The purpose of this study is to discuss the theoretical and practical strategies for the quality management of a union database built in a distributed system. To the end, this study introduces the quality control methods employed for the OCLC union catalog, which has been built in a distributed system and also known as the most typical union DB. The main discussion is about the quality issue of KORDIC's SATURN DB, the most typical union DB in South Korea. The final recommendation includes the management strategies and practical guidelines for the efficient quality control of a union DB built in a distributed system.

최근 국내 디지털 병원들이 점차 기업화 되면서 각 지역별 분산 및 독립 운영되는 의료통계 정보 활용의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 또한 각종 연구목적 및 의료 서비스 경쟁력 향상 등을 위해 신속 정확한 의사결정지원 시스템인 데이터 웨어하우스(DW; Data Warehouse) 구축의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 단일 병원 내의 데이터 웨어하우스가 아닌, 전국적으로 분산 운영되고 있는 병원의 다양한 의료정보를 통합하고자 한다. 따라서 Staging 영역을 활용한 분산된 의료정보시스템 통합 방안을 제시한다.

The National Science and Technology Information Center (NDSL) database, which provides academic papers at home and abroad, collects, builds, and manages data collected from various sources. In this study, we analyzed the DB paper schema and DB metadata that are currently constructed and managed to derive an integrated DB schema that can manage the high-value-added papers and manage them efficiently by analyzing distributed DB papers. Also, the final academic information data items were determined through comparison and analysis using the Web of Science and SCOPUS schemas that are currently purchased and possessed. The academic information data items constructed and serviced through this study were summarized into seven papers, authors, abstracts, institutions, themes, journals, and references, and defined as core contents under construction. The integrated DB schema was created through this study, and the results of this study will be used as a basis for constructing the integrated DB collection of high quality academic papers and designing the integrated system.

The integrated data is an essential in the analysis for the balanced development of the local governments, but economic, social and cultural data in local governments is not being made with integrated management. A variety of information is being published according to the Government 3.0 era, but the researchers has great difficulty in integrating the analysis for one topic because related information is scattered in various sites. This paper proposes an integrated database(DB) of local governments to support the research activities. It has to contains total information of economic, social and cultural activities of local governments, and accommodate the distributed and heterogeneous data. It has the schema designed to integrate the entire data for considering the differences between local governments or data components. We should focus to build a framework for the multifaceted research to enable the cross analysis over common elements.

National Knowledge and Information Resources of KADO(Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity and Promotion) were distributed to the several data centers. The metadata for the resources was the conceptual level recommended standard. It was not for the integration, but the retrieval. So it is not easy to integrate to the central metadata DB or connect metadata among the data centers. In this paper, we analysed the metadata of the several data centers and provided the integrated standard model for the central metadata DB.

본 논문에서는 PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)를 이용한 차세대 위치기반서비스를 위한 분산 DB 제어기(DB Scheduler)와 XML interpreter 및 UI Manager를 개발하고 구현하였다. 분산 DB 제어기에서는 지리적으로 뜯어져있는 많은 분산 DB의 데이터에 대해 실시간으로 지능적 수집 및 변경 등이 가능하도록 하는 DB 제어기술을 개발하였으며, XML Interpreter 및 UI Manager에서는 하나의 단말기로 다양한 환경 및 서비스 수용이 가능하도록 하는 클라이언트용 기능 개발을 하였으며 단말기를 서비스 및 목적에 맞게 customize 할 수 있도록 단말기 기종별 개발 언어 등 세부 규격을 분석하고 가능한 국제 표준을 따라 설계서를 작성하였다.

According to a long-term master plan for the implementing of MOMAF's marine environmental informatization, we have developed marine environment portal web site which consists of 7 main-menu and 39 sub-menu including various types of contents (text, image and multimedia) based on RDBMS. This portal site was opened in Oct., 2002 (http://www.meps.info). Also, for the national institutions' distributed DB which is archived and managed respectively the marine chemical data and biological data, the integrated retrieval system was developed. This system is meaningful for the making collaborative use of real data and could be applied for data mining, marine research, marine environmental GIS and making-decisions.

증기발생기(SG : Steam Generator)는 다수의 세관으로 구성되어 원자로에서 발생한 열을 이용하여 발전기 터빈을 구동시키는 원동력인 증기를 생성해 주는 기능을 하는 원자력발전소의 핵심 설비이다. 증기발생기 세관의 건전성을 확보하기 위해 매주기 계획예방정비, 즉 가동중 검사마다 정기적인 와전류 검사를 수행하고, 검사결과에 따라 전열관 보수 등과 같은 제반 조치를 취하고 있다. 현재 검사데이터 DB 구축은 일부 발전소에 개발되어 운영 중에 있고, 세관 DB와는 별도로 통계정보만을 관리하는 증기발생기 성능관리시스템이 운영되고 있으며, 또한 각 발전소마다 수질을 계측하여 수화학 성분을 감시하는 수질관리시스템이 운용되고 있다. 이러한 이원화된 DB 및 시스템을 통합하고 연계하여 전 원전의 증기발생기를 종합적으로 관리 할 수 있는 시스템의 필요성이 대두되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현장에 보관되어 있는 모든 세관 검사데이터를 취득하여 대용량 데이터베이스를 설계 및 구축하고 이기종의 분산된 수질관리시스템 DB를 연계하여, 증기발생기의 설계/제작부터 검사결과 Mapping, 추이 분석을 통한 수명 평가에 이르는 전 과정을 통합 관리할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 그 구현방안을 제시한다.

2009년 미국에서 처음으로 스마트워터그리드의 개념이 도입된 이후로 국내외 국가 기관뿐만 아니라 민간 기업에서도 스마트워터그리드에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 현재 스마트워터그리드는 IBM의 진출을 시작으로 Veolia, Suez 등 다국적 물관리 기업들이 사업을 추진 중이다. 국내의 ICT기술과 수자원시스템의 융합을 통하여 용수 수요 공급량을 실시간으로 파악하고 관리하여 수자원의 지역적 시간적 격차를 해소하는 스마트워터그리드 연구가 국내에서도 진행 중이다. 물관리 시장 주도권을 확보하기 위해 글로벌 물기업간 경쟁이 심화되고 있으며, 개별플랫폼을 구축 활용하여 신규기업의 물산업 진출을 가로막고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 상황에서 국외 물산업 시장 진출을 위하여 통합플랫폼 개발 및 체계적인 데이터 구조 설계가 필요하며, 본 연구는 스마트워터그리드를 운영하기 위해 여러 곳에 분산되어 관리 운영되어지고 있는 수자원 및 물관리 데이터의 통합을 위한 체계적인 데이터베이스 구조설계에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 스마트워터그리드 도메인 내에 주력하고 있는 통합데이터베이스 구조를 외부 데이터 마이닝과 연계하여 확장하는 구조로 현실적이고 단기적인 데이터 통합효과를 위해 ETL/데이터웨어하우스방식을 적용하여 데이터 통합을 추진하였다. 지자체간 분산되어 있는 데이터베이스간의 연동은 관련 법제도 및 지자체간 협의 등 다양한 문제가 연루되어 있어 단기적으로는 B2B 데이터 연동방식을 응용하여 구성하였다. 광역 중앙 제어를 위한 통합데이터베이스는 가상DB 방식을 고려하였으며, 이는 지자체별로 구성된 통합DB에 대한 인터페이스 및 Wrapper 플랫폼을 적용하였다. 이 플랫폼간의 연동은 WaterML2.0을 적용함으로써 단기간내 구현이 가능하도록 하고 상호운용성에 문제를 해결하며, 실시간 데이터 연계를 추구하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 궁극적으로는 수자원 및 물관리 데이터의 통합을 위해 해당플랫폼에서 스키마 맵핑, 프로토콜 변환 정합 등을 실시하며, 실시간 데이터 마이닝 및 통합이 가능하도록 구성함으로써 향후 스마트워터그리드의 빅데이터 플랫폼 개발까지 확장해나갈 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

현재, 다수의 조직에서 개별적으로 메타데이터 표준을 제시하고 구축하고 있다. 이로 인해 메타데이터 상호간 호환성의 문제가 발생하게 되고 각기 분산되어 구축된 메타데이터 이용 또한 원활하지 않게 되고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본고에서는 메타데이터 레지스트리를 적용하여 국내 문헌정보 DB의 메타데이터 표준 유지와 통합 검색을 통한 연계 활용 모형을 구축하고자 한다.
