Development of Battery Charger for High Speed Trail Car with ZVZCS soft-switching (소프트스위칭 ZVZCS를 이용한 고속전철 보조전원장치 Battery Charger 개발)

  • 고속전철의 보조 전원 장치는 차량에 탑재되므로 소형화, 경량화 및 고신뢰성이 요구된다. 보조전원 장치중 Battery Charge는 고압의 직류전원(670Vdc)을 저압의 직류전원(83Vdc)으로 변환하여 객차(Trailer Car : 50kW) 및 동력차(Power Car : 10Kw)에 필요한 직류전원을 안정되게 공급하고 Battery Charger의 고장 발생 시를 대비해 Battery의 최적 충전상태를 유지해야 한다. 기술개발의 최종 목표는 고효율, 고신뢰성 밧데리 충전기 시스템 개발, EMI 저감, 부피와 무게의 소형경량화, 최적 스위칭 기술 및 회로 개발이다. IGBT에 대해 소프트 스위칭 기법을 사용하여 스위칭 손실 저감 및 소자의 스트레스의 저감으로 전력 변환 장치의 효율 향상과 소자의 신뢰성을 확보하였고, 스위칭 주파수를 높여 변압기나 인덕터등의 자기 소자의 크기를 줄였다. Battery Charger를 단일 모듈로 구성하기 보다 5kW 모듈을 여러개 조합한 다중모듈방법으로 병렬 운전하므로써 입출력 전류리플룰 감소시켰으며 시스템의 안정성과 신뢰성을 높일 수 있었다.

  • In conventional wind generation systems, since the blade rotates at low speed when the velocity of wind decreases their operations are possible only under limited conditions. Therefore they are in trouble of self-generation without the help of auxiliary generation devices outside. In addition, most of them have very low usage efficiency because of the characteristic changes of wind. For the solution of these problems and for enough generation regardless of districts and geographical features the rotation energy stored in a spring drives a compact generator and then electric power is stored at battery and supplied to the load continuously according to the lack of wind force. In this paper, the fabricated system consisting of a wind generator and power storage apparatus was introduced and its operation characteristics were analyzed.

  • 과거에는 로봇이 노동 대체인력의 산업용으로 사용되어져 왔으나, 현재는 인간 친화형 고부가가치 서비스 지능형 로봇으로 로봇산업의 패러다임이 전환되고 있다. 지능형 로봇의 개발은 저출산 고령화의 부작용인 노동력 감소와 소외 약자에 대한 Care 서비스 수요증대에 크게 해석할 것이다. 이러한 지능형 로봇의 응용 및 활용방안으로 병원에서의 의료용 서비스 로봇시스템 개발이 급증하고 있다. 이러한 의료용 로봇은 수술시 의사를 보조해 절개위치 유도, 절단작업을 수행하는 수술용 로봇과 위장이나 대장 내부를 진단하는 내시경 로봇, 재활치료를 돕는 재활보조로봇 등이 개발되고 있으나, 병원 내에서 신속한 진단 및 진료를 위한 서비스 로봇은 국내에 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 의사가 현장에 없거나 바쁜 상황에서도 환자와 원격으로 진단 진료를 가능하게 함으로써 응급상황에 대한 긴급 조치나, 질 높은 서비스를 제공하는데 큰 도움을 주기 위한 원격 진료용 서비스 로봇을 개발하였다.

  • The APU(Auxiliary Power Unit) needs a set of complex pipeline for the fuel supply system where some of the main valves controlling the flow rate consist of the servo valve worked with a torque motor. The input electric current produces an induced magnetic field almost perpendicular to the background magnetic filed generated by fixed permanent magnets. The induced torque deforms the tubular bushing, and directly rotates an armature, which can open and close the valve. In this study, we start from a basic analytic model using a simple electro-magneto-statics, and expand our model to the three-dimensional one computationally applying a commercial code named COMSOL. The result is compared with each other, and reasonable numerical data are obtained for the dynamic behavior and multi-physics system.

  • The auxiliary power unit (APU) of a rotorcraft starts the engine during operation/flying. The APU is composed of a gas turbine engine type. The starting principle of the component is that the electric start motor generates the power required for starting by rotating the shaft. In this study, quality improvement was performed by applying an over-running clutch (ORC) between the APU and the starter motor to secure the operability of the starter motor of the APU mounted on the rotorcraft. The starter motor has the main role of starting the APU, but during operation, it is rotated without load by the rotational force of the APU gear shaft, resulting in friction at the brush. This phenomenon causes abrasion of the brush of the starter motor. Consequently, when the APU operation time increases, the brush life decreases, and the operability of the APU is affected. In this study, an ORC that separates the interlocking between the start motor brush abrasion and the APU operation time was applied to improve the operability/durability of the APU starter motor. The effect was verified through a test, and the technical feasibility of the design change was analyzed.

  • Electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) system is the power-assisted steering which operates the hydraulic pump by BLDC motors for assisting the steering force. EHPS consists of BLDC motor, gear pump, oil-hydraulic circuit and steering system. Since EHPS is a convergence system consisting of electricity and electronic, hydraulic and mechanical system, it is difficult to establish the simulation model. In this paper, the mathematical model of EHPS system components were presented, and the simulations of the multi-domain system were performed by using AMESim. The trial and error of development would be reduced by using this simulation results, and it would be helpful for developing high-quality EHPS.

  • 지역난방은 한 곳에 집중된 대규모 열원시설에서 경제적으로 생산된 열을 일정한 지역내 아파트, 빌딩, 공공 시설 등에 난방 및 냉방용으로 공급하는 도시 기반시설이다. 또한 지역난방은 개별난방이나 중앙난방의 간헐 난방방식과는 달리 24 시간 연속난방을 하므로써 건강하고 쾌적한 실내온도를 유지시켜 주며, 노후된 보일러 교체비 및 유지 보수가 들지 않고, 난방순환펌프 등 각종 부대시설의 축소로 동력비를 절감할 수 있으며 기존 보일러실을 주민복지 공간으로 활용할 수 있고, 연료탱크와 보조난방기구 등이 필요 없어 재해 발생의 우려가 없다. 본지에서는 한국지역난방공사에서 제공한 자료와 월간 설비기술에 게재된 내용을 요약 정리하여 게재한다.

Model Identification of Refuse Incineration Plants (쓰레기 소각 플랜트의 모델규명)

  • This paper identifies a linear combustion model of Refuse Incineration Plant(RIP) which characterizes its combustion dynamics, where the proposed model has thirteen-inputs and one-output. The structure of the RIP model is given as an ARX model which obtained from the theoretical analysis. And then, some unknown model parameters are decided from experimental input-output data sets, using system identification algorithm based on Instrumental Variables(IV) method. In result, it is shown that the proposed model well approximates the input-output combustion characteristics riven by experimental data sets.

  • This paper presents the control algorithm of active walking aids estimating external torque of the wheels from user's will. Nowadays, interest of the walking aids is increased according to the increase in population of elder and handicapped person. Although many walking aids are developed, most of walking aids don't have any actuators for its movement. However, general walking aids have weakness for its movement to upward/download direction of slope. To overcome the weakness of the general walking aids, many researches for active type walking aids are being progressed. Unfortunately it is difficult to precision control of walking will during its movement, because it is not easy to recognize user's walking will. Many kinds of methods are proposed to recognize of user's walking will. In this paper, we propose control algorithm of walking aids by using torque estimation from wheels. First, we measure wheel velocity and voltage at the walking aids. From these data, external forces are extracted. And then walking will that is included by walking velocity and direction is estimated. Finally, walking aids are controlled by these data. Here, all the processes are verified by simulation.
