Implementation of the Electronic Sensor System for Pedestrian Safety Based on Embedded (임베디드 기반의 보행자 안전을 위한 전자감응시스템 구현)

  • In some cases, despite the pedestrian jaywalking pedestrian traffic lights to red, or even wait for the walk signal to stand down in the driveway. If this is the case may be liable to lead to a traffic accident. Thus, using an infrared sensor wateuna adopted the approach that the warning announcement when a pedestrian enters the driveway, curved pedestrian crossing the intersection in this case, it is difficult to install. In this paper, we propose a Fitness referral system utilizes a built-in sensor of the Android mobile devices. For this purpose, the sensor is a proximity sensor using an acceleration sensor. The proximity sensor has a number of disadvantages compared to the high precision battery power, the acceleration sensor accuracy, fast response time, on the other hand, the disadvantage is the lower. Close to reduce battery consumption of the sensor, BMI of the user sensor control mechanism and increase the accuracy of the acceleration sensor (Body Mass Index) obtained after the index was applied to the recommendation algorithm, which like the movement mechanism.

Walking Accident Characteristics and Walking Factors for Road Crossing of the Transportation Vulnerable in the Case of Yeosu (교통약자의 보행 교통사고 특성과 보행 횡단요소 분석 (여수시를 사례로))

  • The population over 65 years old is 12.7% of total population in 2014 and Korea is going to be an aged society in the near future. The transportation vulnerable including the aged should be guaranteed in walking mobility under safe and comfortable environment for their socio-economic activities. For the era of fusion and convergence this paper investigated the characteristics of walking accidents related to the aged pedestrians and analyzed the aged-oriented walking factors with a reaction time and a walking speed at crosswalks in Yeosu. In the results, the crashes for the aged occur at 9.9% of total crashes and the fatalities of the aged are 40.3% of total fatalities in 2014. The 47.4% of the aged fatalities is also attributed to vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents. The 49.3% of all pedestrian fatalities occurs at the aged pedestrians with a very high proportion. The reaction time and walking speed for the aged were determined as the values located at the lower 15%-tile of the elderly physical ability. It is shown that the reaction time is 4.56 seconds and the walking speed is 0.76 m/s in the case of Yeosu. From two factors' standpoint, the walking environment at crosswalks in Yeosu is inappropriate for the aged.

  • In this study, by utilizing the information fusion of multi sensor data and time within the crosswalk safety Assistive gait secondary to the safety of pedestrians on the system design and system performance verification through support to. Environmental awareness, and time information in addition to leveraging the default behavior for pedestrian safety design of the secondary system performed a study on the scenario and the behavior of a system for fuzzy control was performed for each sensor data processing, median filtering, including filters processing leveraging, and was attached by the time we complete the final algorithm, the system behavior. In addition, taking advantage of the sensor measurements, so basically uncertainties and sensor results, and you want to give at least the reliability of the data fusion experiment equipment using this simple verification.

  • Installation of pedestrian scramble is recently increasing due to pedestrian-oriented transportation policies issued in local governments. Pedestrian scramble is able to emphasize safety issues by reducing conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles when an exclusive pedestrian phase is employed. In spite of its positive property, pedestrian scramble has several negative points: an increase of a cycle length, a decrease of green time ratio, and an increase of total delay. This study delivers the impacts of pedestrian scrambles in terms of pedestrian convenience and traffic mobility. Authors analyzed the changes of traffic delays by comparing the installation and no installation of pedestrian scramble at an intersection by varying several variables: signal timings, traffic volumes, the number of lanes, and the number of pedestrian conflicts. The paper presents an analysis procedure as a guideline that assists practitioners in selection of appropriate intersections at where pedestrian scrambles are implemented.

가로수 유형과 성장을 고려한 야간 도로조명 평가에 관한 연구

  • 가로수는 공원과 더불어 도시지역의 중요 녹지공간으로 도시 이미지를 높이는데 매우 긍정적인 평가요소이며 녹지연결 및 쾌적한 가로공간 창출로 그 가치를 높이고 있다. 또한 가로등은 야간 운전자와 보행자의 안전을 보장하기 위해 중요한 시설물이다. 본 연구는 야간 운전자와 보행자의 안전을 평가하기 위한 조명 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용하여 가로수의 유형과 성장이 조명환경에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 접근법을 제시한다. 가로수와 가로등은 도로 설계에 있어 중요한 요소이지만 상호간에는 각 목적에 배치되는 특징들이 있다. 특히 가로수는 가로등과 같이 고정 시설물의 성격도 있지만 성장과 형태가 다양하다는 특징이 있다. 본 연구는 상호 목적을 최적화할 수 있는 방법을 제시하기 위한 출발점으로 조명 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용하여 가로수의 유형과 성장이 야간 도로 조명에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위한 방법을 제시한다.

  • This research analyzes current pedestrian's safety zone choice standard problem and described about correct standard re-thesis at real. About problem of pedestrian traffic accidents to specific item statistical data to basis ramification of pedestrian traffic accidents, occurrence type of accident, action type etc. synthetically analyze and mark pedestrian's safety zone by countermeasure for decrease of pedestrian traffic accidents and utilize operating domestic outer garment reward and drew domestic Zone30 zone choice standard. Also, because analyzing effect that traffic discharge and speed through on-the-spot probe get in pedestrian thinking, presented quantitative standard, and analyze accident special quality of back pedestrian traffic accidents occurrence number of item and so on do accident type beside quantitative standard, road function, accident latitude and present standard. Specially, take advantage of statistical data of traffic accidents and put emphasis in pedestrian safety. Also, because establishment standard about safety facility establishment of Zone30 zone and systematic thesis of operation way do not consist, standard guide of consistency it is no and does equipment that is established in Zone30 zone because confusion happens by each local unit presented establishment and operation way, and present Zone30 zone.

The Relationship between the Behavioral Characteristics of Elderly and Fatal Pedestrian Accidents (고령보행자의 행동특성과 보행사망사고의 관계)

  • This study examines the characteristics of traffic accidents involving elderly pedestrians by analyzing relevant data vis-à-vis fatal pedestrian accidents and proposes solutions to reduce such accidents. We analyzed 3,853 cases of fatal accidents involving elderly pedestrians and 1,786 cases involving younger pedestrian (these cases reflect accidents that occurred from 2005 to 2008). The results show that accidents involving the elderly occur more frequently in rural areas than urban areas, especially in autumn; this condition applies even in situations where the elderly exhibit compensation behaviors such as walking on safer roads. We found that elderly pedestrians exhibit a defective behavior in crossing roads, especially in complicated road conditions where intersections and turning/reversing vehicles represent a menacing threat. These characteristics could be explained by the degenerated physical/mental ability of the elderly and by psychological factors such as reduced level of self-confidence.

  • 공연과 스포츠 문화의 발전으로 한정된 구역에 불특정 다수의 사람들이 모이는 일이 빈번하게 일어나고 있다. 이에 비례하여 불특정 다수의 압사사고 역시 자주 일어나고 있다. 이러한 압사사고는 인도, 일본, 독일 등 세계 곳곳에서 일어나며, 국내에서도 자주 발생하는 압사사고는 단순히 안전불감증 문제로만 치부되어 특별한 과학적 해석이 행해지지 않는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 압사사고는 보행자의 심리와 물리적 충돌에 의한 힘에 의하여 일어나는 특징을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 집합행동심리를 고려한 이산요소법을 활용하여 과밀상태하의 병목구간에서의 보행자 피난 유동 해석 연구를 진행한다. 연구의 변수로는 출구의 폭, 출구 각도 그리고 보행자의 혼란정도를 나타내는 Panic Factor가 선택되었다.

  • 지능형 영상감시에 대한 연구와 개발이 가속화되면서, 화재감시에 대한 예방 및 경보시스템 또한 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있다. 그러나, 기존시스템은 화재에 대한 감시기능에만 국한되어 있어, 기능으로써의 한계점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기위해, 본 논문에서는 화재와 보행자를 검출하여, 초기대응 및 화재원인에 대한 정보를 제공하며, 보행자에 대한 안전을 최대한 보장할 수 있는 화재현장 보행자 인식을 통한 지능형 영상인식 시스템을 설계하였다.

A Way of Unusual Gait Cognition for Life Safety (생활안전 보장을 위한 보행자의 비정상 걸음 인지 방안)

  • Research on gait recognition and its use is actively underway. This study suggests a method to recognize abnormal gaits of pedestrians. The purposes of the existing research to recognize normal steps are to measure physical activities and to validate people by their walks, but the purpose to recognize abnormal steps in this study is to insure the safe life of pedestrians. There are situations in which pedestrians are unaware of themselves vulnerable and can not ask for help. The purpose of this research is that even if pedestrians are unaware of themselves and there are no spontaneous requests for helps, it is intended for them to escape from dangers and difficulties by adopting the recent IOT technology. Hence, this study analyzes normal pace of pedestrians using the triaxial acceleration sensors, and takes ranges of their normal walking. And then, the steps of pedestrians are measured using the triaxial acceleration sensors, contrasted with their normal walking ranges, and determine whether their steps are normal or not. When it is out of the state for normal paces, a method to determine as abnormal paces is suggested.
