가변추력을 위한 기체주입식 와류형 분사기의 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of Effervescent Swirl Injectors for Variable Thrust)

  • 액체로켓엔진에서의 추력조절을 위해 기체주입식 가변추력 방법에 대한 기초적인 연구를 수행하였다. 기체주입식 가변추력은 간단한 구조로 추력을 조절할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 밀도 감소에 비례하여 증가된 분사차압에 의해 미립화 성능 증가라는 장점을 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 기체주입식 와류형 분사기를 이용하여 액체 질량유량과 기체주입량의 변화에 따른 분무 불안정, 분무형상, 분무각, 분열 길이와 같은 분무특성을 살펴보았다.

Diesel-DME 혼합연료의 분무 및 엔진 연소특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Spray and Engine Combustion of Diesel-DME Blended Fuel)

  • The purpose of this study was compared the spray, combustion and emissions (NOx, CO, HC, smoke) characteristics of a typical fuel (100% Diesel, DME) and Diesel-DME blended fuel in a Constant Volume Chamber (CVC) and a single-cylinder DI diesel engine. Spray characteristics were investigated under various ambient and fuel injection pressures when the Diesel-DME blended ratio is varied. The parameters of spray sturdy were spray shape, penetration length, and spray angle. Common types of injectors having seven holes and made by Bosch were used. As of use, the typical fuel (100% Diesel, DME) and the blended fuel by mixture ratio 95:5, 90:10 (Diesel:DME) were used. The Injection pressure was fixed by 70.1MPa, when the ambient Pressure was varied 0.1, 2.6 and 5.1 MPa. The combustion experiments was conducted with single cylinder engine equipped with common rail injection system. injection pressure is 70 MPa. The amount of injected fuels is adjusted to obtain the fixed input calorie value as 972.2 J/cycle in order to compare with the fuel conditions.

주류유동에서 단일 및 이중 수직분사 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of Single and Double Liquid Jets in Crossflow)

  • 연소실 내의 주류 공기유동에 미치는 영향을 최소화하면서 미립화 및 혼합특성을 향상시키기 위한 방법으로 주류공기 유동에 대해 수직방향의 연료분사 방식이 실용 엔진에서 많이 사용되고 있고, 관련 연구도 활발히 보고되고 있다. 본 연구는 가스터빈이나 램젯 엔진에서 사용되고 있는 수직분사의 분무특성은 실험적으로 조사하고, 단일 및 이중 수직분사에 따른 침투길이를 측정함으로써 선행연구에 의해 보고된 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 압력과 모멘텀 플럭스비 변화에 따른 침투길이, 분무입경 등의 분무 특성을 연구하였다. 특히, 이중 수직분사의 침투길이는 단일 수직분사의 침투길이에 비해 전단의 수직분사의 영향으로 후단의 수직분사 길이가 약 20% ($L_h$=4mm) 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been used as motor fuel due to its low emissions and low cost. The fuel feeding system has been improved with stringent requirement for exhaust emissions. LPG carburetion system was first introduced, then the system has been changed to a precisely controlled gas injection system, but this gas feeding system has a limitation on improving power output. In order to improve an engine performance, a multi-point port injection system was introduced recently, and a liquid direct injection system into a cylinder was suggested as a next generation system to maximize a fuel economy as well as a power. This study addresses the analysis of the LPG spray from diesel injectors. The spray images are visualized and compared with diesel sprays in a wide injection pressure range. The photographs show much wider dispersion of LPG sprays.

바이오 디젤 혼합율이 압력식 스월노즐의 분무 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Bio-diesel Blending Rate on the Spray Characteristics of the Pressure Swirl Nozzle)

  • This paper presents the spray characteristics of the gun type burner nozzle with bio-diesel blending rate. The burner nozzle used in this experiment is a pressure swirl type nozzle. For the spray characteristics, visualization of spray was conducted to obtain the spray angle, and laser diffraction spectroscope (LDS) was used for the measurement of the droplet diameters. The results showed that the $D_{max}$, SMD and spray angle were decreased with increasing the bio-diesel blending rate and BD30 (30% bio-diesel blending rate) could be found to be the maximum blending rate for using without any modification of the gun type burner of the homesize kerosene fuel boiler.

  • The object of this investigation is to study the thermal properties and spray characteristics of kerosene fuel in high temperature and pressure conditions. In order to investigate the thermal properties and spray characteristics, KIVA3 and SUPERTRAPP have been used at the same time. The thermal properties of kerosene has been calculated in high temperature and pressure condition using SUPERTRAPP. The study of spray characteristics has been conducted at both original properties of KIVA3 and calculated properties. The evaporation rate was increased in proportion to pressure when the calculated properties were used. However, the effect of pressure was not shown in the case of using original properties. So the calculated properties are more effective than original properties in high temperature and high pressure condition.

  • Numerical investigation has been performed to simulate the spray characteristics in mist-spray fire suppression nozzles in sense of design parameters. Two key shape factors in nozzle orifices. i.e. diameter and length are chosen as simulation parameters. Commercial softwares, FLUENT and FDS with the proper modelings were applied as numerical tools. Main performances of nozzles, i.e., K-factors, spray angles, droplet size, jet velocities and fire suppression time are analyzed for each parameter to find optimal design conditions.

  • Spray characteristics of a fuel injector have an important effect upon engine power and emission. Thus this study was investigated the spray characteristics of the intermittent injection using a gasoline fuel injector. Image processing system and PDA system were utilized for visualization of a spray behavior and measurements of a droplet size and velocity, respectively. Fuel injection duration was fixed with 3ms and injection pressure was varied such as 250kPa, 300kPa, 350kPa. for a high fuel injection pressure, spray tip arrival time was fluctuated at a vigorously disintegrated cross section. Axial velocity was linear correlated with fuel droplet size in the time interval of an injected main spray at spray downstream.

클린 디젤엔진 적용을 위한 솔레노이드 및 피에조 인젝터의 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of Solenoid-driven and Piezo-driven Type Injectors for the Clean Diesel Engine Application)

  • This paper presents spray characteristics of piezo-driven type common-rail injector and comparisons to those of solenoid-driven type. Experiments were conducted to measure spray penetraion and SMD distributions using a spray visualization system and PDPA (phase Doppler particle analyzer) system. Injection conditions including injection pressure and energizing durations were varied in order to analyzing effects of injection conditions on spray characteristics. Furthermore, ambient pressures were increased for keeping ambient gas density close to in-cylinder pressure of diesel engine. Results showed that injection delay of piezo-driven type injector was much shorter than those of solenoid driven type and exhibited enhanced atomization performances.

  • 기존의 2상유체 동축형 전단분사기에서 나타나는 분무 중심부에서의 혼합비 불균일 및 낮은 미립화 성능을 보완하기 위하여 다공성재를 적용한 새로운 형태의 동축형 다공성재 분사기를 착안하였다. 본 연구에서는 동일 질량유량조건에서 기체분사면적을 변화시켜 표면분사기체의 반경방향 운동량의 크기를 조절하였으며, 이에 따른 물-공기 모사추진제 수류시험에서의 분무특성에 대한 고찰을 수행하였다.
