  • In this study, a specific structural design procedure for 2 MW class glass/epoxy composite wind turbine system towers is newly proposed through load case study, trade-off study, optimal structural design and structural analysis. Optimal tower design is very important because its cost is about 20% of the wind turbine system's cost. In the structural design of the tower, three kinds of loads such as wind load, blades, nacelle and tower weight and blade aerodynamic drag load should be considered. Initial structural design is carried out using the netting rule and the rule of mixture. Then the structural safety and stability are confirmed using a commercial finite element code, MSC NASTRAN/PATRAN. The finally proposed tower configuration meets the tower design requirements.

  • This research was carried out to develop an integrated folding wing made from carbon composite materials. Design requirements were reviewed and composite wing sizing was conducted using design optimization with commercial software. Three composite manufacturing processes including hot-press, pultrusion, and autoclave were evaluated and the most suitable processes for the integrated wing fabrication were selected, with consideration given to performance and cost. The determined manufacturing process was verified by two design development tests for selecting the design concept. Stiffness and strength of the composite wing were estimated through structural analyses. The test loads were calculated and static tests about design limit load and design ultimate load were performed using both wings. As a result, the evaluation criterions of the tests were satisfied and structural safety was verified through the series of structural analyses and testing.

  • 본 연구에서 원추형 집광기와 CPV셀을 기반으로 한 태양광-열(CPV/T) 복합시스템의 설계 및 제작과정을 다룬다. 원추형 집광기의 경우, 이론적 해석을 통하여 최고의 집열효율을 갖는 원추각 45도의 집광기 4개를 결합하여 사용하였다. 원추형 복합시스템은 태양에너지를 집열하여 열에너지를 생산하는 집광기와 작동유체의 순환을 위해 이중 구조로 제작된 흡수기, 집광된 태양으로부터 전기에너지를 생산하는 CPV셀 등으로 구성되어 있다. 효율적인 태양복사열 집광을 위해 태양 위치에 따라 고도각과 방위각을 추적할 수 있는 2축 태양추적장치를 설비하였다. CPV셀은 원추형 집광기의 중심부에 위치한 이중 흡수관의 고집광부인 상단부에 위치하였으며, CPV셀의 결함을 방지하고, 부가적 태양광 집광을 위해 2차 보조 집광기를 부착하였다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 원추형 CPV/T 복합 시스템은 기존 원추형 시스템에 CPV 셀을 부착하여 전기와 열을 동시에 생산 할 수 있으며, 생산된 전기에너지와 열에너지를 이용하여 온실재배의 난방 문제, 운영비용 절약 등 다양하게 농업 분야에 적용가능하다. 특히, 원추형 복합시스템은 설계 및 제작에 있어 쉽고 간결하며, 제작 단가가 낮다는 점에서 보급에 이점이 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Study for Determining Design Allowable Values of Light Weight Composite Unmanned Aircraft Structures (경량 복합재료 무인기 구조물 설계 허용치 설정 방안 연구)

  • The development of effective design allowable values for unmanned composite aircraft is an issue of paramount concern for the industry. The application of conventional manned aircraft structural certification methods to unmanned aircraft such as prototype and technology demonstrators, can lead to excessively long development time and costs. In this paper, the determining method of composite structure design allowable values for light composite unmanned aircraft is presented to reduce to the structural weight. This paper seeks to show the applicability of composite B-basis material values as a design allowable of light composite unmanned aircraft structures. A review of different civil and UAV targets failure probability is given. From the results, the researchers can know that the requirements of light composite unmanned aircraft design allowable should be alleviated, compared to manned composite aircrafts.

  • 최근 공동주택 거주자의 공간변화 욕구에 대응하기 위하여 가변성 평면이 가능한 구조시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 건식벽체 구조시스템, 복합 무량 벽체 구조시스템, 격간벽 시스템 등 구조적으로 안정성이 확보되면서 공간가변성이 뛰어난 구조시스템이 대안으로 제시되었다. 본 연구에서는 격간벽 시스템의 지진해석을 통해 내진성능을 평가하였다. 비선형 정적해석 및 동적해석 결과 격간벽 시스템은 벽식 구조시스템에 비하여 초과강도가 작고, 연성이 다소 감소하지만 FEMA-356에서 정하는 붕괴 방지 수준을 만족하여 충분한 내진성능을 보유한 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this research, we are suggesting intelligent information system fur traveling which is focusing on product bundling and integration of information from various resources on ubiquitous computing environment. It is necessary for products structure to easily integrate according to customers' requirements because traveling product is integrated by various traveling resources like airline, hotel reservation, and so on. To guarantee of traveler's mobility in ubiquitous computing environment, we need product bundling and modification process to configure products and semantic web service which supports ontology based traveling information system to support immediate integrating of traveling information from various resources. In this research, we offer a product bundling and integration of information. It is based on the semantic web service, with several components (single products) to reconfigure a bundle of traveling products.

  • 복합명사는 둘 이상의 말이 결합된 명사를 말하며 문장에서 하나의 단어로 간주된다, 그러나 맞춤법 및 띄어쓰기 검사나 정보검색의 색인어 추출, 기계번역의 미등록어 추정 등의 분야에서는 복합명사를 구성하는 개별 단어를 확인할 필요가 있다. 이 과정을 복합명사 분해라고 한다. 복합명사를 분해하는 방법으로 크게 규칙 기반 방법, 통계 기반 방법 등이 있으며 본 논문에서는 규칙을 기반으로 최소한의 통계 정보를 이용하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문은 4개의 분해 규칙을 적용하여 분해 후보를 생성하고 분해 후보들 중에 우선순위를 정하여 최적 후보를 선택하는 방법을 제안한다. 기본 단어(명사)로 트라이(trie)를 구축하고 구축된 트라이를 이용하여 양방향 최장일치를 적용하고 음절 쌍의 통계정보를 이용해서 모호성을 제거한다. 성능을 평가하기 위해 70,000여 개의 명사 사전과 음절 쌍 통계정보를 구축하였고, 이를 바탕으로 복합명사를 분해하였으며, 분해 정확도는 단어 구성비를 반영하면 96.63%이다. 제안된 복합명사 분해 방법은 최소한의 데이터를 이용하여 복합명사 분해를 수행하였으며 트라이 자료구조를 사용해서 사전의 크기를 줄이고 사전의 검색 속도를 개선하였다. 그 결과로 임베디드 시스템과 같은 소형 기기의 환경에 적합한 복합명사 분해 시스템을 구현할 수 있었다.

  • Since shape, size and distribution of particles in particulate composites have spreaded characteristics, properties of particulate composites have variation and also system behavior using particulate composites have variation. However, it is difficult to consider spreaded characteristic of particles so that a system behavior is analysed using homogeneous techniques or using microstructure in local areas. In this study, for considering random variation of particles, RMDFs(random morphology description functions) are used to generate random microstructure and relationship between the number of gaussian functions and spreaded characteristic of particles was analysed using the geometrical moment of area. Also, multi-scale analysis was carried out for cantilever beam with full-random microstructure to study behavior of particulate composites structure. As a result, it is defined that spreaded characteristic of particles and the variation of deflections of cantilever beam are decreased as the number of Gaussian functions(N) is increased and converges at N=200.

  • A shell structure, having a curvature with a curved surface, is an extremely efficient mechanical creation regard to the external load. A basic structural resistance mechanism is the structural system, which is resisted the out-of-plane direction load by in-plane forces using the structure's curvature. Therefore, it has a merit to make thin and lightweight large spacial structures using minimum materials. Among the large spare structural system, the rapid development of the membrane structures, cable structures and the hybrid structures are watched recently. But, this kind of structural system shows the unstable phenomenon by snap-through or bifurcation according to the shape of structure, and the understanding of the collapse mechanism by this phenomenon is very important to the design process. In this study, I investigated the unstable characteristics of the Geiger-type, Zetlin-type and flower-type hybrid cable dome structures, which is the lightweight hybrid structures using compression and tension elements continuously, according to the difference of structural system.
