Use of dynamic measurement for pavement condition evaluation (도로포장상태 평가를 위한 진동계측의 이용)

  • 포장도로는 신설된 후 계속적인 차량의 통행과 기후 조건의 변화등으로 시 간이 경과함에 따라서 그 상태가 저하된다. 따라서 포장도로는 일정기간이 지난 후에는 쾌적한 차량의 통행을 보장하기 위하여 유지보수를 실시하여야 한다. 이러한 유지보수를 효율적이고 과학적으로 수행하는 것은 대단히 중요 하다. 미국과 같은 선진국의 경우 도로 신설의 투자비 보다 유지보수에 사용 되는 예산이 더 많아지고 있는데 효율적인 유지관리 시스템의 개발로 투자 비를 적정화하고자 하는 노력이 크게 증가되고 있다. 도로 포장 구조체가 도 로 이용자에게 어느 정도의 안전성, 쾌적성 및 신속성을 제공하고 있는가를 평가하는 것은 포장관리의 중요한 고려사항이며 그 결과는 포장의 공용성 개념으로 표현된다. 포장상태 조사시 포함되는 항목들은 포장유지관리 시스 템을 운용하는 기관마다 약간씩 차이는 있으나 대체로 노면조도, 노면장애, 구조적 능력, 미끄럼저항등이다. 이중 진동계측장비가 많이 사용되는 항목은 노면조도와 구조적 능력평가 부분으로서 이 두 항목에 포함되는 진동 계측 장비와 그 이용방법에 관해서 논하고자 한다.

자동차 능동형 샤시시스템 개발동향

  • 일반적으로 자동차의 샤시(chassis)라 하면 총체적인 개념에서 자동차로부터 차체(body)를 제외한 부분을 일컫는데, 구동 및 제동장치, 바퀴 현가장치, 조향장치, 타이어 및 휠 등이 이에 속한다. 1970년대 마이크로 컴퓨터의 응용기술이 도입되면서 엔진분야에서 시작한 자동차 전자화기술은 구동 및 제동분야에서의 전자제어식 제동잠김 및 구동 미끄럼방지 시스템(ABS/TCS)의 응용기 술을 거쳐 1980년 중반부터 차량의 현가 및 조향분야에서 능동형의 시스템이 개발되기 시작하 였다. 그 대표적인 예로서 자동차용 적응식 및 반 능동식 가변댐퍼(variable damper), 능동식 현가시스템(active suspension system) 그리고 4륜조향 시스템(four wheel steering system)을 들 수 있다. 1990년대에 들어서는 이러한 각종 능동형 시스템이 종합적으로 고려되어 설계되는 이 른바 자동차의 샤시 통합제어 시스템(chassis integrated control system)또는 능동형 샤시 시스템 (active chassis system)으로 발전되어 가고 있는 추세에 있다. 이 글에서는 최근에 가장 대표 적인 능동형 샤시시스템으로서 각종 능동식 현가시스템 및 4륜조향 시스템의 개발동향 및 기 술적, 경제적인 측면에서의 종합적인 검토를 하고자 한다.

Medium 비닐 부타디엔 고무와 SBR의 혼합(混合)과 이의 특성(特性)

  • 에너지 위기후(危機後) 천연자원(天然資源)이 점차로 고갈(枯渴)되여 가고 있는 요즈음 고무산업(産業)에도 이의 여파(餘波)로 몇가지 영향(影響)을 받고 있다. 한 예(例)로 일반적(一般的)으로 널리 사용(使用)되고 있는 23.5% 스티렌 함량(含量)의 SBR제조(製造)에 있어 값싼 부타디엔 및 스티렌 단량체(單量體)를 만들기에는 세계적(世界的) 자원부족(資源不足)으로 인(因)하여 심각(深刻)한 위치(位置)에 놓여있어 장차(長次) 안가(安價)이며 충분(充分)한 량(量)의 합성(合成)고무를 공급(供給)하기에는 SBR과 다른 고무와의 부분적(部分的) 또는 완전(完全)히 다른 합성(合成)고무로 대치 사용함이 타당(妥當)할 것이다. 확범위(擴範圍)한 실험(實驗)끝에 $50\sim55%$ vinyl함량(含量)의 폴리부타디엔 고무가 제조(製造)되였는데 이것은, 자동차용 트레드 부분과 wet skid resistance애 많이 이용(利用)되고 있는 유화(乳化) 또는 용액중합(溶液重合)의 SBR과 매우 유사한 물리적(物理的) 특성(特性)을 나타낸다. 그리고 $45\sim50%$ vinyl함량 폴리부타디엔 고무는 오히려 SBR보다 내마모와 crack growth가 더 좋음을 알았다. 45% vinyl함량 폴리부타디엔 고무와 SBR, cis-플리부타디엔 고무(30/35/35)의 3성분(成分) 혼합체(混合體)는 65/35비율(比率)의 SBR/cis-폴리부타디엔 고무보다 트레드의 마모성이나 미끄럼성이 더 좋았으며 또한 45/20/35 비율(比率)의 혼합체(混合體)도 역시 내 마모성이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 이와같은 medium vinyl 폴리부타디엔 고무는 SBR로 이용(利用)되고있는 (非)타이어 산어(産業)에서도 SBR대신 단독(單獨) 또는 일부분(一部分) SBR과 혼합(混合)해서 사용(使用)할 수 있다. medium vinyl폴리부타디엔 고무는 낮은 발열성(發熱性)(heat build-up) 그리고 내(耐)빵구성(性)이 우수(優秀)하며 SBR과 유사(類似)한 물리적(物理的) 특성(特性)을 가지고 있으므로 스티렌의 생산(生産)이 활발(活發)해지고 값이 저겸(低謙)하드라도 위와같은 장점(長點) 때문에 장차(長次) 계속 사용(使用)될 것이며 더욱더 개발(開發)될 것이다.

The Experimental Study on the Transient Brake Time of Vehicles by Road Pavement and Friction Coefficient (노면 포장별 차량의 제동경과시간 및 마찰계수에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • When a car accident occurs, people who had an accident are not free from civil and criminal issues so that the accident investigator should reenact and analyze the accident situation accurately. In addition, the obtained documents through the analysis of such car accident occurrence and related factors have to be used to carry out the improvement of the areas that has numerous car accidents and complementary actions. The vehicle speed, accelerating force, braking power are currently known as the most affecting factors in accordance with many car accidents, traffic facilities, road design, etc. The vehicle's performance and rode friction coefficient road surface friction coefficient are affecting the most closely in this field. Especially, once the estimate of the speed of the accident moment relating to main eleven articles of Traffic Accident Exemption Law is very important and accuracy is required. However, currently the researches of these matters have not made exclusively yet in Korea. In this study by reflecting this current situation, until the sudden braking history is found from the car's sudden braking, it estimates accurately the transient brake time and rode friction coefficient by measuring a time of transient brake time through the precision speed detector (Vericom VC2000PC). The analysis of the experimental results calculated the transient brake time and friction coefficient to fit into the purpose of this study in the basis of different kind of various special purpose asphalt pavement and slip-prevention pavement and provided the fundamental data.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a new SRC(Steel Ready mixed Concrete) lining board. The research method of this study includes problem analysis of existing lining boards a constant load test and a fatigue test. The results of this study are as follow : 1) the suggested new lining board improves the function and reduce slipperiness than existing lining boards. 2) the strength of the new SRC lining board is analyzed as superior than existing lining boards from the results of constant load test and fatigue test.

  • This paper describes modeling process to obtain precise landing gear model which is necessary to design a control law for ground auto-taxi, auto take-off/landing of UAV. In this paper, landing gear side force modeling is studied to complete a landing gear model of UAV. Side force modeling is performed by calculating cornering angle including steering angle. And ground directional controller is designed by using nose wheel steering and rudder steering at the same time to control course angle error. Accuracy of landing gear side force modeling and ground directional controller is proved by comparing of auto-taxi test results with simulation results.

Study of Two-shaft Rotary Disc UF Module for the Separation of Oil Emulsion (2축 회전판형 UF 모듈의 Oil Emulsion 분리 특성 연구)

  • Rotary disc ultrafiltration module(RDM) was developed for the separation of oil emulsions. This module was devised to reduce the gel polarization phenomenon by alecoupling the operation pressure and the surface velocity of solution in ultrafiltration(UF) processes. Two-shaft engaged disc type RDM having 20 rotary disc membcanes(UOP, USA) was operated under 85kPa vacuum at $25^{\circ}$C. The pressure drop due to slip flow in the two-shaft RDM was found to be proportional to $(2.5{\omega}r)^{2}$. The pure water flux of two-shaft RDM decreased by 9.95% at the angular velocity of 41.89rad/s compared to the decrease of 3.01% for one-shaft RDM at the same velocity. When the angular velocity was changed from 31.42rad/s to 2.62rad/s, the flux decline for 1% cutting oil in two-shaft RDM was 30.16% that is similar to that of one-shaft RDM. Disc gap of 3mm and 7mm did not show any significant differences in the flux for 1% cutting oil solution. A modified model for two-shaft RDM showed good agreement with the experimental results for the cutting oil solution.

BACK(MAIN) WHEEL AND HANDRIM MOVEMENT ANALYSIS / Seat and wheel as the most important component of a wheelchair, study the relation of handrim and hand movement and test the most effective and comfortable handrim. Direction of the study was concerntrated on three areas, with results and information collected, would like to suggest design change of X type collapsible chair in areas of size of SEAT(air pocket type), HANDRIM(anti-slip hump), ARMHEST(transfer movement, rubber padding. accent), and HANDLE(adjustable, round type). An Assessment on the Urban Riverfront in Shincheon, Daegu - Focused on a Universal Design Concept - (대구광역시 신천의 친수공간 평가 연구 - 유니버설디자인 개념을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive a desirable riverfront construction plan to me for the activities of citizens through the evaluation and analysis of the urban riverfront space from the perspective of universal design. Therefore, previous studies were examined in order to induce evaluation tools that bhve been grafted from the universal design concept; in addition, a field survey was conducted in Shincheon, Daegu, which was selected as the study target, in order to induce problems and improvement directions from the perspective of universal design. The major results can be summarized as follows. (1) In the 'fairness' aspect, all the items such as installation of integrated functional signage, showing pictures, symbols, foreign language signs, and restroom entrances signage were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; and therefore, it is necessary to improve the fairness of usage for everybody. (2) In the 'Functionality(Usability)' aspect, all items such as installation of bicycle paths beside access roads, installation of integrated functional signs, and night light signs were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the functionalities of these facilities. (3) In the 'Convenience' aspect, all items such as the installation of bicycle parking areas, continuous rest facilities, and back and ann support(handles) at resting facilities were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for many sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve these facilities for the convenience of usage. (4) In the 'Information(Recognizability)' aspect, all items such as showing pictures, symbols, foreign languages and installation of night light signs, and restroom entrances signage were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the recognizability to minimize misunderstandings and confusion. (5) In the 'Safety' aspect, all items such as the installation of safe pedestrian paths in parking areas, using anti-slip and shock absorption materials on restroom floors, and the continuous installation of pedestrian paths that are separate from bicycle paths were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the safety to prevent accidents. (6) In the 'Amenity' aspect, access roads, parking areas, hygiene facilities, convenience facilities, and waterside facilities for many sections were determined to be 'All Unsuitable'; therefore, it is necessary to conduct more concentrated hygiene management. (7) In the 'Accessibility(Mobility)' aspect, all items such as the installation of safe pedestrian paths in parking areas, and continuous pedestrian paths that are separate from bicycle paths were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the accessibility to provide safety and convenience. (8) In the 'Durability' aspect, access roads, parking areas, rest facilities, convenience facilities, fitness facilities, and waterside facilities were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for many sections, therefore, it is necessary to improve sunken or damaged areas by inspecting facilities by section.

Tectonics of the Tertiary Eoil and Waeup basins in the southeastern part of Korea (한반도 동남부 제3기 어일분지 및 와읍분지의 지구조 운동)

  • Stratigraphy has been renewedly set up and the evolution of tectonic events related to basin formation has been exam-ined on the basis of fault-slip data analysis in the Tertiary Eoil and Waeup basins of the southeastern part of Korea. First of all, field mapping was carried out in detail for Tertiary formations and then paleostress analysis were peformed with more than 400 fault slip data collected from 11 sites in the Tertiary formations and the Yucheon Group. It is judged that both the Eoil and Waeup basins filled up with Tertiary deposits might be simultaneously formed in separate locations. The Janggi Group in the Eoil basin is divided into following stratigraphic units in ascending order: Gampo Conglomerte, Hongdeok Basalt, Nodongri Conglomerate and Yeondang Basalt, and the Bomkori Group in the Waeup basin: Waeupri Tuff; Andongri Conglomerate, Yongdongri Tuff and Hoamri Volcanic Breccia. Paleostress analysis by using striated faults reveals five sequential tectonic events: (1) NW-SE transtension (event I), (2) NW-SE transpression (event IIl), (3) NE-SW pure extension (event III), (4) N-S transpression (event IV) and (5) E-W pure compression (event V). Therefore, five sequential tectonic movements are closely associated with the formation and evolution of the Tertiary basins in the study area: tectonic event I of NW-SE extension is related to formation of the Tertiary basins during the late Oligocene to the Early Miocene, tectonic events II, III and IV caused the termination of the Tertiary basin opening and the crustal uplift in the study area, and tectonic event V upheaved the east coast or Korean Peninsula with compressive stress due to intense subduction of the Pacific plate into Asian continent since the Early Pliocene.
