Among the auxiliary sciences of history field in the KDC 5th edition, several classification system problems are found with the fields of Archaeology, Diplomatics, Archival Science, Genealogy, and Biography. The purpose of this study is to propose their improvements. To achieve this purpose, first, this study compared and analyzed the Auxiliary Sciences of History field of LCC, DDC, KDC, NDC, UDC, CLC. Second, this study investigated the actual conditions of KDC in the library field to diagnose several application problems. Finally, based on the findings, the improvements of KDC were suggested.

Classification of archival collections in China is usually divided into two approaches, arrangement classification and retrieval classification. Focusing on arrangement of archives, this paper reviews what is the content and principle of arrangement, and how these principles are applied to actual arrangement of records and archives in China. The review examines the historical archives of Rep. of China, in the Second Historical Archives of China. It is expected that current review could enlighten studies on arrangement of historical archives created by Government-General of Chosun.

The travel demand, peak hour ratio and forms of platform of urban railway stations are very different each other, also the users' behavior is. So the types of urban railway stations have to be classified according to these characteristics. However, the current methods of classification are arbitrary on the purpose of each studies and the legal standards are very simple; categorized by normal station vs. whistle station, types of trains, forms of platforms and shapes of architecture. This study clarifies the standards for classifying the types of urban railway stations, results the complete enumeration survey on all the urban railway stations in Seoul Metropolitan Area and makes the database based on the surveyed data, purposing on helping for making strategies and researching. On this study, utilizing the database which is established for this study, the correlation between the physical and geographical characteristics and users' travel patterns of urban railway stations is clarified by the statistical analysis. In the future, the statistical results will be helpful for making strategies and researching.

This study aims to provide suggestions for the development of educational contents on historical events that can solve the existing curriculum's problems, such as the disproportionate weight given to Western historical events. The study focuses on content ranging from the start of the Agricultural Revolution (7000 BC.) to the start of the Industrial Revolution (AD. 1760). The results are as follows. We used the Delphi technique for deriving global historical events. Among them, 56 historical events were selected as the data for Social Network Analysis (SNA). The results of SNA showed that topics related to Civilization has a high priority. In addition, the results of a coagulation analysis showed the events can be divided into seven groups. The classification criteria is different from the criteria used for the current period. We expect that the suggested framework developed for historical contents will constitute a new approach to historical interpretation through network visualization and linkage analysis.

The purpose of this study is to improve the records classification system of the Korean Province of the Daughters of St. Paul for the systematic management and usage of records that they produced and collected. First, the ideology of the foundation of the Congregation and the history of the Korean Province were investigated, and the structure of the community and the present condition of records management were surveyed. The classification methods were chosen according to function, organization, and type for categorization of records. Afterward, the classification system of the General House Historical Archives was analyzed, and some parts set to be improved from the current system were examined. Finally, a revised classification system was suggested. The result of this study can be used to update the system and become a useful material for developing systems of other Catholic Congregations.

The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristics of Cutter's Expansive Classification. The four elements about classification evaluation were applied to analyze it. Results show that first, from philosophy and religion class to literature class, the order of main classes is logical and evolutionary. Second, the notation is a pure notation including author mark. Third, the classification is expansive from first classification to seventh classification. Science classes were expanded in the second classification comparing to the first classification. From the third classification, all classes were expanded. Fourth, it was applied by the local list to indicate places emphasizing connection of geographical space.
