  • Objectives To evaluate the effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy (CMT) for postpartum hypogalactia. Methods Using nine electronic databases, we selected 13 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that applied CMT for postpartum hypogalactia and conducted a meta-analysis. The risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Results Meta-analysis showed statistically significant results for CMT in terms of effective rate and breast filling degree compared to the other treatment groups (p<0.05). Conclusions Our study showed clinical evidence of CMT efficacy for postpartum hypogalactia. Further studies are required to support our findings.

  • Sonography with a high-frequency transducer is the modality of choice for imaging the scrotum. Most intratesticular lesions are hypoechoic. Differentiation of intratesticular hypoechoic lesions as either malignant or benign is important because the treatment of these lesions vary. In this paper, we review the sonographic features of different types of intratesticular hypoechoic lesions, such as testicular cysts, testicular tumors, testicular inflammatory lesions, segmental testicular infarction, and testicular trauma.

  • Common carotid artery (CCA) rupture during parathyroid cancer surgery is extremely rare and is generally life-threatening. We present a case of successful management of a ruptured CCA following the emergency placement of stent-graft in a 59-year-old male diagnosed with recurrent parathyroid cancer. During recurrent parathyroid cancer surgery, his right CCA ruptured unexpectedly, and his vital signs deteriorated rapidly despite surgical management. After stent replacement, his unstable vital signs improved and, thereafter, he was discharged without any complications.

  • The gallbladder (GB) is a rare site of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) metastasis. To the best of our knowledge, only a few reports of CT findings of GB metastasis exist in the literature. Herein, we report a case of histologically proven GB metastasis of RCC in a 55-year-old male who underwent CT for an intraluminal polypoid mass simulating a primary GB lesion.

  • Pulmonary adenofibroma is a rare tumor, with a few reported cases in the literature. Radiologically, the lesion appears as a solitary pulmonary nodule in most cases, and the multiplicity of this disease entity is extremely rare. We present an unusual case of pulmonary adenofibroma in a 71-year-old woman manifested as two nodules in different lobes of the lung on CT. Histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations are needed to establish the definitive diagnosis of pulmonary adenofibroma.

  • Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (HOA) is a syndrome characterized by digital clubbing, periosteal bone formation, and synovial effusions. Secondary HOA is associated with intrathoracic malignancy in most cases; however, in rare cases, HOA can be caused by extrathoracic conditions. We report early ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and bone scintigraphy findings of HOA in a patient with breast cancer. Its ambiguous clinical and imaging findings that mimicked malignant conditions are particularly interesting and informative.

  • Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is an immune-mediated demyelinating polyneuropathy characterized by progressive, ascending, and symmetrical paralysis. It is known to be triggered by an antecedent infection or vaccination. Recently, GBS development following coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination has been reported. Cranial neuropathies in typical GBS patients usually involve the facial and the lower cranial nerves (from IX to XII). We report a rare case of multiple cranial neuropathies involving trigeminal, abducens, and facial nerves in a patient who developed GBS following COVID-19 vaccination on the basis of obvious MRI features.

  • Interventricular membranous septal aneurysms are rare. Since these aneurysms can lead to complications such as obstruction of right ventricular outflow and thromboembolism, the detection of this aneurysm has clinical significance. Herein, we report a case of an interventricular membranous septal aneurysm with an internal thrombus thought to be the cause of a cerebral infarction.

  • Postoperative colorectal imaging studies play an important role in the detection of surgical complications and disease recurrence. In this pictorial essay, we briefly describe methods of surgery, imaging findings of their early and late complications, and postsurgical recurrence of cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.

  • We present a case of iatrogenic iliac vein rupture with venous thrombosis during total hip arthroplasty that was endovascularly treated with the insertion of covered and uncovered stents, aspiration, and balloon maceration of the thrombus. We describe in detail, with a schematic diagram, an endovascular treatment method that can be performed under local anesthesia alone and explain how to overcome the situation when the diameter of the covered stent is inadequate to cover the iliac vein.
