대한산업보건협회는 유방 건강에 대한 정보와 유방암에 대한 인식을 높이기 위해 마련된 핑크런 마라톤대회에 올해부터 동참하고 있다. 임직원들은 노사가 함께하는 사회공헌활동으로 기부문화의 정착을 위해 자발적으로 참여하고 있으며, 암진단을 받은 직원들이 치료에만 전념할 수 있도록 복지에도 앞장서 큰 의미를 더하고 있다.

희망은 아주 작은 것에서 비롯된다. 추위에 떨고 있을 때 누군가가 건넨 따뜻한 캔 커피 하나, 무거운 짐을 함께 들어주는 고마운 손길에서 희망과 의욕이 피어나기도 한다. 희망과 온기의 힘을 누구보다 잘 아는 대한산업보건협회(이하 협회)가 지난 6월 10일 어려운 이웃에게 사랑을 전하는 사회공헌활동을 펼쳤다. 그 현장 속을 찾아가 보았다.

Objectives: 이 논문의 목적은 한 사업장에서 수십 년 동안 진행된 소음감소계획이 실제적이고, 경제적인 것을 증명하고 이를 바탕으로 소음의 공학적 개선방법과 효과적인 실행을 위한 실제 작동 가능한 모델을 제시하는 것이다. Methods: 1967년도에 설립된 다국적 전자회사에서 1987년부터 2002년까지 실행된 각종 소음 감소 노력, 요소, 프로그램을 분석하고 이 기간 동안 소음감소가 어떻게 실제로 일어났는지 분석하였다. 특히 회사가 다른 여러 가지 노력을 한 후에도 실질적 효과를 기대하기 어려워 공학적 개선과 같이 도입한 Action Learning Team (ALT) 활동에 초점을 두고 개선 효과를 파악하였다. Results: 실제 소음의 감소노력은 산업안전보건법의 변화에 따라 여러 가지 형태로 실행되었다. 주된 효과는 ALT활동이 있고 나서 이루어졌는데 평균 소음 노출수준이 86.9 dBA에서 79.8 dBA로 현저히 감소하였으며 소음 지역 (85dBA 이상 )도 10개 지역에서 3개 지역으로 70% 감소하였다. ALT 활동의 결과로 나타난 7개 지역의 소음 감소를 위해 투입된 총 비용이 6,767 달러였다. ALT 활동을 처음 시작한 첫해에 소음 감소지역을 줄임으로써 이 지역의 근로자가 청력검사를 받지 않아서 초기 396명의 근로자가 청력검사를 받던 것을 활동 후 130명만 받아 266명의 근로자가 청력검사를 받지 않아도 되어 청력검사 비용이 6,650 달러 절약되었다. 따라서 장기간으로 보면 매우 비용효과적인 방법으로 증명되었다. Conclusions: 실제 소음감소가 현저히 일어나고, 비용효과적인 소음 감소가 일어나려면 기기 설비 공정담당자가 소음감소의 중요성을 잘 알고, 그 기법을 숙지하고 있어야 하며, 실제 활동을 할 수 있도록 관리자 층의 권한을 위임 받아 활동할 수 있어야 한다. 이 논문에서는 공학적 개선 태스크포스팀을 운영하여 ALT활동을 하였을 때 실제적이고, 비용효과적인 소음 감소를 증명하였다.

Purpose: Suggests measures to improve the construction company's safety management system according to the enforcement of the Severe Accident Punishment Act. Method: The effectiveness of practice-oriented disaster prevention activities was analyzed through safety and health diagnosis of the level of safety and health management system for the countermeasures against the Severe Accident Punishment Act implemented at the construction site and headquarters. Result: The effect of reducing the accident rate and the advancement of the safety and health management system were analyzed by linking the Severe Accident Punishment Act with the safety and health management system, and a plan to improve the safety and health management system was presented through the analysis of the comprehensive results of safety activities before and after the implementation of the Severe Accident Punishment Act. Conclusion: The effect of practical performance measurement was manifested through the improvement of business owners' awareness, the expansion of investment for disaster prevention, and the quantification of disaster prevention activities according to the enforcement of the Severe Accident Punishment Act.

This study aims to develop the case management activities inventory relevant to community-based mental health settings. The comprehensive literature review was conducted to define the concepts and activities for the case management process. After the content analysis from the professional scholar and the mental health-related worker, 83 items were constructed. A survey was conducted to 265 case managers in community mental health centers. Through exploratory factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, finally 8 factors and 43 items were identified.

Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between safety and health activities of clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 208 dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggido, and Incheon from May 9 to June 30, 2016. The study was approved by institutional review board (IRB). The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (9 items) and safety activities (15 items), and health activities (17 items) by Likert 5 point scale. Except two incomplete answers, data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program. Results: The mean of safety activities and health activities was 3.04 and 3.55, respectively. A significant difference was shown in staff safety, facility safety, environmental safety, infection control, and dental technique control (p<0.001). Conclusions: A significant association was shown in safety and health activities of clinical dental hygienists. It is necessary to promote the safety and health activities for the clinical dental hygienists.

Objectives: This study aims to examine the general characteristics and physical activity characteristics of young and middle-aged individuals with hypertension, with the goal of identifying key influencing factors and providing public health policy recommendations. Methods: Participants in this study used data from the 2021 Community Health Survey. The study participants include 5,511 individuals diagnosed with hypertension in the young and middle-aged group (aged 19 to 49). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. Results: Model 1 is the influencing factors of young and middle-aged hypertensive patients according to general characteristics. The explanatory power is R²= .065. The influencing factors are as follows. Economic activity (𝛽= -.219, p<.001), breakfast per week (𝛽= .117, p<.001), gender (𝛽= .090, p<.001), subjective health status (𝛽= .073, p<.001), and education level (𝛽= .069, p<.001). Model 2 is the influencing factors of young and middle-aged hypertensive patients, including physical activity characteristics. The explanatory power is R²= .076. The influencing factors are as follows. Strength exercises (𝛽= -4.791, p<.001), the walking activity (𝛽= -2.694, p<.01), and the high-intensity physical activity (𝛽= -2.629, p<.01). Conclusion: The active management of young and middle-aged hypertension is essential to prevent progression to serious disease. To prevent hypertension in young and middle-aged people, health education is needed to develop and utilize health promotion programs that take into account general characteristics and physical activity characteristics.

건설공사를 발주하는 공공기관은 대표이사 직속의 안전전담부서를 구성하고 있으나 순환보직 형태로 인력을 배치하여 안전보건에 관한 전문 지식이 부족하며, 여러 부서에서 안전관리 기준을 제정하거나 활동을하여 안전관리 체계에 혼선을 주고 있다. 또한 관리감독자들은 회사의 안전관리 기준을 제대로 인식하지 못하여 안전관리 활동이 원활하게 이루어지지 않고 있다. 건설공사를 발주하는 공공기관의 안전관리 활동수준을 향상하기 위해서는 안전관리 조직, 안전관리 체계, 위험성평가에 대한 개선의 노력이 필요하다.
