  • 고속회전의 원심력으로 연료를 공급하고 액체연료의 미립화를 초래하는 회전연료분무장치에 대한 분무특성 시험연구를 수행하였다. 특정한 공간상에 존재하는 액적의 특성을 이해하고자 고속회전 연료분사시스템을 설계 제작하였다. 시험장치는 고속으로 회전하는 Spindle, 회전연료노즐, 가압식 물탱크, 아크릴 케이스로 구성하였다. 액적의 크기와 속도를 측정하기 위해 PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer)시스템을 사용하였고, ND-Yag Laser를 사용하여 분무를 가시화 하였다. 시험결과 고속회전 연료분사시스템의 분무특성을 확인할 수 있었고, 회전속도는 액적 크기, 속도, 분무각 및 분무패턴 등의 분무특성에 주요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다.

A Study on the Effect of Atomization of Pressure Nozzle with Blower - Air (압력식 노즐에서 송풍공기가 미립화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study was undertaken to investigation the spray characteristics of the twin fluid atomization nozzle system. The light oil was injected at the normal temperature and injection pressure was 5 bar - 10 bar by 1 bar and volume flow was 0.5, 1.0 and 2,0 mmH2O(X10-2). We measured the SMD of sprayed droplet to study spray characteristics. The following conclusions were reached from the results of these study. 1. The more injection pressure increased, the more SMD decreased. 2. The more measuring distance between pressure nozzle tip and analyser beam increased, the more SMD increased. 3. SMD of the blower-air-added injection system were shown, increasing volume flow decreased respectively. The result of this study indicated the blower-air-added injection system induced beneficial changes in SMD. And it will be considered important indicator for spray characteristics design and performance evaluation of twin fluid atomization nozzle system.

  • Fuel spray nozzle has a critical effect on combustion characteristics. Mass flow rate and SMD(sauter mean diameter) were selected as design variables by using the experiment data of various types of duplex fuel nozzles for the swirl atomizers. The sensitivity of each design variable on the mass flow rate and SMD was analyzed and the uniformity of mass flow rate was investigated through the shape optimization of duel-orifice-type swirl atomizers. The design variables that have a little effect on the optimum design were excluded using the DOE(design of experiments) method, which enabled the optimization of sensitive design variables on mass flow rate and limit tolerance. The SMD of the research spray nozzle that was used in this study was found to be most similar to that of the calculation results using the Jasuja's SMD relationship. This study showed the specific characteristics of duel orifice type swirl atomizers and the optimization of these kinds of nozzle. This study provided the optimization design of mass flow rate and its allowable tolerance.

  • An experimental study was conducted to understand spray characteristics of rotating fuel nozzle by using high speed rotational system. The experimental apparatus consist of a fuel injection system, high speed rotational system, and acrylic case. The test is performed with several diameters and number of injection orifices. Spray characteristics such as droplet size and velocity are measured by PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer). From the test results, we could understand the spray characteristics of rotating fuel nozzle with orifice number and diameter.

  • An experimental study was performed to understand spray characteristics of the V type rotating fuel nozzle with orifice diameters by using high speed rotational system. The experimental apparatus consist of a high speed rotational system, fuel injection system and acrylic case. The droplet size and velocity were measured by PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) and spray was visualized by using Nd-Yag laser-based flash photography. From the test results, droplet size is reduced with increasing orifice diameter up to the critical value. When increasing orifice diameter over than this critical value, droplet size is not decreased with increasing the orifice diameter. This is due to the irregular distribution of the liquid sheet around the inner surface of injection orifice.

  • The paper describes an experimental investigation of axisymmetric diesel spray and flame which is held in rapid compression machine (RCM) with electromagnetic single injection nozzle. The axisymmetric diesel spray and flame are taken with high speed photograph and analysis it with image processor. The data presented include fuel concentration of spray, flame temperature, soot concentration of flame in axial and radial direction at a moment and compared it with each other.

  • 분무건조장치는 Solution, Slurry, Emulsion, Colloidal Suspension 등의 액상원료를 미립화하여 표면적을 증가시켜 수열면적을 크게 하여 열풍과 직접 접촉함으로써 순간적으로 건조를 행하여 액상원료로부터 바로 분립상의 제품을 얻는 건조법이다. 분유를 비롯하여 Instant 식품류, 합성세제, 염료, 안료, Ceramic, 공해 폐액의 처리에 이르기까지 폭넓게 이용되고 있다. 분무건조기는 통기, 회전, 기류 건조기 등 다른 건조기에 비하여 고도의 설계 및 제작 기술을 요하며, 설계에 있어서 일부 이론적인 취급이 행해지고 있는 것은 사실이나 아직은 경험에 의존하고 있는 현실이다. 국내에서 제작되고 있는 분무건조기의 열효율은 25-33%로 선진국의 35-48%에 비해 매우 낮다. 국내에서 사용되고 있는 분무건조기의 92%는 덴마크, 일본 등에서 수입된 것이다.(중략)

  • 계단형태의 고온발생장치로서, 고온의 흐름을 형성하고 난류유동이 없이 일정한 혼합기류를 만들 수 있는 2단격막구조 충격파관 장치를 이용하여, 혼합을 동반하지 않는 분무의 착화과정에 관한 실험을 수행하였다. 본 실험에서는 충격파관 속에 하향으로 설치된 초음파 분무기에 의해 자유낙하 상태에 있는 예혼합 분무주를 만들어서 반사충격파에 의해 순간적으로 단열압축시켜서 착화 현상을 관찰하였다. 고온영역과 저온영역에서 얻어진 활성화에너지는 큰 차이가 나며 본 연구에서 얻은 착화지연의 실험결과는 통상의 분무착화 실험인 전기로법, 급속압축기법, 고온기류속에 연료를 분사하는 방법과 다른 현상을 보였다. 그 대표적인 결과에 대한 예로는 착화지연에 대한 압력 의존성과 연료분사율의 영향이 일반적인 분무의 결과에 비해 적게 나타났다.
