The purpose of this study is to analyze the development and features of the abridged DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification), one of the main factors for DDC's success. For the study, a comparison table including the publication years and the physical features has been presented based on the general relationship between the full edited DDC and the abridged DDC. In addition, the contents and features have been analyzed from the first to the latest (14th) edition. Lastly, the time of introduction of four supplementary tables used in the abridged DDC and its development have been investigated.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the geology-related contents in the 1st~7th elementary science curriculum. Our analysis was based on the analytical frameworks of geology-related contents (the structure of the contents, the amount of teaming, the contents of the experimental activities, the transitions of the terminology, and the change in the number of illustrations). The results are as follows: 1. Consistently covered contents were limited to weathering of the rock and soil, igneous rock, sedimentary rock, metamorphic rock, and the change of the earth's, fold and fault, earthquake and volcano, geologic stratum and fossil. 2. The geological contents account for (average), 11.5% (maximum), and 5.1% (minimum) of the elementary science curriculum. Most contents covered in the curriculum were rock and soil, and the change of the earth's surface. 3. Continuously covered experimental contents were the weathering and soil, igneous rock, change of the earth's surface, geologic stratum and fossil. 4. The terminology on the rock was the most frequently changed. Whenever the curriculum changed, the addition, deletion, or renaming of terminology led to confusions. 5. In terms of the transition of illustrations, the pictures replaced the figures or diagrams as the representative illustration methods as the science or the textbook compilation skill develope. The cartoons or tables were also used increasingly in order to help the children to understand and pay attention to study.

선형대수 교육과정 연구 단체(LACSG, The Linear Algebra Curriculum Study Group)는 1990년 그의 결성과 함께 선형대수 교육과정에서 중점적으로 고려해야할 다섯 가지 추천 목록을 발표하였다. 그 중 가장 두드러진 특징은 기존의 형식적이고 엄밀한 벡터공간 중심의 선형대수 교육과정을 보다 실용적인 행렬중심으로 바꿀 것을 주장하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 벡터 공간 중심의 교육과정과 행렬 중심에 기반한 교육과정의 역사적 흐름에서 행렬 중심의 교육과정이 우위를 차지하게 된 배경을 살핀다. 또한 이러한 교육과정과 맥을 같이한 선형대수 교과서의 변천과, 행렬의 곱의 전개를 중심으로 두 중심사이의 차이를 논한다.

Hangzhou, in China, is a city that has a history as long as 2,300 years and is renowned due to its natural scenery of a beautiful lake surrounded by gentle green hills. This world wide famous scenery, known as West Lake(西湖), in 2011, was included in the World Heritage Landscape List. Though this place experienced enormous development and changes during thousands of years, historic sceneries did not disappear with the passage of time. In contrary, they are refined and increased attributing to protection efforts from past dynasties. Therefore, research in landscape transition is significant for building livable environment and preserving historical landscape. This paper mainly focuses on history transition of city Hangzhou. First of all, its urban construction and guiding ideology is analyzed. Then, deep meticulous research is carried out on development and preservation achievements for dynasty Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing. In the end, from a historical point of view, this paper will provide a new perspective which would contribute to sustainable preservation of historical landscape. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, the West Lake through several times of the rectification and construction, the present landscape was completed during thousand years several times through the construction.

이 기사는 미국과학지흥협회(AAAS)가 멕시코시에서 개최한 「기술이관과 국민경제개발」을 주제로 한 학술대회에서 발표된 내용의 일부를 옮긴 것이다. 과학의 발달과 사회의 요청으로 기술이 부단히 변천하게 되며 이러한 기술변천은 여러가지 면으로 사회에 영향을 미치게 된다. 기술변천이 사회에 미치는 영향을 알기 위해서 변천이랑 어떠한 것인가, 이러한 변천은 무엇에 또는 누구에 영향을 미치는가와 같은 기술변천의 성격을 알아야 한다. 그러므로 이 강연에서는 먼저 변천의 종류와 그리고 이 변천이 어떻게 그리고 얼마나 광범위한 영향을 가져오는가를 검토하고 그후에 이러한 변천이 좋은지 나쁜지에 대해서 그리고 이에 대하여 어떻게 할 수 있는가 하는 점을 살펴보겠다. 먼저 요점을 기술하면 기술변천의 영향은 변천이 이루어지고 있을 때 우리가 이해하거나 고려한 것보다 더 광범위하고 더 깊고 더 다양하다는 사실과 그리고 모든 변천이 다 좋은 것은 아니며 바쁜 결과를 미치는 경우도 있으나 이러한 것 모두를 방지 제어 교정할 수 없는 것이 현실이다. 그러므로 사회는 기술변천의 과정이나 기술변천이 내포하고 있는 의미를 철저히 연구조사하여 사회에 악영향을 미치는 것을 억제하고 좋은 결과를 가져오는 것을 촉진시킬 수 있는 제도나 절차를 개발 채택하여야 한다. 이 강연은 구체적인 실례나 도표같은 것이 생략되어 좀 이론적이며 추상적으로 되어있음을 미리 양해하기 바란다. 기술변천에서 어떤 일이 발생하고 있는가 하는 점은 우리들 대부분이 이미 잘 알고 있는 사실이므로 이를 피하고 왜 이러한 것들이 발생하는가에 대해서 주로 말하고자 한다.

지난 호에 일제 강점기의 석유관련 법령의 변천을 소개한데 이어, 이번호에서는 미군정 및 한미석유협정시기의 석유관련 법령의 변천과정을 소개한다. 한미석유협정은 한미경제원조협정중 석유에 관한 내용의 이행을 위하여 1949.1.4 최초로 체결된 이후 1949.10.1, 1955.8.6, 1964.5.12의 3차례 체결되어 모두 4개의 협정시기로 다시 나눌 수 있는데, 이 시기의 석유제품 공급은 미국의 원조에 의존했다. 1964.4월부터 대한석유공사의 정제시설 준공으로 석유제품의 생산 및 공급이 대한석유공사법 및 대한석유공사에 의해 이루어지고, 1970.2월부터는 석유사업법이 시행되는데, 이 때까지의 변천내용을 정리하였다.

The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the historical process of library and information science domain since 1970 in Korea. This study analyzed major subjects of 5,915 articles which were published through six academic journals in LIS area from 1970 untill 2015 by year and over 10-year periods. The results showed the development process of LIS domain itself and 4 sub-domains through subject analysis of 6 academic journals.
