A Study on Algorithm for Materials Take-off Using Pothole Detection System (포트홀 감지 시스템을 이용한 보수재료량 산출 알고리즘 개발)

  • Various type of pavement deterioration such as crack, bumpy, pothole is rapidly increasing according to the accelerated environmental changes like heavy rainfall, frequent snowing, difference temperature, etc. Accident related to pothole that cause fatal traffic accidents has been increased more than five times over the next five years starting from 2008. As direct or indirect damage by pothole which caused injuries and car damages increases every year, quicker and more efficient management measures are necessary. This study presents the algorithm for materials quantity take-off. The algorithm was suggested by correlation in pothole size and area. Suggested algorithm were confirmed the validity through the 15 field survey in capital area. According to the results of survey, usually the residual materials at which 5~7 kg was generated decreased to 1~2 kg. It showed that automatic pothole detection system is expected not only to reduce materials and resources, but also to contribute to quality improvements of pavement through more accurate material take-off from the situation of constructing rely on their own judgement.

Effects of pH, Temperature, and Protein Content on Water Binding Capacity of Hog Plasma Protein (pH, 온도, 단백질함량에 따른 돼지혈장 단백질의 보수력 변화)

  • The water binding capacity (WBC) of hoe plasma protein was investigated. The centrifugal condition for optimal separation of plasma from hog blood was fixed at 1400 g-force. The WBC of 5%-plasma-protein-solution eel increased rapidly between pH 6 and 7 but gradually after pH 7 at $85^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. The higher heating temperature demonstrated the higher WBC of 5%-plasma-protein-solution gel at pH 7 within short period of time. The WBC of 5%-plasma-protein-solution gel increased rapidly at the beginning of heating. The WBC per gram of plasma protein at pH 7 and $85^{\circ}C$ for 30 min decreased as protein concentration of the plasma solution increased.

  • The future costs of energy and the cost of the repair of apartment buildings are expected to rise continuously in proportion to the initial costs. Therefore it has become important for these increasing costs to be incorporated and reflected in the design of the building. Systems such as structure and services for the buildings remain constant, but a number of the walls and windows can vary and thus have a major influence on the total construction and running costs of a building. The critical factor in the apartment unit design for the optimization of life cycle cost (LCC) is the ratio of the x and y axis of the walls in the unit plan. This paper demonstrates how to achieve the optimal size and thus optimize the LCC of the building.

Empirical Analyses of the Effect of DSM on Peak Time Power Demand in Korea (하절기 최대 전력수요 저감 프로그램의 효과)

  • In this paper, we estimate the effects of the two most important means of summer time demand side management in Korean power market: adjustment of vacation or repair timing and the voluntary saving program. We use regression analyses to estimate how effective these two programs are in reducing the peak time demand during the summer. Our results show that adjustment of vacation or repair timing actually reduces the daily peak demand by 0.53 kWh per one kWh reported reduction calculated from the agreements between Kepco and the users. The voluntary saving program reduces the daily peak by 0.57 kWh per one kWh reported reduction calculated from the agreements between Kepco and the users. However, when we include these two effects in the same regression model, their respective estimated effects become much weaker.

  • This Study analysis two features of social citizenship in the period of rights revolution. Discousive arguments are derived from different reinterpretations of social citizenship of Marshall. Some insist that main idea of welfare state is rights of social citizenship and the other insist that social rights is realized after doing duty. Especially the latter emphasis work obligation in which individual responsibility and duty, these discussion underlie wokrfare policy. This reserch examine two contrary discourses based on Marshall's theory, and make a close inquiry into correct interpretation about Marshall. New rights, the Conservative party and New Labour seek for ground on Marshall's citizenship theory, but these are distortion on it. Marshall insisted that citizenship constituted rights and duties but he claimed that discharge of a duty isn't precondition of the exercise of the right.

A Study of the Prevent Measure by Case Analysis of Apartment Building Defect Lawsuit (공동주택 하자소송 사례분석을 통한 분쟁방지 대책에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed the major issues of 24 defect litigation precedents before and after 2013, based on 2013, when defect litigation in relation to the rapidly increasing defect disputes in apartment houses. The amount of defect removal per household is 2,572 thousand won per household, which is about 5% less than before 2013 from 2013, but the judgment amount per household has rather increased by about 19%, showing 1,916 thousand won per household after 2013. By type of construction, defects on cracks accounted for the largest proportion before and after 2013. Before 2013, equipment, tiles, and windows appeared in the order, and after 2013, landscaping, tiles, insulation and window work were in the order. In order to prevent such defect disputes, efforts to prevent defect disputes will be needed in the design stage, construction stage, and maintenance stage.

  • 도시에 매설된 상수관망의 노후화와 매설된 주변 환경의 변화로 관 보수와 파괴가 자주 발생하게 된다. 이때 보수 또는 교체를 위하여 상수관망의 일부를 격리하여야 하며 이를 위해서 제수밸브를 차폐해야 한다. 그러나 제수밸브가 격리하고자 하는 영역 주변에 적절히 배치되어 있지 않은 경우 필요한 부분보다 많은 영역이 격리되게 되며, 이는 격리로 인한 피해범위를 증가시키게 된다. 이와 함께 적절치 못한 제수밸브 관리로 인해 제수밸브가 차폐되지 않는 경우 해당 제수밸브 주변에 위치한 제수밸브를 추가로 차폐해야 하는 경우가 발생하게 되며 추가적인 상수관의 격리로 인하여 처음의 상수관 격리에 의한 피해를 증가시키는 결과를 야기한다. 이러한 문제는 제수밸브의 효율적 배치로 감소할 수 있으나 효율적 배치를 위한 선행과제로 현재 설치되어 있는 제수밸브 배치의 적정성을 평가하는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 상수관 격리와 제수밸브가 차폐되지 않는 경우를 동시에 고려한 모의방법(simulation)을 제안하였다. 상수관망 전체 대한 상수관 파괴당 평균적인 단수인구로 제수밸브의 적정 분포를 정량화하여 다양한 제수밸브 분포사이의 적정성을 비교할 수게 하였다. 이러한 비교를 바탕으로 새로운 상수관망에서 효율적인 제수밸브 분포가 가능하며 기존 상수관망에 제수밸브를 추가할 경우에도 유용한 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

Re-examining the Effects of Partisan Politics on Welfare Expenditures in Korean Local Governments (지방정부 복지지출에 미치는 정치요인의 영향 재고찰)

  • Responsible government can be achieved when social cleavages are institutionalized via political competition and social interests are represented by responsible parties. This paper aims to investigate the factors that determine welfare expenditures in Korean local governments by analyzing partisanship and political competition factors simultaneously in the same model. This paper also argues that the relationship between the political factors and welfare expenditures in local governments is not linearly increasing as the previous studies claim. This paper examines the welfare expenditures in Korean municipality-level local governments in 2007, 2011, and 2015. The primary findings are: 1) the partisanship of the head of local government and the party distribution of local assembly members have meaningful effect on the welfare expenditures and the divided governments do not show significantly different effect on welfare expenditures from unified governments, which is contrary to the extant studies, 2) the partisan effects of the head and the local assembly vary according to the levels of municipalities (Gu, Gun, and city), mainly due to the difference in types of revenues and expenditures and 3) the relationship between seats shares of progressive parties in local assembly and the welfare expenditure is not linearly increasing one. The effect of seats shares of progressive parties dramatically begins to increase when the seats shares are in 40%-60%. With these findings, this paper highlights the conservative nature of head of local governments with Hannara party (or Saenuri Party), the conservative leaning of independent candidates, and the conservative orientation of local assemblies in the regions dominated by Democratic Party (and its equivalents).

Current Working Conditions for the Teachers in Child Care (보육교사의 처우 현황과 개선방안 : 보수 체계를 중심으로)

  • This study has been carried out to suggest an improvement measure by analysing the current situation of the working condition for the teachers in child care. For this, governmental policy and law and relevant references in relation to the working conditions for the teachers have been collected for analysis. On the basis of the research, in order to improve the working condition for the teachers the following suggestions have been made: provision of salary system considered the level of qualification criteria and academic certificate, carrying out a raise in pay according to the salary class, requirement of written indication of a provision of allowance, increase of the initial salary for the principal of nurseries, observance of legislation for payment of excess duty allowance, elucidation of legislation for the salary of the teacher in unsupported nurseries and settlement of ratio of supporting personnel expenses from government.

The Effect of Various Humectants on Equilibrium Moisture Content and Storage Stability of Seasoned Squid (여러가지 보습제가 조미오징어 평형수분함량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was, firstly, to investigate water holding capacity in terms of variation of moisture sorption isotherms of seasoned squid treated with sodium lactate, glycerol, propylene glycol, sorbitol, mannitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and calcium propionate, and secondly, the effect of humectant treatments on storage stability was studied. The criteria for storage stability was based on three quality factors, namely, lipid oxiations, color development by non-enzymatic browning reactions and lipid oxidation, and mold growth. The effect of humectants on equilibrium moisture content was in the following increasing order; mannitol < sorbitol < sodium lactate < propylene glycol < glycerol. The experimental data indicated that sodium lactate has, in practice, potentially positive effect on processing of seasoned squid. During the storage period of 60 days, TBA values increased in all samples tested as humectants concentrations increased up to 10%. However, in the range of 1-7% sodium lactate treatment, the degree of lipid oxidation, browning reactions and mild growth were not high enough to affect the quality of seasoned squid, when compared with conventionally manufactured ones.
