A reduction/oxidation reaction between A1 metal powder and SiO2 powder was performed by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) reaction induced by microwave energy to produce a composite of Al2O3 and Si powders by using a 2.45 GHz kitchen model microwave oven. A Microwave Hybrid Heating(MHH) method was applied by using SiC powders as a suscepting material to raise the temperature of the disk samples and the heat increase rate of over 100℃/min were obtained before the reaction. The reaction started around 850℃ and the heat increase rate jumped to over 200℃/min after the reaction took place.

컴퓨터 프로그래밍 과정에서 학생간의 수준 차는 반 전체의 성취도를 결정하는 중요 요인 중 하나다. 문제를 먼저 해결한 학생은 대기 시간이 낭비되고, 해결 하지 못한 학생은 추가 시간이 필요하다. 이는 예제 위주의 프로그래밍 교육에서는 더 심각하다. 성취도를 예측하는 선행적 기준이 있다면 학생간의 수준별 학습이 가능해 진다. 초기에 수집된 정보인 개인성향, MBTI 분석, 분당 코딩 량 데이터를 향후 필기 시험 점수와 비교 분석하여 성취도를 예측하는 방법을 제시한다.

■ Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the improvement of dilated cardiomyopathy after traditional Korean medical treatment; herb-med, acupuncture, moxibustion. ■ Methods A patient with cardiomyopathy whose chef complaint was oversleep, shortness of breath, fatigue and coldness of hand-foot received inpatient treatment from September 2^nd 2019 to September 23^rd 2019. And we analyzed treatment progress and result. ■ Results We observed that traditional Korean medical treatment decreased symptoms; Fatigue by 30% and Coldness of hand-foot by 100%. And The patient's general condition is improved. ■ Conclusion We report this clinical study to be helpful in treating patients of dilated cardiomyopathy by traditional Korean medicine.

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has been regarded as a non-invasive uterine-preserving treatment for women with uterine myoma. Numerous studies have reported that it is a relatively safe and effective treatment for uterine myoma. However, severe complications, such as deep thermal burn injuries, bowel perforation, and bladder injury, were reported on rare occasions. We report a case of a 4th degree burn on the lower abdomen after HIFU treatment for uterine myoma. Physicians must consider the possibility of deep thermal burn injuries when managing uterine myoma with HIFU.

Retroperitoneal infections are rarer than intra-abdominal infections in children; however, they can lead to significant morbidity in cases of missed diagnosis. We present a case of retroperitoneal abscess caused by extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Escherichia coli in a 10-year-old female adolescent who failed to show clinical improvement following empirical antibiotic therapy.

The early detection of early gastric cancer (EGC) is important. However, the sensitivity of conventional white light imaging (WLI) in detecting EGC had been reported to range only from 77% to 84%. Although the resolution of endoscopes has been remarkably developed, precancerous lesions such as adenomas and microscopic early cancers are difficult to diagnose with general endoscopy. Linked Color Imaging (LCI) magnifies the differences in color for easy detection. Therefore, it produces a bright image from a distance and is performed for screening endoscopy. The 410 nm wavelength of BLI (Blue Light Imaging) helps to detect cancer by showing microstructure and microvessels in the mucosal superficial layer. This review will focus on the utility of Image enhanced endoscopy (IEE) techniques in diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancer.

While there is a high prevalence of patent foramen ovale in adults, paradoxical embolism via a patent foramen ovale is rare. Previous echocardiographic studies indicated that paradoxical embolism might only occur in patients with high-risk features of patent foramen ovale (i.e., large defect size, presence of a Eustachian valve, and high right atrial pressure). Here, we present a case of patent foramen ovale with high-risk CT features for paradoxical embolism.
