The Genus Cis Latreille known as fungivorous ciids is taxonomically reviewed for the first time from Korea. Six unrecorded species - Cis boleti (Scopoli, 1763); Cis seriatopilosus Motschulsky, 1861; Cis mikagensis Nobuchi & Wada, 1955; Cis jezoensis Nobuchi, 1960; Cis sasajii Kawanabe, 2001; Cis hieroglyphicus Reitter, 1877- are present. All of Cis members are associated with the fruiting body of higher fungi. The author provides the taxonomical information and the ecological information on the host fungi of the Korean Cis species.

A taxonomic review of four Myotis species (M. formosus tsuensis , M. macrodactylus, M. daubentonii ussuriensis and M. nattereri bombinus) belonging to the Vespertilionidae was carried out. based on the external and skeletal (cranium, mandible and humerus ) morphology. The queston whether M. nattereri inhabiting Korea and eastern Siberia is a good separate subspecies (M. nattereri amurensis ) or a synonym of M. nattereri bombinus has remained unsolved. Through a detaile dexaminatin of Koreaan and Japanese speciemens, the author follows the concept of Wallin (1969) who has regarded M. nattereri amurensis as a synonym for M. nattereri bombinus.

미꾸리과(Cobitidae)에 포함되는 종개아과(Nemacheilinae)어류는 유우라시아에 분포하는 저서성 담수어류로 200여종이 알려졌지만 종에 관한 분류학적 연구가 많지 않기 때문에 계통적인 분류가 거의 불가능한 실정이다 (Kottelat, 1990). 한국산 종개아과에는 종개와 쌀미꾸리 2종이 기록되었지만 연구자에 따라 종개의 학명을 Oreiastoni (Jordan and Metz, 1913), Barbatula toni (Mori, 1930; Uchida, 1939; Chyun 1977), Nemacheilus toni (김 등, 1988; Choi et al., 1990; 양 등, 1991), Orthrias nu((Kim, 1999) 사용하고 있어 검토가 요구되었다. External morphology focusing on the flower structure of Korean Platanthera was examined. The genus Tulotis was included to the genus Plathanthera as previously suggested by many workers, because the diagnostic character to distinguish the two genera was not distinct enough. It is revealed that the taxon previously recognized as P. metabifolia was the misidentification of P. chlorantha and P. neglecta should be treated as a distinct species from P. mandarinorum. In result, Korean Platanthera were rearranged into 8 species; P. chlorantha, P. mandarinorum, P. neglecta, P. hologlottis, P. japonica, P. ophrydioides, P. ussuriensis, and P. fuscescens. A key to the species of Korean Plathanthera and taxonomic discussion of each species were provided.

Twenty-five nominal species of Korea stag beetles have been reported from Korea since Heyden (1887). As a result of the present study, seven species are synonymized and the following six species are excluded from Korean fauna because they have been misidentified: Aegus laevicollis, Platycerus delicatulus, P. acuticollis, Gnaphaloryx velutinus, Prismognathus angularis and Nipponodorcus montivagus. The two species, Dorcus taiwanicus and A. laevicollis are discovered newly. Therfore, Korean Lucanidae consists of 14 species of 10 genera.

A taxonomic review of the genus Atractomorpha Saussure in Korea is presented. Two species are identified, Atractomorpha lata (Motschulsky, 1866) and a new record A. sinensis Bolivar, 1905 which is reported from the far southern islands in Korea, Gageo-do and Jeju-do. A key, descriptions, habitus photographs of adults, and distributional information are provided.

We conducted taxonomic study of Languriinae in Korea. Nine species that belong to two genera of one tribe were identified in Korea. Two species, Anadastus ruficeps (Crotch) and Anadastus praetermissus (Janson), were recorded for the first time in Korea. Description, photographs of adults, illustrations of diagnostic characteristics, and a key have been provided.
