An effect of the shape of cutting blade on cutting resistance of rice stalk (콤바인 예취날의 형상이 볏짚절단저항에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is performed in order to provide the basic information needed for the development of cutting blade for combine. By comparing the developed cutting blade of which were made groove of the surface with the common cutting blade. Friction force and cutting resistance by the cutter bar speed ratio and moisture content of rice stalk were shown as follows: 1. The friction force of the developed cutting blade is shown at the average value $0.12kg{\cdot}m$ as 25% lower than one of the common blade at the average value $0.16kg{\cdot}m$. 2. The cutting resistance of the developed cutting blade is shown as respectively 12%, 15% and 20% lower than one of the common blade at the moisture content of rice stalk of 14.2%, 55.3% and 84.2%. 3. The cutting resistance of cutting blade by two different driving types is shown that the one by double driving type is $0.2kg{\cdot}m$, and the one by single driving type is $0.24kg{\cdot}m$. 4. Optimum cutter bar speed ratio of cutting blade is shown as different according to the moisture content of rice stalk.

  • Under the quickly changing health care environment in our society competitions among hospitals are getting harder and accordingly the hospital authorities do their best efforts to renovate their hospital management and let directors of food and nutrition services in hospital be seeking the drastic changes in their clinic-support operations. To attain this end it is essential to build an information system in food and nutrition services in hospital for practicing those operational changes efficiently. By building an information system we can totally manage a number of information about hospital food and nutrition services. This kind of information system can not only relieve dieticians and food-service workers from their repetitively routine jobs, but also connect with hospital management information systems organically. Resultantly productivity in this service area can be improved and the efficiency of hospital management will be increased. And accordingly the competitive advantage of the hospital can be greater than ever and that brings patients' and hospital employees' satisfaction. I would like to name this kind of information system for hospital food and nutrition services "TASTY", abbreviated from "Time-based Advanced Service Technology for Yong-Dong Severance Hospital, Nutrition Department" There are one basic information management area and five business management areas in TASTY. Five specific business areas are divided by menu, procurement, clinical nutrition service, production(including distribution and meal service), and financial management.inancial management.

The effect of community based participatory obesity management program in obese school children (학령기 비만아동을 위한 지역사회 참여형 비만관리 프로그램의 효과)

  • The aim of this study was to develop a community based participatory obesity control program and measure the effects of the program on obesity, exercise habit, eating habit and life habits among obese elementary school children. The community based participatory obesity control program was provided for the experimental group of $4^{th}$ grade elementary school students for 10 weeks. The program included obesity related health educations and counseling once a week, jump rope classes twice a week and folk game classes held once a week. Method: There were 24 students with obesity in the experimental and 27 in the control groups. The collected data were analyzed by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, ${\chi}^2$-test, independent t-test and repeated measure ANOVA. Results: After 10weeks of participation in the program, the experimental group showed significantly lower Body Mass Index (p<.001) and waist hip ratio (p=.036), significantly higher exercise habit (p=.004), eating habit (p=.003) and life habit (p=.001) than those in the control group. Conclusion: This study provides evidence that community based participatory obesity management program is effective nursing intervention for managing child obesity.

A Study on the Change of the Adsorption Process of VOCs in the Materials Prepared from the Intercalation Reaction (층간 삽입반응으로 얻어진 화합물을 이용한 휘발성 유기화합물의 흡착과정 변화에 대한 연구)

  • The potential use of modified clays in the adsorption of vapor phase benzene and toluene was investigated. The modified clays OC-CPC, IOC, and Al-PILC were prepared for comparative purposes and were characterized using infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and X-ray diffraction. It was confirmed the intercalation of the aluminium pillar in IOC and Al-PILC, as well as the introduction of cetylpyridinium. The adsorption studies showed a great affinity of benzene and toluene for OC-CPC due to the hydrophobic character that resulted and also to the increase in the interlaminar distance. IOC showed a lower affinity for the benzene and toluene, followed by Al-PILC. Natual clay had no affinity for benzene and toluene due to its hydrophilic nature. Clay materials having a laminar structure can be chemically modified, changing their physiochemical characteristics, such as interlaminar distance, surface area, pore size, and chemical affinity. In this study, it was focused on obtaining modified clays to be used for the adsorption of volatile organic chemicals.

Effect of Immediate Dynamic Balance Ability of Chronic Low Back Pain on Maitland's Manual Therapy (메이트란드 도수치료가 만성 요통환자의 즉각적인 동적 균형능력에 미치는 영향)

  • There has been a diversity of therapeutic interventions for patients with chronic low back pain. However most of them have been focused on only pain. But the patients usually have a kind of structurally abnormal have fixed in lumbar vertebrae, which can decrease range of joint movement and, what is worse, reduce immediate dynamic balancing ability(IDBA). The reduced IDBA can increase the risk of injury and decrease coping ability in dangerous situation. So we introduced Maitland's manual therapy in this study in order to recover the IDBA in patients with chronic low back pain. Sixty-four patients diagnosed with chronic low back pain were included for the study. Among them, thirty-two patients(experimental group) were managed by Maitland's manual therapy, another thirty-tow patients(control group) were treated by physical science methods(H/P, TENS, U/S). Each group made use of highly reliable(0.81$\sim$0.96) star excursion balance test(SEBT) to compare the possible changes of IDBAs in two groups after treatment. In experimental group, IDBA has increased in forward, rightward, leftward, and backward, but in control group, not changed. According to the results, we concluded that Maitland's manual therapy is effective for increasing IDBA by making joints more flexible in lumbar vertebrae.

  • Transaction between industrial suppliers and their buyers in business markets increasingly take place in the form of long-tenn business relationships. These relationships are governed through formal or informal agreements. Dynamic business markets are also forcing B2B marketers to create flexibility in their firms. However, buyers are bound in their rationality and find it impossible to contemplate all possible future contingencies. The more formal and detailed the contracts they conclude, the likelier it becomes that at least one buyer is going to perceive a need to adjust the initial agreement as environmental events unfold. In this case, the actor relies upon industrial supplier's competence. Our study purpose is to examine the consequences of supplier's competence on the industrial customer-supplier long-tenn relationship. Antecedent variables of supplier competence include R&D, flexibility, brand asset, market sensing, and customer support service. We presented a comprehensive constructive model consisting of components of supplier's competence and the antecedent factors. Research hypotheses were developed and data were gathered from respondents who work in the cosmetics industry. The results discussed here represent a first step towards a better understanding of the role of supplier competence in the B-to-B cosmetics industry. Managerial implications and the limitations of this research were also discussed.

  • For the property right's protection of the nation, the uncertainty's dissolution and the reliability's security of real estate trade are very important. With the life style's change, the market of real estate becomes diversification, and the level of the real estate trade becomes diversification. But compared with this, the trade system of the real estate has not broken away from the mode in the past yet. To cope with it actively, it needs to review the real estate trade form. Especially, it needs to investigate a plan that can advance the Agency Listing method. The Exclusive Agency Listing and the real estate Information Network System have been the usual system in some advanced countries like America, Japan. It is the system that establishes the real estate brokerage's trade order and encourages the execution for the real estate client's property right's protection and benefit offer. In our country, The Exclusive Agency Listing and the real estate Information Network System were created in the revised real estate brokerage law in 12, 1993. But because of varies of questions, it can not be settled down. So this paper will develop the characteristic factors of the Exclusive Agency Listing and the real estate Information Network System revitalization and examine the mutual relation depends on the factors. And these factors were studied through the proved analysis to the effecting made on the Agency function's consideration and real estate broker' trust and customer satisfaction. So depends on these, the existed value now will present the revitalization plan and political implication about the Exclusive Agency Listing and the real estate Information Network System.

Effects of Electrical Stimulation on Ultrastructure of Plaice, Paralichthys olivaceus Muscle and Sarcoplasmic Reticulum (넙치 근육 및 근소포체 미세구조의 변화에 미치는 전기자극의 영향)

  • Electron micrographs of muscle of plaice killed instantly by spiking at the head clearly showed the A-band, I-band, Z-line and M-line in muscle strips, whereas these bands could not be distinguished from each other in electrically stimulated plaice muscle strips. As the electrical stimulation time increased, the continuity of Z-line disrupted rapidly. Electron microscopic observation showed that sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) in unstimulated plaice had natural triad structures between Z-line. However these structures were disrupted in the electrically stimulated sample. These structures were clearly observed after storage for 10 hrs at $5^{\circ}C$ from all the samples. In association with the $Ca^{2+}$ translocation, $Ca^{2+}$-pyroantimonate deposits were observed at the inner part of SR immediately after spiked the plaice, However, $Ca^{2+}$-pyroantimonate deposits in electrically stimulated plaices were observed in the muscle strips and this phenomenon was clearly observed when electrical stimulation was prolonged.

Fatty Acid Composition of Concentrated Phytoplanktons by Cold Storage and Their Effects on the Larval Survival of Pacific Oyster, Crassostrea gigas (냉장보관된 농축 먹이생물의 지방산 조성 변화와 농축먹이로 사육한 굴 유생의 생존율)

  • Cold storage of concentrated food phytoplanktons is a useful technique in supplying food organisms for artificial shellfish seed. One month after preservation at $4^{\circ}C$, we have measured survival rate of the concentrated food phytoplanktons, Pavlova lutheli, Isochrysis galbana, Isochrysis aff, galbana and Chaetoceros calcitrans. Thereafter we determined survival rate of oyster lavae fed fresh and concentrated diets and fatty acid compositions of the fresh and concentrated food phytoplanktons. Survival rate of concentrated planktons ranged from $23\%$ to $31\%$ after one month at $4^{\circ}C$. The survival rate of oyster larvae fed cold stored food appeared generally higher than those fed fresh harvested food. Especially, the highest survival rate were found in the larvae fed cold stored concentrated I. aff. galbana. EPA and DHA increased after cold storage and the highest level of DHA was detected in I. aff. galbana. As DHA can role as an important factor in determing nutritional value, it would be better to use concentrated I aff, gaibana kept in cold refrigerator for oyster seed production.

  • To improve functional properties and enhance application of FPC in food industry, modified salmon FPC with enzyme treatment was produced and its general properties were investigated. Salmon FPC has over $84\%$ of protein and less than $0.18\%$ of lipid. Solubilities of FPC extracted with IPA and ethanol were very poor as less than $3\%$ in every pH range. In case of enzyme : substrate ratio of 1 : 100, degree of hydrolysis significantly increased until 4 hours and then slightly increased. No considerable differences were observed in general components of hydrolysates. Results of SDS-PAGE showed one unique band in each case and their molecular weight was less than 6,500. The flow properties of hydrolysates showed newtonian flow. Whiteness of hydrolysates were higher than that of salmon FPC as $5\~7$. There was no significant differences in the amount of peptide, but that of free amino acid slightly increased from 0.17 to 0.21 mg/ml.
