As research and development of eco-friendly vehicles are expanding worldwide, additional devices of vehicles are reduced or deleted to increase the mileage, or research is being conducted to reduce weight. Among them, the multi-stage transmission that was applied to the internal combustion engine vehicle was deleted and replaced with a reducer, and the initial driving power is secured by increasing the torque through the control of the motor output value. However, since frequent motor speed change can result in a load increase, this study attempts to develop a compact and lightweight manual two-stage reducer with a general reducer structure. Therefore, a two-speed transmission with two gear ratio was designed by inserting a large gear and a small gear in a structure with a parallel shaft to connect the gears with a V-belt in the form of a parallel shaft reducer, and setting the gear ratio of the low and high gears respectively. In addition, power performance according to the rotational speed and load of the transmission was checked through a test, and the heat generation characteristics generated during driving were checked to verify the validity of the transmission.

This paper discusses the types and functions of English subordinate clauses, whether English subordinate clauses (SC) are headed by a Complementizer (CP) or headed by a lexical (but not functional) Preposition (PP). Furthermore, unlike the standard classification, the current paper provides a finer-grained analysis and classification of English SCs. The traditional or prescriptive view on the functions of English SCs includes Noun SC such as complement clauses, Adjectival SC including relative clauses, and Adverbial SCs that cover a garden variety of subordinators. Added to the existing classification of subordination in English is what I notate as Verbless subordinate clause (V-less SC). Of these 4 different types of subordinate clauses with different functions, properties, and distributions, Subjectless Verbless subordinate clause is further divided into Smallest small clause (SSC) which accounts for English subordination mechanism more uniformly and consistently with respect to their clausal architecture, especially when the subordinate clause is neither PP nor CP.

This study suggests direction of new ordinance establishment for the future national application of Low Impact Development(LID) by analyzing current LID-related regulations of local governments, substantial agents to install and maintain a facility, through qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Four key words related to LID were derived from advisory conference and then ninety nine ordinances as the LID-related regulations were extracted to analyze. The study shows that rainwater-related ordinance passed in the middle of 2000s are being merely converted to the law on the promotion and support of water reuse. Regulations on water cycle and LID exist only in three cities nationwide(Seoul City, Suwon City and Namangju City). Interview with administrators of three cities to have LID-related regulations revealed following results. First, both rainwater and water reuse related regulations have not considered regional characteristics such as rainfall intensity, effects of impervious and merely followed guidelines by Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs. Second, existing ordinance is confined to specific facilities and thus cannot include the concept of LID which covers land and space utilization. Therefore, for proper application of LID, this study proposes issue of ordinance that resembles Seoul City ordinance and a new guideline that can reflect regional characteristics such as rainfall and location.

In this paper, we propose a new efficient motion vector coding algorithm for the video sequence with slow motion. In the proposed algorithm, the amount of motion for a given video sequence is determined by a Skip_rate parameter. The motion difference for slow motion is encoded with a combined codeword which is generated from the conventional codewords. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves approximately $15\%$ bits gain compared to the conventional methods. Moreover, additional memory and calculations for statistical observation are not required in the proposed algorithm.

대화체는 문어체와는 달리 화자와 청자 사이의 질의/응답으로 이루어진 형태의 문장들을 가지며, 생략과 대용어가 빈번히 발생하는 특징을 갖는다. 이러한 대화 형태에서 어떠한 한 문장에는 화자가 전달하고자 하는 의도를 포함하고 있다. 이러한 대화체 문장들을 번역하는 것은 단순한 언어적 분석에 의한 번역으로서는 많은 번역상의 오류가 발생하게 된다. 따라서 대화체 문장들의 올바른 번역을 위해서는 대화의 상황을 반영하는 문맥 정보가 부가적으로 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문맥 정보로서 화행을 사용하여 대화체 기계번역을 수행하고자 한다. 화행(Speech Act)이란 화자에 의해 의도되어 발화 속에 포함된 언어적 행위를 나타내며, 이러한 화행을 분석함으로써 화자의 의도를 파악하고 이를 통해 올바른 번역을 수행할 수 있게 된다. 본 기계번역 시스템에 포함된 화행 분석 과정에서는 대화를 화행으로 모델링한 담화 문법과 유사한 형태의 재귀적 대화 전이망(Recursive Dialog Transition Network)을 사용하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 호텔 예약 영역에서의 기계번역 시스템에 대한 간단한 소개와 화행의 종류 및 분석 방법과 이를 통한 기계번역 방식에 대해 살펴보도록 하겠다.

This paper proposes an image retrieval system which integrates metadata, contents, and emotions in textile images. First, the proposed system searches images using metadata. Among searched images, the system retrieves similar images based on color histogram, color sketch, and emotion histogram. To extract emotion features, this paper uses emotion colors which was proposed on 160 emotion words by H. Nagumo. To enhance the user's convenience, the proposed textile image retrieval system provides additional functions as like enlarging an image, viewing color histogram, viewing color sketch, and viewing repeated patterns.

KISTI collects the scientific and technical articles published in Korea and builds the Korean STI database for scientists. The number of papers exceeds one million. To improve the search efficiency of the database additional processing is required. Abstracting, classification, indexing and extracting is a traditional processing method adding value to information. Indexing and classification are useful tool to assist efficient retrieval. In this paper, authors propose a method to improve information retrieval efficiency by assigning classification code and index terms to records of Korean STI database.

종래에는 중국이나 일본에 관한 연구에 종속되어 부가적인 것으로 취급되어 오던 한국학이 한국의 선진 공업국화와 경제적인 국제 지위의 향상에 힘입 어 한국 연구가 세계적으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이제 본고를 통해 서방국 가 중에서는 한국 연구에 가장 앞서 있다고 할 수 있는 미국에서의 한국학 의 발달 과정을 살펴보고 한국학에 종사하는 학자.전문인들의 단체에는 어떤 것이 존재하며, 또한 이들 전문인들의 공식적 커뮤니케이션 경로로서의 1차 학술잡지, 단행본, 총서, 박사학위 논문 등의 현황을 구체적으로 고찰하였다. 또한 한국학을 연구하는 학자.전문인들의 연구의 결실이라고 할수 있는 1차 자료들이 정보의 재생산과 효과적인 정보 활용을 위해 서지적인 통정이 조 직적으로 이루어지고 있는가를 고찰하기 위하여 현존하는 연구안내서, 서지, 그리고 한국관계 자료를 소장하고 있는 미국의 저명한 도서관과 그 도서관 에서 발행하고 있거나 이미 발행한 장소목록 등을 구체적으로 상술하였다. 본 연구를 통해 첫째, 미국에서의 한국학은 한국의 정치, 경제, 사회, 역사등 사회과학 분야에서는 강세를 보이고 있으나, 회화, 조각, 무용, 민속 그리고 종교와 같은 인문과학 분야에서의 한국학은 매우 미미한 것임을 알수 있었 다. 둘째로, 미국의 한국학 관계자료의 서지적 통정면에서는 현행서지와 초 록 서비스는 거의 부재의 상태임이 드러났다. 따라서 한국학 관계자료의 신 속한 접근을 위한 현행서지나 색인서비스가 이루어져야 한다는 것이 밝혀졌 다고 하겠다.

In this paper, we propose a mechanism to transform more effective and semantically equivalent queries by using appropriately represented three kinds of knowledge. Also we proposed a mechanism which transforms partially omitted components or expressions into complete queries so that users can use more simple queries. The knowledges used to transform and optimize are semantic, structural and domain knowledge. Semantic knowledge includes semantic integrity constraints and domain integrity constraints. Structural knowledge represents physical relationship between relations. And domain knowledge maintains the domain information of attributes. The proposed system optimizes to more effective queries by eliminating/adding/replacing unnecessary or redundant restrictions/joins.

Several power factor correction(PFC) circuits are presented to achieve high PF electronic ballast for both v voltage-fed and current-f,어 ek'Ctronic ballast. The proposed PFC circuits use valley-fil[(VF) type DClink s stages modified from the conventional VF circuit to adopt the charge pumping method for PFC operations d during the valley intervals. In voltage-fed ballast, charge pump capacitors are connected with the resonant c capaCltor In current-fed type, the charge pump capacitors are connc'Ctc'Cl with the additional second따y-side of t the power transformer. The measured PF is higher than 0.99 and THD is about 10% for all proposed PFC c circuits. The lamp current CF is also acceptable in the proposed circuits. The proposed circuit is suitable for i implementing cost longrightarroweffective electronic ballast.
