The Development of Intelligent On-line Quiz Authoring Tool based on Bayesian Inference Network (베이지언 추론망 기반 지능형 온라인 퀴즈 저작도구의 개발)

  • In this paper, we present an on-line quiz authoring software that helps teachers create an intelligent on-line quiz. It is designed to give each student appropriate diagnostic report using Bayesian inference networks that represent the relationships among knowledge-items. Once the authors design and edit quizzes in quiz authoring page, the authoring tool automatically produces a knowledge-model based on Bayesian inference network, on-line quizzes, and student report pages. It turns out that the on-line quizzes generated by this tool help students identify their weak parts of subject, make learning strategies for the next learning steps and carry out supplementary learning for their weak knowledge-items.

  • This paper describes the e-learning system for science and engineering mathematics using computer algebra system and Bayesian inference network. The best feature of this system is using one of the most recent mathematical dynamic web content authoring model which is called client independent dynamic web content authoring model and using the Bayesian inference network for diagnosing student's learning. The authoring module using computer algebra system provides teacher-user with easy way to make dynamic mathematical web contents. The diagnosis module using Bayesian inference network helps students know the weaker parts of their learning, in this way our system determines appropriate next learning sequences in order to provide supplementary learning feedback.

  • In this study, the relationship between mechanical properties and the effects of second phase in tri-phase steel which was composed of ferrite-martensite-bainite was investigated. In order to obtain different microstructure of ferrite+martensite(DP), ferrite+bainite(F+B), and ferrite+martensite+bainite(TP, different heat treatment has been accomplished. The effects of volume fraction and microstructure of each specimen were studied on tensile property, Charpy impact energy and stretch-flangeability. As the bainite content in triphase steels increased, the tensile strength, and yield strength decreased as well as the reduction of area and strength-uniform elongation increased. However, ferrite-bainite steel had high yield ratio and yield point elongation. The Charpy impact energy of TP and F+B steel was higher than that of DP steel. In addition, the characteristics of hole expanding limit($\lambda$) of TP steel and F+B steel were higher than that of DP steel. These mechanical properties of tri-phase steel have been improved, because bainite could be deformed easily within ferrite matrix. The effect of bainite on ductility in tri-phase steel has been found to be favorable. In this experiment, tri-phase steel contained within 27% bainite volume fraction had good nechanical properties and superior stretch-flangeability.

  • Based on the indiscernible relation of rough set, the inevitability of superposition and inconsistency of data makes the reduction of attributes very important in information system. Rough set has difficulty in the difference of attribute reduction between consistent and inconsistent information system. In this paper, we propose the new uncertainty measure and attribute reduction algorithm by Bayesian posterior probability for correlation analysis between condition and decision attributes. We compare the proposed method and the conditional information entropy to address the uncertainty of inconsistent information system. As the result, our method has more accuracy than conditional information entropy in dealing with uncertainty via mutual information of condition and decision attributes of information system.

  • This paper incorporates the Diamond-Mortensen-Pissarides search and matching framework into the DSGE model. We estimate the model using a Bayesian estimation methodology on Korean data (1991:1-2020:1). Using the estimated model, we investigate the quantitative effects of wage subsidies. Wage subsidies increase matched firms' profits by reducing labor costs which leads to increases in new matches, employment and output. We find that for one percent of GDP in wage subsidies, the cumulative increase in the output level will be greater than 1 percent.

  • 한국어 띄어쓰기에서 통계적 모델을 사용한 기존의 연구들은 최대우도추정(Maximum Likelihood Estimation)에 기반하고 있다. 그러나 최대우도추정은 자료부족 시 부정확한 결과를 주는 단점이 있다. 본 연구는 이에 대한 대안으로 사용자 입력을 고려하는 베이지언 파라미터 추정(Bayesian parameter estimation)을 제안한다. 기존 연구가 사용자 입력을 교정 대상으로만 간주한 것에 비해, 제안 방법은 사용자 입력을 교정 대상이면서 동시에 학습의 대상으로 해석한다. 제안하는 방법에서 사용자 입력은 학습 말뭉치의 자료부족에서 유발되는 부정확한 파라미터 추정(parameter estimation)을 방지하는 역할을 수행하고, 학습 말뭉치는 사용자 입력의 불확실성을 보완하는 역할을 수행한다. 실험을 통해 문어체 말뭉치, 통신환경 구어체 말뭉치, 웹 게시판 등 다양한 종류의 말뭉치와 다양한 통계적 모델에 대해 제안 방법이 효과적임을 알 수 있다.

Bayesian Estimation based K-1 Gas-Mask Shelf Life Assessment using CSRP Test Data (CSRP 시험데이터를 사용한 베이시안 추정모델 기반 K-1 방독면 저장수명 분석)

  • This paper presents a shelf life assessment for K-1 military gas masks in the Republic of Korea using test data of Chemical Materiels Stockpile Reliability Program(CSRP). For the shelf life assessment, over 2,500 samples between 2006 and 2015 were collected from field tests and analyzed to estimate a probability of proper and improper functionality using Bayesian estimation. For this, three stages were considered; a pre-processing, a processing and an assessment. In the pre-processing, major components which directly influence the shelf life of the mask were statistically analyzed and selected by applying principal component analysis from all test components. In the processing, with the major components chosen in the previous stage, both proper and improper probability of gas masks were computed by applying Bayesian estimation. In the assessment, the probability model of the mask shelf life was analyzed with respect to storage periods between 0 and 29 years resulting in between 66.1 % and 100 % performances in accuracy, sensitivity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value.

  • In this paper, we present the development of an intelligent diagnosis system for detecting faults of the transmission line. Based on the TFDR (Time-Frequency Domain Reflectometry), the fault detecting performs to measure the location of fault line. We analyze the reflected signal which is sent from the wire detecting system and classify the fault type of the wires by using intelligent diagnosis system. In order to analyze effectively, we construct the intelligent diagnosis system which is based on the fuzzy-bayesian algorithm. Finally, we provide the simulation results which are performed at transmission line to evaluate the feasibility and generality of the proposed method in this paper.

  • 우리나라는 최근 여름철 태풍 및 집중호우로 인해 많은 토석류 및 산사태가 발생하고 있다. 작년 7월에도 집중호우로 인해 서울시 우면산 일대와 강원도 춘천에 많은 인적 물적 피해를 입었다. 해마다 반복되는 토석류나 산사태의 위험을 감소시키기 위해서는 보다 정확한 위험지역 예측모델을 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 토석류 및 산사태의 위험과 취약지역을 예측하기 위하여 GIS기반의 Weight of Evidence 기법을 적용하여 위험지역을 분석 하고자 한다. 2006년 태풍 에위니아에 의해 많은 토석류 피해를 입은 강원도 인제군 가리산일대를 대상으로 하였으며 토석류 및 산사태 위치 자료는 2005년, 2006년 토석류 발생 전후 항공사진의 중첩분석을 토대로 발생 지역을 추출하였다. 토석류 및 산사태발생에 영향을 미치는 지형, 지질, 토양, 수문, 임상 등의 인자들은 GIS를 이용하여 DB로 구축하였다. 베이시안 확률기법(Bayesian Method)에 기반 하여 구축된 DB와 결합하여 각각의 인자의 가중 값 W+, W-를 계산하여 상관관계를 분석하고 Weight of Evidence 기법을 적용하여 위험지역을 정량적으로 평가하고자 한다.
