Shear Behaviour of RC Beams Strengthened by Multi directional channel-type FRP Plate (다방향 채널형 FRP판으로 보강된 철근콘크리트 보의 전단거동)

  • The aim of this paper is to clarify the shear behavior of RC beams strengthened with channel-type Fiber Reinforced Polymer(FRP) plates. Fourteen RC beams were specifically designed. All the beams were tested under four point bending and extensively instrumented to monitor strains, cracking, load capacity and failure modes. The structural response of all beams is then critically analyzed in terms of deformability, strength and failure processes. It is shown that with channel-type Fiber Reinforced Polymer(FRP) plates, a brittle debonding failure of beams bonding FRP in the concrete surface can be transformed to an almost ductile failure with well-defined enhancement of structural performance in terms of both deformation and strength.

  • An investigation on the structural behavior of cold-formed steel lipped C-section stud for interior walls or partitions was carried out. This experimental research was carried out to study the ultimate and service load capacity of stud assemblies that are subjected to lateral loads. Each test specimen consisted of three or four lipped C-section studs and two C-section tracks that restrained both ends. The major factors considered in this experiment were the perforation on the web, the connection of the bridge channel and the special clip. The effect of the plaster board and the ply wood, which were attached to the tension flange on the flexural strength, was also investigated. Thereafter, the test strength capacities were compared with the nominal strength, based on the AISI Specifications (1996).

  • The aim of this paper is to clarify the structural performance of RC beams strengthened with Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer(CFRP) plates using channel-type anchorage system. Twelve RC beams were specifically designed without and with a channel-type anchorage system, which was carefully detailed to enhance the benefits of the strengthening plates. All the twelve beams were identical in terms of their geometry but varied in their internal reinforcement, concrete strength. All the beams were tested under four point bending and extensively instrumented to monitor strains, cracking, load capacity and failure modes. The structural response of all the twelve beams is then critically analyzed in terms of deformability, strength and failure processes. It is shown that with a channel-type anchorage system, a brittle debonding failure of a strengthened beam can be transformed to an almost ductile failure with well-defined enhancement of structural performance in terms of both deformation and strength.

  • In this paper, a synchronous reverse link DS-CDMA system with cdma2000 standard is simulated to analyze performance of system and to find the optimum power ratio between pilot channel and traffic channel. In the cdma2000 the pilot channel is used to estimate fading channel, in contract to IS-95 and it compensates phase variation of received signal due to channel environment. When the length of channel estimation is 31pcg symbols, we can find the optimum power ratio of pilot channel to traffic channel. And also we find Eb/No satisfying target FER when the power control is applied and analyze performance of system with multiuser transmission.

Stability of Cantilevered Laminated Composite Structures with Open Channel Section by Geometrical Shape Variations (채널단면의 기하학적 형상변화에 따른 캔틸레버 적층구조물의 안정성 연구)

  • In this paper, the stability of cantilever composite laminated structures with open channel section is studied. This paper deals with the buckling behavior under the variation of the geometrical shape (length ratio, crank angle in the open channel section), the fiber reinforced angle, and so on in order to offer a effective and reliable design data. Also, sensitive analyses are carried out on the stability by the interaction of design factors. Based on this fact, the proper channel section and lamination scheme of composite material cantilever structures are considered in the engineering aspect.

Experimental Study on Buckling Restrained Knee Bracing Systems Using Bolted Channel Sections (볼팅 고정 채널 형강 보강재를 이용한 비좌굴 Knee Bracing System의 내진성능에 대한 실험 연구)

  • In this study, the seismic performance of the Buckling Restrained Knee Bracing (BRKB) system was evaluated through a pin-connected 1-bay 1-story frame. The BRKB system using a bolted channel section developed was composed of a steel plate as a load-resisting core member and two channel sections as a restrainment of the local and global buckling of the core plate. The main purpose of the BRKB system is to be used as an effective tool to re-strengthen/rehabilitate old low- and mid-rise RC frame buildings, which do not have enough seismic resistance to earthquake loadings. The main variables for the test specimens were the size of the core plates, stiffeners and the use of guide plates. The test results showed that the size of the core plate, which was the main element for the load-resisting member, was the most important parameter to achieve ductile behavior under tension as well as compression, until the maximum displacement exceed twice the design drift limit given by the AISC Seismic Provisions.

  • Various kinds of shear connector such as headed stud, channel, perforated steel plate and others are commonly used to transfer stress and present composite performance in composite structures, and many researches have been conducted to improve the characteristics of different types of shear connectors. It is focused in this study on the bending performance of steel pipe pile cap with the open type perforated shear connector for the composite connection to the spread footing. Nonlinear analysis was conducted, using ABAQUS, a finite element analysis program, to obtain information for determining the characteristics of the structure and to allow various parametric analysis for bending performance of steel pipe pile cap with the open perforated shear connector.

  • 플라스틱의 사출성형중 용용 수지에 가스를 주입하는 가스사출성형(Gas Assisted Injection Molding GAIM)에 의해 성형품을 만드는 생산방법은 약 30년 전부터 유럽지역을 중심으로 시작되었다 GAIN의 개발 배경은 발포성형을 대체하기 위한 공법으로 개발되었다. 발포성형은 싱크마크(sink mark) 제거, 치수안정성, 강도보강의 목적으로 사용하는 공법이지만, 가스기포가 표면으로 빠져나오고 표면에 가스 기포가 발생하여 외관부품에 부적당하며, 두께가 5-6mm이하의 성형품에는 적용할 수 없고, 성형시간이 긴 문제점을 가지고 있어 이러한 문제를 보강한 공법을 연구할 결과로 GAIM이 탄생하게 되었다.(중략)

초고속 위성망을 위한 ATM 전송기술의 동향

  • 초고속정보통신망의 구축이 효율적이고 신뢰성 있는 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 위성/지상망을 통합한 혼합망 구조로 개발됨에 따라 지상 광파이버를 기반으로 개발된 ATM 전송프로토콜을 위성망에 직접적으로 적용하기 위한 기술개발이 요구된다. 이러한 점을 고려하여 본 고에서는 위성 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 전송에 따른 문제점 분석, 개선방안 및 성능평가를 수행하였다. 혼합망 구성에 따른 위성망의 구조를 접속된 지상노드의 유형 및 위성시스템 특성에 따라 3가지 유형으로 분류하여 제시하였고, 위성 ATM 전송에 따른 기술적인 문제점을 채널 BER과 위성지연 측면으로 분류하여 제시하였다. 위성채널 BER 성능개선을 위한 2가지 방안(인터리빙, HEC 보강)을 제시하였으며 위성지연분석은 고정지연(Fixed delay)과 셀지연변이(CDV : Cell Delay Variation) 측면에서 성능평가를 수행하였다.
