valuation Studies in Korea (우리나라 습지의 환경적 가치 : 메타회귀분석)

  • Wetland provides various environmental services as well as marketable goods to human society. This paper presents a meta-analysis of the wetland valuation studies conducted in Korea during the past decade. Meta-analysis is a technique of summarizing research results from the separate but related studies using statistical methods. The objectives of the paper is to identify the main factors affecting the wetland values and to examine the applicability of meta-regression analysis for summarizing the information from valuation studies of natural ecosystem. The total of 64 observations from 24 studies are assembled, and we observe significant differences in wetland values depending on the characteristics of the studies. With the statistical significance, our results indicate that the method employed affects the wetland values while the wetland function evaluated affects little. In addition, we found that the size of wetland is negatively associated with the values, implying that wetland values exhibit the decreasing returns to scale. The evidences from our empirical analysis suggest that the meta-analysis has a potential as a tool to synthesize the research results from valuation studies and to provide useful information to policy makers. However, this study acknowledges that more effort should be dedicated toward the construction of DB on valuation studies as well as the research on the model improvement to enhance the validity and reliability of meta-analysis.

The Effect of the Selection Attributes of Coffee Shops on Customer Value and Revisit Intention - Focusing on College students in Busan - (커피전문점 선택속성이 고객가치와 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 부산 지역 대학생들을 중심으로-)

  • This research investigates the causal relationships between the selection attributes of coffee shops and customer value and revisit intention. To do this, the statistics programs SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used targeting 218 college students from three universities (K, D, Y) in the Busan area. Frequency analysis, explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structure model analysis for hypothesis verification were conducted to analyze the data. Based on the results of exploratory factor analysis, five factors were drawn as quality of coffee, indoor environment, service, discount, and brand. Model fidelity and validity was confirmed by implementing the confirmatory factor analysis. In addition, results of structure model analysis confirmed partial relationships among the selection attributes of the college students regarding coffee shops, customer value, and revisit intention. Furthermore, a positive relationship between customer value and revisit intention was also confirmed. Thus, this research suggests that coffee shop managers should manage in a way that customers may acknowledge the value of the expenses they pay.

A Study on the Development of a Scale for Family Value of East Asia (동아시아의 가족가치 비교 척도 개발에 대한 연구)

  • This study aims to develop a scale to capture various components of the family value and apply for comparative study of the family value of East Asian countries. Through literature review and experts consults, 27 preliminary questions of the East Asian family value were developed. A total of 3,000 people of East Asia countries(Korea, China, Japan) aged 20~59 were responded to the questionnaire. For validating the family scale developed, an explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted. The results were as follows. Two of the 27 questions were deleted because those questions were found to have high correlation with other questions. Through the exploratory factor analysis 5 factors composed of 15 items -post-modern family value, traditional family value, confucian family value, instrumental family value and gender equality family value-were extracted and confirmed the factors with confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis. The results revealed that the family value scale was appropriate for measuring various family values in East Asian countries and would contribute to the development of Asian family theory. However, this scale can not cover all the family values and further studies would be needed to confirm the validity of the family value scale.

Understanding Customer Values by Analyzing the Contents of Online Hotel Reviews (온라인 호텔이용후기의 질적 내용분석에 의한 고객가치 연구)

  • This study analyzed the contents of online hotel reviews of Benikea hotels. The results were as follows: First, the outstanding customer value were functional value, emotional value, price/value for money and epistemic value, conditional value are next. Social value was not found. Functional value was provoked by the functions of hotel room, room amenities, room view, room cleaness, restaurant service, and hotel staff friendliness as human services. Emotional value was the emotional response to the qualities of hotel's functions. Price/value for money was a perceived value of hotel user by the comparison of what to invest with what to receive. From the results, it can be proposed that hotel should maintain the basic qualities of core functions of hotel.

  • In so many real estate development projects, there were strong needs to have a powerful tool to check feasibility of those projects. But there were not enough tool and measure to cover risk of real estate development and construction. Therefore I tried to find a real tool to measure investment value of development properly and efficiently, by means of case studies of many real estate development projects. Finally I found a fact that no tools of investment value analysis are perfect and efficient to hedge all kinds of risks in projects. Especially NPV(Net Present Value) and IRR(Internal Rate of Return) were not sufficient by themselves to measure investment value. So I found out that MIRR(Modified IRR), XIRR(X-IRR), ARR(Average Rate of Return), PP(Payback Period) and so on, would be supplementaries of proper and efficient investment value analysis.

예측치 이익을 이용한 EVA 기업가치모형에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 그간 실무계와 학계에서 주목을 받고 있는 EVA 모형과 기업가치모형간의 상호 관계를 보여주고 실증적으로 예측치 경상이익과 순이익을 이용하여 EVA와 기업가치를 측정하고 이러한 예측가치와 실제가치와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 1990년부터 5년간 모두 535 기업을 대상으로 분석한 결과 강효석과 남명수 (1998)의 연구와 같이 모든 연도에 부의 EVA를 보여 주고 있으며 1년 예측치보다 2년 예측치를 기초로 산정한 기업가치가 실제가치에 근접하였다. 각 연도 별로 보면 예상경상이익을 사용한 경우 70%부터 94%까지의 높은 설명력을 보여주며, 5년 누계는 83%의 설명력을 나타냈다. 경상이익 대신 순이익을 사용한 경우도 유사한 결과를 보여주고 있다. 끝으로 가치평가오차를 원천별로 그리고 유형별로 분석하였는데 기업가치 예측오차 중 경제전반이 설명하는 부분은 10%정도, 산업은 $13{\sim}15%$, 그리고 개별기업이 $75{\sim}77%$를 차지하고 있어 개별기업의 중요도가 미국에 비하여 낮은 수준을 보여주고 있다. 유형별로도 편의비율이나 회귀비율이 $5{\sim}8%$수준인데 비하여 무작위 비율이 86%수준을 보여 주고있다.

  • 본고는 주요 댐호수의 휴양가치를 댐호수의 특성별로 도출하고자 실제로 댐호수를 선택한 행위를 분석하고, 아울러 선택실험을 통해 가상적으로 설정된 특성을 가진 댐을 방문할지를 선택하도록 하여 그 결과를 분석하기도 하였다. 또한 현시선호된 선택과 진술선호선택을 모두 결합하여 분석하는 기법도 사용하였다. 분석결과 진술선호자료와 현시선호자료간의 이질성이 상당한 것으로 나타났으나 두 자료를 결합함으로써 모든 특성변수들이 만족도에 미치는 영향이 직관과 부합되도록 도출되었다. 댐호수의 수량과 수질 모두가 레크리에이션 가치에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 특히 수질개선의 편익 증가효과가 매우 크다는 것이 확인되었다. 그 외에도 홍보관, 주변 숙박시설 및 음식점, 인근 휴양지와의 연계성 등도 휴양가치 증가에 영향을 미치는 주요 변수로 파악되었다.

  • In this study, I have tried to analyze an influence of R&D investment on ROV(Real Option Value), corporate value and market value by analyzing R&D investment, ROV, corporate value and market value of machine and material industry in the perspective of ex post. As a result of this study, corporate value, which has been deduced by real option according to R&D investment, reflects market value well and possesses a strong correlation with R&D investment, ROV, corporate value and market value. This implication demonstrates this study result is corresponding with existing theories.

  • 본 연구는 전자정보원의 도입으로 도서관 장서의 구성이 다양화되고, 도서관 장서에 대한 이용자 중심의 가치평가에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있는 도서관 환경을 배경으로 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 도서관의 장서의 가치와 경제성 평가 사례를 분석하여 이를 토대로 도서관 장서에 대한 이용자 중심의 가치 평가 모형의 기초자료를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내외의 문헌 연구를 통해 도서관 장서의 평가가 어떠한 방향으로 변화하고 있는지 동향 파악과 국내외에서 이루어진 도서관 장서의 가치연구사례를 분석하였다.
