The development of On-line Model for the Prediction of Effective Strain Distribution by Non-dimensionalization on FEM Basis (유한요소법 기반의 무차원화를 이용한 판 유효 변형률 분포 예측 온라인 모델 개발)

  • In this research on-line model for the prediction of the effective strain distribution in strip on finishing mill process is presented. To describe the effective strain distribution in strip, three guide points and a distribution fitting variable are used. On-line models to get these points and fitting variable non-dimensionalization method and least square method were used with FEM simulation results. The model is developed using strip only FEM simulation as reference sets and compared with roll coupled FEM simulation results as perturbed sets. The on-line model to describe effective strain distribution shows good agreement with coupled FEM analysis results.

  • In this study, an equivalent unit load methodology has been presented to simplify the fatigue analysis procedure. And fuselage structure fatigue life has been evaluated based on equivalent unit load. Finite element analysis has been carried out to analyze the stress intensity factor and geometrical correction factor that is needed for crack growth analysis. And strain energy density factor is used to predict the initial direction of crack propagation.

  • Recently, the plane strain puch stretching test(called PSST) has been developed and used successfully in the evaluation of the press formability of automotive steel sheets. In this paper, the optimum punch geometry of the original PSST tool was investigated by the FEM analysis. The puch length, crown and corner radius are chosen to be optimized according to the Taguchi's experiment technique with the $L_4$ orthogonal array.

  • This paper evaluated the structural improvements and new product development of cleaning machines. A cleaning machine was redesigned for structural improvements and new product development using a 3-D design program CATIA. In addition, structural analysis was conducted on the modeled cleaning machine using the ANSYS program. The total deformation, stress and strain were obtained by the pressure change. This result was applied to the new product development of cleaning machines.

  • 마이크로 스케일에서 다결정 재료의 소성 거동을 살펴볼 때, 결정의 geometrically necessary dislocation(GND) 효과에 의한 소성 구배(plastic gradient)의 고려는 재료의 소성 거동에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 소성 구배의 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 다결정 고체(polycrystalline solids)의 거동을 유한요소해석을 이용하여 살펴보았다. 소성 구배의 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 구배 경화 계수(gradient hardness coefficient)와 먼 거리 변형률에 대한 재료 길이 변수(material length parameter)가 사용되었다. 재료 길이 변수의 영향을 살펴보기 위해, 재료 길이 변수의 차이에 따른 다결정 고체의 거동을 분석하였다. 또한 소성 구배 효과의 고려와 재료 길이 변수의 변화에 따라서 다결정 고체 내부에 위치한 단결정이 받는 영향을 살펴보았다. 재료 길이 변수에 따라 결정이 받는 영향을 비교하여, GND에 의한 다결정 고체 거동의 영향을 확인하였다.

  • 암반내에 존재하는 불연속면은 지하구조물의 안정성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 불연속면을 해석하기 위한 구성법칙에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔으나, 객관적인 거칠기 파라미터를 이용한 전단거동 모사에 관한 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 정량적인 거칠기 파라미터를 이용한 두 가지의 새로운 구성방정식을 만들어 절리 거동을 모사하였다. 첫 번째 구성법칙은 탄소성 이론에 근거하여 두께가 없는 개별절리요소 이용한 방법이고, 두 번째 구성법칙은 3차원 레이저 변위 측정 데이터를 직접 이용하여 Ohnishi가 제안한 거칠기 손상모델을 도입하였다. 제안된 두 모델을 가지고 직접 전단시험을 모사해본 결과 실제 실험에 나타나는 변형률 경화 및 연화현상 그리고 잔류전단강도와 같은 현상을 볼 수 있었다.

  • This paper deals with a fully coupled piezoelectric-mechanical assumed strain solid element that can be used for geometric and material nonlinear modeling of thin piezoelectric actuators. Since the assumed strain solid element can alleviate locking, the element is suitable for performance analysis of very thin actuators without locking. A finite element code is developed based on the finite element formulation and validated by solving typical numerical examples such as bimorph and unimorph beams. Using thecode, we have conducted performance analysis for LIPCA actuator. The estimated actuation displacement of LIPCA agrees well with experimental data under low prescribed voltage.

  • Mechanical properties of rubber material are very important in design procedure to assure the safety and reliability of the rubber components. In this paper, the material test and accelerated heat aging test were carried out. In order to investigate the effects of heat-aging on the material properties, hardness, elongation, stress-strain curves and dynamic characteristics were obtained from various test conditions. Also, rubber material coefficients were determined by both the uniaxical and equi-biaxial tensile tests.

  • The material properties of rubber was determined by the experiments of uniaxial tension, uniaxial compression, planer tension, equi-biaxial tension and volumetric compression. In compression test, it is difficult to obtain the pure state of compression stress and strain due to friction force between the specimen and compression platen. In this study, the stress and strain data from the equi-biaxial tension test were converted to compression stress and strain and compared to a pure state of simple compression data when friction was zero. The compression test device with the tapered platen was proposed to overcome the effect of friction. It was fumed out that the relationship of the stress and strain using the tapered platen was in close agreement with the pure compressive state.

  • Recently, there has been major issue in safety of elevator. In the view of safe management of elevator, the corresponding research must be done since accidents related elevator include not only actual accident but also possible accident in order to protect user from dangerousness. This research aims to seek an analytical solution for safety apparatus which caused accident again and again among dangerous factors of an elevator. In order to assure safety of door, ANSYS, a commercial software was applied and evaluate safety qualitatively by calculating stress and strain deformed under the loads of 40 to 100kg.
