Study on the Fabrication of Aluminum Vacuum Chamber of Chemical Vapor Depositor for Flat Display with Welding Method (용접방식을 적용한 평면디스플레이용 화학기상증착기의 알루미늄 진공챔버 제조에 관한 연구)

  • LCD 디스플레이 크기는 점차 대형화를 이루면서, 현재 LCD 디스플레이 크기는 3,000*3,320mm 크기까지 증가하여 개발이 활발이 이루어지고 있다. 디스플레이의 크기가 증가함에 따라 제조 장비의 크기도 증가되어야 하므로, LCD 디스플레이 CVD 공정에 사용되는 4,200*3,300mm 크기의 대형 Aluminium Vacuum Chamber 에 피막두께 $15{\mu}m$ 이상을 구현함과 동시에 두께 균일도가 우수하며 염수분무시험으로 168시간 이상의 내식성 확보가 가능한 양극산화조건 개발을 위하여 양극산화 피막의 각종 특성 평가를 실시하였다. 양극산화 피막 두께 측정은 와전류(Eddy Current)의 원리를 이용한 비파괴식 두께 측정법(ISO 2360, ASTM D 7091)을 적용하였으며, 염수분무시험 방법은 (KS D 9502)을 적용하였으며, HCl bubble stream 시험 방법은 HCl 5% 농도를 투명 아크릴 튜브에 채운후 bubble stream 을 종점으로 하여 평가를 실시하였으며, 열충격을 이용한 도금밀착성(KS D 0254), 도장접착력(ASTM D 3359) 등을 이용하여 전해조건 및 전해액 농도에 따른 피막 특성 비교평가를 실시하여 최적의 대형 Aluminium Vacuum Chamber 양극산화 전해 조건을 개발하여 4,200*3,300mm 크기의 대형 Aluminium Vacuum Chamber 제조를 목적으로 하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 회전체 표면상에 형성되는 액막의 두께를 측정하는 회전체 표 면상에 형성되는 액막의 두께를 측정하는 기술을 개발하고, 회전수와 유량변화에 따른 회전원판상의 액막거동 및 액막두께의 변동과 분열구조와의 관계를 규명함을 그 목적 으로 한다.

  • This study investigated the effects of pressure on the growth of an impinging spray. We obtained the frozen images which were scattered by Nd ; YAG laser light (pulse width : 7 ns) using synchronization circuit made in the laboratory. For an impinging spray a growth of the penetration length was progressed with increase of the injection pressure but an ambient pressure restrained its growth. The effect of an ambient pressure on penetration was larger than that of an injection pressure. The pressure ratio had an effect on the penetration growth rate. The thickness growth rate depended on both the injection pressure and the ambient pressure compositively. A lower injection pressure or a higher ambient pressure was required for spatial distribution of impinging spray.

  • The spray characteristics of the high speed rotating fuel injection system were studied. The five variants of rotating fuel nozzle were used by spray test. The diameter of single column injection orifices are varied from 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm and 5 mm. We constructed high speed rotating test rig and measured droplet size by PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) system. Also spray was visualized by using high speed camera. In the test results, we could understand that length of liquid column from the injection orifice is mainly controlled by the rotational speeds. SMD is decreased with increasing injection orifice diameter and rotational speeds. Furthermore, from the comparison to the theoritical calculation, we confirmed that SMD is influenced by the liquid film thickness which is formed inner surface of injection orifice.

  • In this study, the effect of jet velocity profile on the thickness and velocity of the liquid sheet formed by two impinging low speed jets was investigated. To predict the distribution of thickness and velocity of liquid sheet theoretically, the jet velocity profile which was measured experimentally was adopted in addition to the constant jet velocity as well as Poiseuille's parabolic profile. For three cases, the distribution of thickness and velocity of liquid sheet was analytically predicted by solving conservation equations including stagnation point. The predicted results were compared with previous experimental results. The jet velocity profile definitely affected the resulting characteristics of liquid sheet. The distribution of thickness and velocity of liquid sheet was more close to the measured results compared with that which was predicted by the assumption of constant jet velocity.

  • A specially designed injector using electric conductivity was used to measure the liquid film thickness accurately. The measurement conducted through the precise calibration, accuracy is demonstrated in comparison with the previous theory and the results using other measurement method. The tendency of liquid film thickness for geometric parameters was examined by the precise measurement. The variation of air core and stability are examined through the visualization of the formation of air core in swirl chamber and the variation of liquid film thickness by the time.

  • This study aim to investigate the internal flow characteristics by recess length of swirl coaxial injector for gas generator has propellant of Kerosene-LOx. Recess length is a very important element, have influence in spray stability and LOx post damage. The influence of recess length was analyzed by visualizing internal flow and measuring liquid film thickness and manifold pressures. Also, each spray characteristic by recess length was investigated in internal or external injector.

  • In this study, the thickness of the liquid sheet formed by two low speed impinging jets was measured by the direct contact method. The effects of jet velocity and liquid viscosity on the thickness were analyzed and the results were compared with theoretical modeling and optical thickness measurement results. The liquid film thickness decreased as the radius and circumferential angle increased. The jet velocity did not affect the liquid film thickness as predicted in theoretical modeling. In the theoretical modeling, there was no influence of the fluid properties on thickness, but in the case of low viscosity liquids, the thickness was predicted high, and it was well matched in high viscosity liquids. The direct measurement results showed no significant difference from the optical measurement results, thus confirming the reliability of the optical measurement method.

  • In this study, the thickness of the liquid sheet formed by a low speed impinging jet onto a wall was measured by the direct contact method. The spatial distribution characteristics of the sheet thickness in the radial and circumferential directions, and the effects of jet velocity and liquid viscosity were analyzed. The measurement results were compared with the theoretical predictions for two impinging jets. The wavy surface was observed for low viscosity water, but not for high viscosity glycerol solutions. The sheet thickness decreased as the circumferential angle or the distance from the impinging point increased. The sheet thickness increased as the liquid viscosity increased. Comparison with the theoretical predictions showed some differences from the measurement results.

E-Beam 증착에 의해 제작된 다층형 Al-Mg 코팅층의 특성 관찰

  • 본 연구에서는 e-beam 증착을 이용하여 Al, Mg 단일 금속으로 다층형 Al-Mg 코팅층을 제조하여 특성 분석 및 내식성을 평가하였다. Al-Mg 코팅층은 99.99%의 Al, 99.9%의 Mg grain을 사용하여 E-Beam 가열을 통해 냉연강판 위에 코팅하였다. 증발물질과 기판과의 거리는 48 cm이며, 기판은 세척을 실시한 후 진공 챔버에 장착하고 ~10-5 Torr 까지 진공배기를 실시하였다. 진공챔버가 기본 압력까지 배기되면 아르곤 가스를 주입하고 기판홀더에 800 V의 직류 전압을 인가하여 약 30분간 글로우 방전 청정을 실시하였다. 기판의 청정이 끝나면 아르곤 가스를 차단하고 코팅층의 구성형태에 따라 Al 또는 Mg을 코팅하였다. 다층형 Al-Mg 코팅층은 2층에서 최대 6층까지 제조하였으며 $3{\mu}m$의 두께를 기준으로 Al과 Mg 코팅층의 두께비가 각각 1:1 과 2:1이 되도록 코팅하였다. 6층 이상에서는 코팅층의 두께 제어가 쉽지 않기 때문에 층수는 6층으로 제한하였다.다층형 Al-Mg 코팅층을 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과, Al-Mg 코팅층간의 계면을 관찰할 수 있었다. 또한 글로우방전분광기로 Al-Mg 코팅층을 관찰한 결과, Al과 Mg 코팅층이 균일한 다층 구조를 형성하고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 다층의 Al-Mg가 코팅된 강판을 염수분무시험을 통해서 내부식 특성을 확인하였다. Al-Mg 코팅 강판의 염수분무시험 결과, Al-Mg 코팅층의 층수가 증가할 수록 내부식 특성이 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이러한 현상은 Al-Mg 코팅층이 다층으로 형성되어 있어 부식 생성물을 효과적으로 차단하여 강판의 부식을 방지한 것으로 판단된다.
