Evaluation of Congestion due to Traffic Volume in Narrow Channel - On Gaduk Channel according to Busan New Port Development - (협수로의 교통량에 따른 혼잡도 평가에 관하여 - 부산(가덕) 신항만 개발에 따른 가덕수도의 혼잡도 평가를 중심으로 -)

  • When designing new marine traffic routes, it is desirable that the congestion due to traffic volume is evaluated by theoretical traffic capacity or by traffic simulation. Most of these techniques are applied to single server which is not considered channel width. Over-taking or paralle sailing of two or more vessels is allowalbe in Dover, Uraga, Gaduk-sudo, etc under their traffic capacity. In this paper, the Bumper Model is introduced to multiple severs in narrow channel and applied to Uraga Channel in Japan. The minimum width of Uraga Channel is 1, 400 m and its design traffic capacity is evaluated 19.26 ~ 19.52% of the basic traffic capacity. The traffic capacity on Gaduk Channel according to Busan New Port Development in 2011 will be estimated 3.59 % of maximum density and equal to 18.6% of that on Uraga Channel in 1992. The channel width Gaduk-sudo is designed 1, 600~2, 460 m and evaluated safe enough.

An Analysis on the Characteristics of Wind Distribution in the Coast of Busan Using AWS Data (AWS 데이터를 이용한 부산 해안의 바람분포 특성 해석)

  • Wind velocity and wind direction are very important in the viewpoint of ship's safety and stability of port structure. The characteristics of wind distribution in the coast of Busan are analyzed for 10 years from 1997 to 2006 using AWS(Automatic Weather System) data. The characteristics of wind distribution of Miryang, is not affected by the land and sea breeze are also examined to understand clearly the characteristics of wind distribution in the coast of Busan. The mean wind velocity in the coast of Busan is stronger than that of Miryang. The mean wind velocitie at Youngdo and Gadukdo stations of Busan are stronger about 2.0 times than those at IlGwang, Haeundae and Daeyeon stations. The correlation a states show that the variation tendencies of monthly mean wind velocitie in the coast of Busan are very similar. The maximum monthly mean velocitie in the coast of Busan are recorded in September. This re ult is closely related to the influence of typhoon. The maximum instantaneous wind velocitie are also strong at Youngdo and Gadukdo stations and the peaks of maximum instantaneous wind $velocit^9$ are observed mainly from August to September. In the coast of Busan, the SW'ly-NNE'ly wind are prevailing in the winter and the SW'ly and NE'ly wind are predomi snt in the spring. w that the vs of wind direction in the summer and athumn are similar with those in the spring and winter, respectively.

Estimation of the Range of the Suspended Solid from the Nakdong River using Satellite Imageries and Numerical Model (위성영상 및 수치모델을 이용한 낙동강유출 부유토사 확산범위 추정)

  • We were trying to understand indirectly the range of the discharge from the Nakdong with the dispersion of suspended solid(SS) related to the amount of discharge from river in this study. The range of dispersion of SS from the Nakdong was estimated using satellite remote sensing and numerical modeling. The stream field with two dimensional and numerical model using the condition of integrated depth was calculated. According to the results, the streamline flowed from Busan to the Jinhae Bay and Geojae Island. at the flood. The situation at the ebb was totally changed. The streamline flowed out Busan from the Bay. The velocity in offshore was faster than one at coastal water of the Nackdong. Residual current which was averaged during 12hours dominantly appeared the dominant direction from the southwestern part of the Nackdong to the northeastern part of it. The eastward current appeared at the eastern coast of Gaduck Is. Base on the results of the velocity field, the quantifying of the dispersion of SS was estimated by the method of numerical tracer related to the Lagrangian method. The significant range of the dispersion of the SS from the Nackdong was from the eastern coast of Gaduck Is, to the coastal areas of Busan, Korea. The estimated range of the dispersion of the SS using the SeaWiFS and Landsat satellite data was similar to the estimated results using the numerical model.

부산 중죽도를 활용한 해양문화공간 조성방안에 관한 연구

  • 부산 강서구 천성동에 소재한 중죽도는 해양문화공간으로 조성할 수 있는 다양한 잠재력과 가능성을 가지고 있다. 거가대교의 지상부분으로 연결되는 장소에 있는 중죽도와 대죽도는 거가대교를 건설하면서 육지와 침매 해저터널로 연결된 무인도이다. 이러한 시설을 조성하면서 자연스럽게 형성된 방파제와 매립지는 중죽도와 인접한 까닭에 육지에서 자동차로 접근이 가능한 공간이다. 때문에 무인도라는 섬을 자동차로 갈 수 있다는 장점뿐 아니라 육지의 전기가 공급된다는 장점도 있다. 특히 대형차량을 위한 주차시설과 거가대교 홍보관이 있는 가덕해양파크 휴게소에서 차량을 이용하여 접근이 가능하므로 이 시설과 연계한 관광상품도 개발이 가능한 현실이다. 국내 유일의 이러한 환경을 활용하여 친환경적인 개념을 도입하여 각종 시설을 계획한다면 매우 매력적인 해양문화공간을 조성할 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 중죽도와 연결된 매립지을 활용하여 해양문화공간을 조성하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

부산신항 적극적 관제 장려 방안 연구

  • 부산신항은 지형적인 특성상 마산 방면에서 입출항하는 선박과 신항으로 입출항하는 선박이 서로 교차하는 경우가 빈번하고 대형 컨테이너선과 저속 예부선 등의 통항량이 많을 뿐만 아니라 년 중 안개일수도 많아 충돌사고 위험이 상존한다. 따라서 선박에 정보제공 정도만 하는 소극적 관제 보다는 선박의 이동에 개입하는 적극적인 관제가 사고 방지에 더욱 효과적이라 할 수 있다. 부산신항의 관제 자료 및 해양안전심판원의 재결사례 등을 통하여 충돌사고의 원인을 분석하는 과정에서 적극적 관제의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본고에서는 부산신항에서의 적극적 관제 사례와 문제점을 주로 법률적인 측면에서 살펴보고, 적극적 관제의 개선 방안을 도출하여 보았다.

  • 우리나라 연안의 평균해면이 증가하고 있다는 주장과 고극조위, 저극조위가 증가(또는 변동)하고 있다는 주장이 제기되고 있으나, 연구자가 사용한 자료의 기간 및 분석 방법 등에 차이가 있고, 결측자료(missing data) 및 이상자료(outlier) 등을 처리한 방법이 서로 차이가 있기 때문에 전체적으로 또는 부분적으로 분석결과가 차이를 보일 수 있다. 또한 추세분석에서는 통계적인 신뢰수준에 대한 검정과정 없이 단순하게 선형회귀곡선식을 이용하여 기울기의 부호만으로 증가 감소를 판단하는 경우도 있다. 그러나 추세분석은 최적의 추세곡선을 찾아내는 것 이전에 추세의 유무를 통계적인 신뢰수준을 기준으로 검정하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 추세분석의 필수과정인 추세검정(추세가 있는가? 없는가?)을 Mann-Kendall 방법을 이용하여 우리나라 전 연안 조위관측소의 평균해수면 및 고극조위, 저극조위 자료에 대하여 수행하였다. 추세검정 결과를 다음과 같이 도출할 수 있었다. 평균해수면은 95% 유의수준으로 분석에 포함된 전체 30개 검조소 중 대산, 보령, 군산, 목포, 통영, 거문도, 부산, 가덕도, 제주, 서귀포, 속초, 포항, 울산, 울릉도 지점 등 19개 지점이 추세가 있는 것으로 파악되었으며, 고극조위, 저극조위는 각각 15개, 17개 지점이 추세가 있는 것으로 파악되었다.

  • Estuary of Nakdong river area is composed of unconsolidated sediments including clays that are deposited varying from 40 to 70m thick. The purpose of research is the knowledge of the correlation between engineering properties and mineralogy of clay sediments. The correlation analysis carry out multiple regression that have independent variables (Engineering properties) and dependent variables (mineralogy, geochemistry). Engineering properties of clay are correlated with the mineral compositions and geochemical characteristics. New Record of Sternuchopsis waltoni (Boheman) (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Molytinae, Mecysolobini) from South Korea (한국산 바구미 Sternuchopsis waltoni (딱정벌레목, 바구미과, 참바구미아과, Mecysolobini족)의 보고)

  • A female specimen of Sternuchopsis (s. str.) waltoni (Boheman, 1844), belonging to the tribe Mecysolobini (Curculionidae: Molytinae), was collected by beating method from Gadeok-do in Busan, the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. This weevil pest is designated as a quarantine pest under the Plant Quarantine Act (2019) in Korea. It is considered unreasonable to determine whether this species is an invasive or native species in Korea, as damage to crops has not been confirmed and there is no other collection information. This study aims to provide accurate diagnosis information including illustration and ecological information to gain more domestic occurrence information on this weevil.

  • It is anticipated that Gadeok New Airport will be constructed, and the entity responsible for its operation will be a new airport authority, not the existing airport corporation, as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has announced its plan to establish the Gadeok New Airport Construction Authority. Based on the precedents of existing airport corporations, it is expected that the future authority will undergo organizational changes to become an airport corporation. This study seeks to establish criteria for selecting overseas airports for benchmarking when researching the entity that will operate the newly established Gadeok New Airport authority. To provide a specific basis for selecting overseas airports for the future operation of Gadeok Airport, the Delphi survey method will be used to derive criteria. Currently, when examining the participation of local governments in regional airports, Gimhae International Airport is operated solely by the Korea Airports Corporation, receiving criticism for the lack of participation by the local government, such as Busan City, in decision-making related to airport operation and local reinvestment. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to provide early direction for improvement in this regard.

  • The oceanic effect on the climate of the southern coast of Korea was analysed based on the sea surface temperature and in order to study relationships between the fluctuation of the sea surface temperature and that of climatic elements. Meteolorogical data from 1960 to 1979 were used. In the year when difference between the air and water temperature was maximum, the air temperature in southern coast was higher than normal year. A fluctuation of the sea surface temperature plays an important influence to determine the variation of the air temperature in the coastal area. Humidity of the coastal climate depends upon the oceanic effect in summer, but not in winter. This results may be due to prevailing wind effect. The oceanic effect on the precipitation in the coastal area is not found.
