Effects of Song Discussion on Depression and Rehabilitation Motivation in Stroke Patients (노래 가사 토의가 뇌졸중 환자의 우울 및 재활동기에 미치는 효과)

  • This study investigated the effects of song discussion on depression and rehabilitation motivation in stroke patients. Older adults with chronic stroke participated in this study: nine for the experimental group and eight for the control group. The experimental group was divided into three subgroups and participated in 12 sessions over 6 weeks. Target lyrics were selected by the investigator among popular songs from the participants' young adulthood. The song-based discussion was facilitated to address issues targeted at supportive, insight-focused, or reconstructive stage. The control group was provided with delayed intervention. At pre and posttest, the short form of Geriatric Depression Scale and the Rehabilitation Motivation Scale were measured. The experimental group showed significantly decreased depression and significantly increased rehabilitation motivation (p < .01), while the control group showed no significant changes. Positive changes were also observed in all subcategories of rehabilitation motivation in the experimental group, particularly in significantly increased task-oriented motivation and decreased amotivation. This study suggests that song discussion will be effectively applied in rehabilitative settings to address psychological issues of older adults with stroke.

Clothing Purchase Motivation by Clothing Attitudes for Korean-Chinese College Female Students (중국 조선족 여대생의 의복태도에 따른 의복구매동기)

  • 본 연구는 연변 지역 조선족 여자 대학생을 대상으로 의복태도에 따른 의복구매동기를 조사함으로써 소비자의 심리적 특성을 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 2002년 5월에서 6월 사이에 300부의 설문지가 중국 연변 지역의 여자 대학생에게 배부되어 248부의 설문지가 최종적으로 분석에 사용되었다. 설문지는 5점 척도를 사용하였고, 통계처리는 SAS PC 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 요인분석, t-test를 하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 여자 대학생의 의복태도는 유행성, 유명상표지향성, 심미성, 정숙성의 네 요인으로 분류되었다. 각 요인 별로 요인의 평균값이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단으로 분류하여 의복태도에 따른 의복구매동기를 조사한 결과, 유행성${\cdot}$유명상표지향성${\cdot}$심미성${\cdot}$정숙성 네 요인 모두 각 요인 별로 평균값이 높은 집단과 낮은 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 유행성요인에 높은 평균점수를 갖는 집단은 낮은 집단에 비해 멋진 외모나 새로운 유행을 추구하기 위해 의복을 구입하는 동기가 높았고, 미적요인에 높은 평균점수를 갖는 집단은 낮은 집단에 비해 실용적 이유보다는 사회적 모임이나 기분의 변화를 위하여 의복의 구매동기를 가졌다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 의복태도는 중국조선족소비자의 경우에도 의복구매행동을 예측하는 좋은 변수가 될 수 있으며 시장세분화를 위한 유용한 기준이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

A Case Study of Synchronization-Based Group Music Therapy for Promoting Peer Interaction of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder (자폐범주성장애 아동의 또래 간 상호작용 촉진을 위한 동기화 기반 그룹 음악치료 사례)

  • This case study examined the effects of synchronization-based group music therapy for improving peer interaction of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The participants were five children between the ages of 6 and 10 with ASD. A total of eight 30-minute music therapy sessions were conducted two times a week. During sessions, target behaviors (i.e., engagement in joint action, synchronized movements, eye contact, and initiation of social interaction) were observed and analyzed. Also, the PIPPS-P was completed by parents to identify behavioral changes in real-life environments from pretest to posttest. Following the intervention, all of the participants showed increases in synchronized movements with peers and attempts to initiate social interaction. In addition, parents rated their children's play behavior as being improved in their everyday living environment. These results support that synchronous movements between children with ASD, which were facilitated with rhythmic cueing, led to enhanced engagement in joint action. Considering that those movements are the basis for further social skills (e.g., play behavior), this study also indicates that synchronization-based group music therapy could be an effective therapeutic approach for improving the peer interaction of this population.

Preliminary Development of A Social Work Skills Inventory (사회복지실천기술 척도의 예비적 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the first social work skills inventory in Korea. Based upon the literature review of social work skills, the examination of an existing scale, and the comments from professionals in this field, 57 preliminary items were developed. Preliminary items were evaluated with a total of 370 social workers who were working in various fields of social work in Seoul and surrounding areas. A series of exploratory factor analyses were conducted to find out the optimal structure of the scale. After deleting 30 items with low factor loadings or being cross-loaded, the scale is composed of five factors. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the factor structure of the scale obtained by exploratory factor analysis. The first factor was named preparatory and assessing skills to be mostly used in the beginning phase of th social work process, the second factor was named change facilitating skills to be used to strengthen motivation to change, third factor was named ending and evaluating skills to be used to terminate the professional relationship and evaluate the outcome of the relationship, the fourth factor was named resource linking and utilizing skills to be used to utilize resources in order to solve clients' problems and the fifth factor was named ethical practice skills. Each component of the social work skills inventory is found to be reliable and valid. In sum, the social work skills inventory is an instrument encompassing basic skills necessary for social work process, skills for ethical social work practice, and skills necessary for utilizing environmental resources.

The Effect of Motivational Counseling Program on the Knowledge and Attitude of Smoking Cessation and Smoking Cessation Behaviors of Middle School Students (동기강화상담 프로그램이 중학생의 금연지식, 금연태도 및 금연행위에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of motivational counseling program for improving knowledge and attitude of smoking cessation and smoking cessation behaviors of middle school students. The research design was nonequivalent control group pre- and post-test design. The subjects were 42 third grade students of M and D middle school in G city (experiment group 21, control group 21). The treatment of this study, motivational counseling program was modified by author based on Lim(2010), developed by Valasquez(2001). The effects of this study were evaluated with the scales for smoking knowledge, smoking attitude, daily cigarette consumption, and the scales of stage of change. The data were analyzed with percentage and t-test using SPSS 21.0. The results of this study were summarized as follows: The experiment group who participated in the motivation counseling program had higher scores in knowledge(t=8.99, p=.000) and attitude(t=2.77, p=.008) of smoking cessation and stage of change(t=3.85, p=.000), and lesser daily cigarette consumption(t=-3.68, p=.001) than those of the control group. Based on these results, it was verified that the motivational counseling program may be effective in improving smoking cessation of middle school students. It is recommended that the motivational counseling program will be used as useful psychiatric nursing intervention for smoking prevention, smoking cessation, and mental health promotion for middle school students.

A Study on the Motive and Evaluation of the Job for a Special Private Security Tasks (특수경비원의 직업선택동기와 직업평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study is focused on the relation in the motive and the evaluation for the job in a special private security field. The supplement of the outstanding human resources is one of most important matter to improve the private security industry. For it the applicant's motive and evaluation of whose quality should be screened to recruit proper and oustanding human resources into the industry. For the study the follow elements would be considered. First, What is the real motive to apply the job and how prospect on the job the applicant will be taken. Second, what is different point of view to the job between male and female. Third, what relationship is in achieving the job performance between the temporary motive and the planed motive. Forth, what effects are on the job satisfaction and the planed motive for the job. With the above elements the survey was taken based on each sex for the study and the results are out as below. a) Male is in higher than female in taking with unplaned job motive and for job satisfaction is much higher in 1-20 age range. b) In general, the expectation on the job is much higher than the current job status, the male are in the expextation on the job and the female are in the the current job status. c) The job satisfaction is on positive effect to the planed taken job but the unplaned taken job is on negative. From the Research the most concerning element on the recruiting new employee is applicant's positive attitude on the job he/she will be taken.

  • 생활이 풍족해질수록 사람들은 음식이나 음료를 통하여 미각을 즐기는 경향이 강해지고 있다. 미각이 발달한 사람들은 다른 감각이 발달한 사람들보다 소비 욕구가 왕성하여 상품정보에 밝은 편이고 신제품에 대한 호기심도 많아 주요고객으로 환영받을 수 있는 가능성이 매우 높다. 이러한 점을 고려할 때 미각은 소비성향의 척도가 될 수 있으며, 이것이 상품개발에 중요한 지표가 될 가능성이 있다. 그러나 맛에 민감하다거나 둔감하다고 표현되는 개인의 미각물질에 대한 감도는 개인마다 일정치 않다. 이것은 미각물질에 따라 개인의 상대적인 역치의 고조나 미각 강도의 대소가 다르거나 감도가 다른 미각물질에 대한 수용구조에 개인차가 있기 때문이다. 이처럼 개인차가 있는 미각을 표준화된 방법으로 측정하는 것은 그리 쉬운 일이 아니다. 미각강도 측정을 위한 Time-Intensity curve는 1958년 음식물의 특성에 대해 관심을 가졌던 Nielson에 의해 개발되었는데 최근에 Takagi와 Asakura가 Time-Intensity curve분석과 기록을 위해 microcomputer를 이용한 방법을 개발하였다. 그들의 방범은 Time-Intensity curve를 모니터에 보여주고 data를 floppy discs에 기록하여 software로 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 이것을 좀더 편리하고 단순하게 만들기 위해 감각의 강도를 전기적 저항의 interface를 통하여 computer에 입력하는 대신에 mouse를 이용하여 입력하는 방법을 개발하였다. 새로이 개발된 Time-Intensity curve를 이용하여 커피성분 중 설탕과 프림의 농도에 변화를 주어 맛의 좋고 싫음의 미각강도를 측정하는 실험을 하였다. 그 결과 상품개발의 중요한 지표가 되는 미각의 강도를 측정할 수 있었고 이것은 향후 commercial한 상품의 개발에 유용한 지표가 될 것이라고 본다.시사한다. 본 연구에서는 한국 연구 조직에서 일하는 외국인 연구자들의 동기 및 성과에 영향을 미치는 많은 요인들을 확인할 수 있었다. 상관관계, 분산분석, 회귀분석 등을 통해 활용 성과에 미치는 영향 요인들을 도출하였다. 설문 분석을 통하여 동기 및 성과 사이에는 강한 상관관계가 존재하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 이는 전통적인 동기 이론들과 부합한다. 대부분의 변수가 동기 및 성과에 동시에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며 그중에서도 조직 협력 문화, 외국인 연구자의 의사소통 및 협력성, 외국인 연구자의 연구 능력 관련 변수들 및 연구 프로젝트의 기술수명주기, 외국인 연구자의 기존 기술지식의 흡수 등이 가장 중요한 변수로 나타났다. 이는 우리가 주로 중국 및 러시아 과학자들을 활용하여 상업화하는 외국인 연구인력 활용 패턴과도 일치하는 결과이다. 즉 우호적인 조직문화를 가지고 있는 연구 조직에서, 이미 과학기술 지식을 많이 가지고 있고 연구 능력도 높은 외국인 과학기술자를, 한국에서 기술이 태동 또는 성장하고 있는 연구 분야에서 활용하는 것이 가장 성과가 좋다는 사실을 확인시켜 주고 있다. 국내에서 최초로 수행된 본 연구는 외국인 연구 인력의 활용 성과가 매우 높으며, 우리의 과학기술혁신시스템을 보완하는 유효한 수단으로써 외국인 연구 인력이 중요한 대안이 될 수 있음을 발견하였다. 외국인 연구 인력을 잘 활용하기 위하여 문제점 및 개선방안을 활용 환경, 연구 인력이 중요한 대안이 될 수 있음을 발견하였다. 외국인 연구 인력을 잘 활용하기 위하여 문제점 및 개선 방안을 활용 환경, 연구 인력관리. 인력 교류사업, 외국인 과학자 지원 창구 등으로 나누어서 정리하였다. 연구시설, 주거시설 등의 하드웨어적 환경에 대한 개선도 중요하지만 연구 인력의 관리 능력 제고, 인력 교류 사업의 개선, 정보 제공 등 소프트웨어적인 활용 능력을 제고하는데 정책적인 관심을 기

  • With the reinforcement in patient's rights and safety, simulation-based learning is getting popular in nursing education. Therefore, The purpose of this study was to identify the outcomes and satisfaction of simulation-based learning in nursing on patient with UGI bleeding. Participants of this study were 77 second year nursing students who never experienced simulation-based learning. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS Statistics 18.0. Frequencies, % for general characteristics and satisfaction in simulation, and paired t-test for learning outcomes in simulation were used. Confidence on clinical performance, satisfaction in simulation significantly increased by simulation-based learning. The applying the simulation-based learning is a practical alternative to patient safety and nursing students were satisfied. Well trained and educated instructors are the first line rather than facilities for the quality of learning.

  • Safety education delivered to construction workers in a lecture manner has limitations in concentration and immersion, so delivery power and interest are low. In order to improve unstable behavior through education and prevent safety accidents, it is necessary to change the paradigm to hands-on education. Purpose: Experiential safety education aims to contribute to preventing accidents for construction workers by quickly recognizing risks, improving emergency response skills, and verifying the effectiveness of pre- and post-learning. Method: Based on a survey of workers who experienced the same work environment as the actual construction site, an opinion survey on the pre- and post-safety experience education and a variable measurement tool were planned, and a research hypothesis was established. Results: The Bayesian theory and MC simulation analysis were used to analyze the structural equation model, and the change in construction worker behavior was confirmed through the intended safety (A), non-experiential education in the sub-area of anxiety (B), average, standard deviation, and minimum and maximum values. Conclusion: The effect of education and industrial accidents are reduced only when construction workers are motivated to participate.

Development and Application of High School Students' Physics Self-Efficacy (물리 자기효능감 측정 도구의 개발 및 적용: 자연계열 고등학생을 대상으로)

  • Based on social cognitive theory, self-efficacy in the context of learning has been steadily emphasized as an indicator of students' motivation and performance. The premise for developing such an instrument was that a specific measure of Physics self-efficacy was deemed to be an important predictor of the change processes necessary to improve students' physics understanding. In this study we described the process of developing and validating an instrument to measure students' beliefs in their abilities to perform essential tasks in physics and then investigated high school students' self-efficacy about physics learning and performance. Validity and reliability of PSEI were tested using various statistical techniques including the Cronbach alpha coefficient, exploratory factor analysis. The result of factor analysis supported the contention that the Physics Self-Efficacy Inventory (PSEI) was a multidimensional construct consisting of at least four dimensions: understanding and application of Physics concepts, achievement motivation, confidence for physics laboratory, confidence for Mathematics. The result showed that Kroean high schools students have low Physics self-efficacy for the all four dimensions. Therefore, researchers should focus on development of students' Physics self-efficacy. In addition, the instrument may lead to further understanding of student behavior, which in turn can facilitate the development of strategies that may increase students' aspiration to understand and study Physics. More specifically, by using the PSEI as a pre- and post-test indicator, instructors can gain insight into whether students' confidence levels increase as they engage in learning Physics, and, in addition, what type of teaching strategies are most effective in building deeper understanding of Physics concepts.where they freely exchanged opinions and feedback for constructing better collective ideas.
