  • In this article I investigate the critical fundamental truth of the practical philosophy of Kim Doo-Huhn who has not become known in our Korean society but should be paid respect at any cost in the history of practical philosophy, and whom we should take the important case of a philosophical lesson, focused on 'the Dialectic of Theory of Value' which makes up an essential framework of his practical philosophy.

  • Tomas Gutiérrez Alea, internationally famous cuban director, made the film Up to a certain point with a purpose of criticizing the existence of the extreme male chauvinism as 'machismo' in cuban society of 80's despite of many changes of cultural and social paradigms through 60's and 70's. The director gathered the themes and topics of the films like Lucia, One way or another, and Teresa's portrait and analyzed them to present alternatives. The way of approaching to solve that kind of social problems that Alea proposed to the spectator is taking time to think of the problems with a way of "The Viewer's Dialectic". Identification with the protagonist of the film(thesis) and alienation from him(antithesis) could make the audience generalize the diverse aspects of the problem and then one might get an insight(synthesis) to live the life with more satisfaction that is supposed to be a social function of the film as arts according to the director of the film Up to a certain point.

  • 호르크하이머와 데이비드 보넷 이 두사람의 이름처럼 아날로그와 디지털을 구분하는 인물은 그리 흔하지 않다. 역사적으로 산업의 축이 농업에서 공업으로, 다시 중공업에서 서비스산업으로 옮겨지는 물결에 따라 새로운 등장 인물이 나타난다. 디지털콘텐츠 서비스 산업중에서도 명실상부한 21세기형 산업으로 떠오르면서 그 시대의 걸맞는 주역 역시 나타나기 마련이다. 디지털 콘텐츠의 다른 이름인 꺼리 문화에서 ;문화'라는 단어가 처음 등장한것은 1940년대와 프랑크푸르트학과 창시자인 호르크하이머와 아도르노가 계몽의 변증법에서 문화산업을 논의 대상으로 올리면서 영국을 거쳐 미국으로 건너가 대중화 되기 시작하였다.

Grassmann's Mathematical Epistemology and Generalization of Vector Spaces (그라스만의 수학 인식과 벡터공간의 일반화)

  • Hermann Grassmann classified mathematics and extended the dimension of vector spaces by using dialectics of contrasts. In this paper, we investigate his mathematical idea and its background, and the process of the classification of mathematics. He made a synthetic concept of mathematics based on his idea of 'equal' and 'inequal', 'discrete' and 'indiscrete' mathematics. Also, he showed a creation of new mathematics and a process of generalization using a dialectic of contrast of 'special' and 'general', 'real' and 'formal'. In addition, we examine his unique development in using 'real' and 'formal' in a process of generalization of basis and dimension of a vector space. This research on Grassmann will give meaningful suggestion to an effective teaching and learning of linear algebra.

  • This study gropes for historical geographic approach to regional research in view of new regional geography. A geographical methodology in regional geography pursues the dialectics of concrete totalities. Regional researches think that social processes interact with the uniqueness of regional characteristics and that region is a historical unit which changes dynamically. Time in regional changes is understood in terms of a dialectics of continuity and break. Transition from feudalism to capitalism is the important period which is captured continuity and break simultaneously. Research objects in this research are money, market and city. Money symbolizes transition to capitalism, and market and city have the importance in transition from feudalism to capitalism In Korea, historical geographic approach to money, market and city both in the era of opening ports and in the Japanese colonial times in Korea are important objects in regional geography. Colonial urban research in view of money and market from the era of opening ports to the Japanese colonial times in Korea is a theme which includes a dialectic of concrete totalities in historical geographic approach in regional geography.

An analysis on the development processes of mathematics and the results by dialectical materialism (수학의 발달과정과 그 결과에 대한 변증법적 유물론에 의한 분석)

  • Mathematics education is accomplished by systems such as mathematical curriculum and tools such as a textbook which reflects such systems. Human beings make such systems and tools. Therefore, a viewpoint of mathematics of those who make them is an important factor. The view point of mathematics is formed during doing and learning mathematics, but the already formed viewpoint of mathematics affects doing and teaching mathematics. Hence, it will be a factor which affects basically that those who employ themselves on mathematics education have a certain viewpoint of mathematics. This article presents dialectical materialistic viewpoint as the viewpoint of mathematics which affects fundamentally on mathematical teaching-learning practice. The dialectical materialism is carried through the process and result of mathematics development. This shows that mathematical knowledge is objective. Mathematical knowledge has developed according to three basic rules of dialectical materialism i.e. the transformation of quantity into quality, the unification of antagonistic objects, and the negation of negation. This viewpoint of mathematics should offer the viewpoint of mathematics education which is different from the view point of absolutism, relativism or formal logic. In this article I considered mathematics separating standpoint of mathematics into materialistic viewpoint and dialectical viewpoint. 1 did so for the convenience of analysis, but you will be able to look at the unified viewpoint of dialectical materialism. 1 will make mention of teaching-learning method on another occasion.

The Metonymic Realism of the 2014 Venice Biennale of Architecture (2014 베니스 비엔날레 건축전에 나타난 환유적 리얼리즘)

  • 2014 Venice Biennale of Architecture, presented by general director Rem Koolhaas, has shown the distinct difference between his present displays and past displays. Under the theme of FUNDAMENTALS and ABSORBING MODERNITY, Rem Koolhaas has developed his own unique way which is a research-oriented display technique to explain the difference at the exhibition. The purpose of this study is to define a research-oriented display technique as realism rhetoric for the opened dialectic and identify its aspect of a methodic approach. This report investigated not only Rem Koolhaas's thought and theoretical approach through his work but also the comparison of between his present and past displays. His display is based on the constellation of Central Pavilion, National Pavilions, and Arsenale display and reflected the reality of architecture in self-deception through the metonymical interaction of various facts and records. Rem Koolhaas called it the composition of contradiction. In his work, the spatial situation which is the present has been made with the intervention of historical events and has revived the reality of architecture. Also, the present is a montage of the strict control of architecture, the isolation from the architecture itself, and the autonomic communication with other fields. Finally, as a result of his work, Rem Koolhaas has shown that his display is not the end of phase but a phase of creation.
