This study aims at examining the discussions of Chilgeojiak, meaning seven vices that can be valid causes of divorce, and the discourse on a married couple shown in the deposal of Empress Kwak in Okhwangibong. The study first analyzes the relationship between the incidents of expelling wives from homes in the Joseon Dynasty Era and the seven vices. The divorce of Yi Mi and Shin Taeyeong and the deposal of Queen Yun by King Seongjong show that the standards of judgement in most of the seven vices are unclear or controversial. In Okhwangibong, the arguments about Chilgeojiak are examined through the form of a novel with the expulsion of Empress Kwak. Empress Kwak was deposed by her husband, Emperor Kwangmu, due to jealousy and evil deeds. However, she was devoted to her parents-in-law, bore sons, and above all, she was the emperor's first wife and had gone through hard times and supported her husband. Considering these circumstances, her deposal is not quite agreeable. Readers have the same question, and this has become a cause of the creation of a series. The reasons for Empress Kwak's jealousy lie in Okhwan-a jade ring, the existence of Empress Eum, and the partial love of Emperor Kwangmu. That is, it is not Empress Kwak's fault. Additionally, unrealistic elements involved in Empress Kwak's evil deeds and the story structure focused on her work as factors that make readers support Empress Kwak. Therefore, Okhwangibong displays the realities regarding the discourse of husbands and wives of the era rather than the love in Okhwan, the jade ring, between Emperor Kwangmu and Empress Eum. Such understanding continues to exist in the following series and is a valid problem in the present time.

As pioneers of the early video art, Steina Vasulka(1940-) and Woody Vasulka(1937-2019) had lead not only their own experimental arts, but also entire changes of contemporary avant-garde performance, music, and visual art. Two artists invented and developed electronic machines for video image-processing by collaborating with engineers, and performed creative experiment on transformation of digital image. For them, video art is not just a means of documentation. The Vasulkas' artistic practices were not bounded by conventional canons and rules in art world, and preferably were parts of active aesthetic strategies for coexistence of vision of human and vision of machine. Particularly, their video art recognized the video as the key medium in an era where media technology began to dominate the system of communication, and established artist's authority over manipulation of moving image electronically without depending on video camera. In that regard, we can value on their video art. Therefore, the paper reflects on the Vasulkas' art and life which have not yet been studied, and suggests academic interests in the context of their artistic activities and aesthetic strategies.

The purpose of this study is to propose an art healing program that can be used in the field to improve the quality of life and positive interaction between the elderly with mild dementia and their spouses. Therefore, after considering the preceding studies, the art healing program was constructed in five stages: survey-analysis-design-plan-implementation and evaluation based on theoretical discourse. In addition, by pilot application to the elderly with mild dementia and their spouses using the Y Dementia Relief Center, the art healing program provides internal positive resources, strengthens mutually beneficial resources between husband and wife, and improves life satisfaction and happiness by experiencing relationships with neighbors in the local community. was confirmed to be effective. This study is significant in that it proposes an art healing support plan that supports dementia patients and their families together before entering a super-aging society.

In the 1970s, the full-scale development of the area now known as Gangnam began, ushering in the era of real estate investment on apartments which transformed housing styles in Korea. Apartments were pitched as the most ideal type of housing, creating a competitive market of high demand and skyrocketing prices. The apartments were also viewed as a means of quick asset investment among middle-class Koreans. Within this apartment frenzy stood the female real estate speculator, the bokbuin. This study seeks to locate the bokbuin in the real estate development market after the late 1970s. The apartment speculation boom cannot be attributed to the bokbuin alone, yet she became the target of public anger and criticism, singled-out as being responsible for fueling illegal and unethical investments. The apartment boom of the 1970s was in fact generated in large part by the government, developers, construction companies and realtors. While their pursuit of profit was deemed as legitimate, the bokbuin's conduct was mostly tainted by presumed illegitimate and greedy motivations. This study problematizes this gendering of real estate investment and treat the bokbuin as a byproduct of the family-centered culture in East Asia. Analyzing Im Kwon Taek's film "Mrs. Speculator", Park Ki Won's conte, "Bokbuin", Park Wan Seo's short story, "Children of Paradise", "The People of Seoul", this study shows that bokbuin's pursuit was not hers alone; it was the collective pursuit with her husband for the enhancement of family finances. This stud y argue that the bokbuin embodied the thickly misogynistic climate of the 1970s that projected the chaotic rise of greed onto the woman.
