The explosive increase in the use of email has made to need email classification efficiently and accurately. Current work on the email classification method have mainly been focused on a binary classification that filters out spam-mails. This methods are based on Support Vector Machines, Bayesian classifiers, rule-based classifiers. Such supervised methods, in the sense that the user is required to manually describe the rules and keyword list that is used to recognize the relevant email. Other unsupervised method using clustering techniques for the multi-category classification is created a category labels from a set of incoming messages. In this paper, we propose a new automatic email multi-category classification method using NMF for automatic category label construction method and dynamic category hierarchy method for the reorganization of email messages in the category labels. The proposed method in this paper, a large number of emails are managed efficiently by classifying multi-category email automatically, email messages in their category are reorganized for enhancing accuracy whenever users want to classify all their email messages.
The amount of incoming e-mails is increasing rapidly due to the wide usage of Internet. Therefore, it is more required to classify incoming e-mails efficiently and accurately. Currently, the e-mail classification techniques are focused on two way classification to filter spam mails from normal ones based mainly on Bayesian and Rule. The clustering method has been used for the multi-way classification of e-mails. But it has a disadvantage of low accuracy of classification and no category labels. The classification methods have a disadvantage of training and setting of category labels by user. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-way e-mail hierarchy classification method that uses PCA for automatic category generation and dynamic category hierarchy for high accuracy of classification. It classifies a huge amount of incoming e-mails automatically, efficiently, and accurately.

Bayesian networks are known as the best tools to express and predict the domain knowledge with uncertain environments. However, bayesian learning could be too difficult to do effective and reliable searching. To solve the problems of overtime demand, the nodes should be arranged orderly, so that effective structural learning can be possible. This paper suggests the classification learning model to reduce the errors in the independent condition, in which a lot of variables exist and data can increase the reliability by calculating the each entropy of probabilities depending on each circumstances. Also efficient learning models are suggested to decide the order of nodes, that has lowest entropy by calculating the numerical values of entropy of each node in K2 algorithm. Consequently the model of the most suitably settled Bayesian networks could be constructed as quickly as possible.

A genre-based classification means classifying documents by the purpose for which they were written, not by the semantics or subject areas. Most genre classifying methods in the past were based on the existing documents categorization algorithms and ineffective for feature selections, resulting in low quality classification results. In this research, we propose a new method for automatic classification of digital documents by genre. The genre classifier we developed uses the deviation statistic between the genre-revealing term frequencies and between the subject-revealing term frequencies within a genre. We collected Web documents to evaluate the proposed genre classification method. The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms a direct application of a kai-square feature selection and bayesian classifier often used for subject classification by proving an excellent accuracy of about 30 percent.
Development of various sensors attached to mobile and wearable devices has led to increasing recognition of current context-based service to the user. In this study, we proposed a probabilistic model for recognizing user's food intake context, which can occur in a great variety of contexts. The model uses low-level sensor data from mobile and wrist-wearable devices that can be widely available in daily life. To cope with innate complexity and fuzziness in high-level activities like food intake, a context model represents the relevant contexts systematically based on 4 components of activity theory and 5 W's, and tree-structured Bayesian network recognizes the probabilistic state. To verify the proposed method, we collected 383 minutes of data from 4 people in a week and found that the proposed method outperforms the conventional machine learning methods in accuracy (93.21%). Also, we conducted a scenario-based test and investigated the effect contribution of individual components for recognition.

As development in technology of bioinformatics recently makes it possible to operate micro-level experiments, we can observe the expression pattern of total genome through on chip and analyze the interactions of thousands of genes at the same time. Thus, DNA microarray technology presents the new directions of understandings for complex organisms. Therefore, it is required how to analyze the enormous gene information obtained through this technology effectively. In this thesis, We used sample data of bioinformatics core group in harvard university. It designed and implemented system that evaluate accuracy after dividing in class of two using Bayesian algorithm, ASA, of feature extraction method through normalization process, reducing or removing of noise that occupy by various factor in microarray experiment. It was represented accuracy of 98.23% after Lowess normalization.
Hypertension has a steadily increasing incidence rate as well as represents a risk factors for secondary diseases such as cardiovascular disease. Therefore, it is important to predict the incidence rate of the disease. In this study, we constructed nomograms that can predict the incidence rate of hypertension. We use data from the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) for 2013-2016. The complex sampling data required the use of a Rao-Scott chi-squared test to identify 10 risk factors for hypertension. Smoking and exercise variables were not statistically significant in the Logistic regression; therefore, eight effects were selected as risk factors for hypertension. Logistic and Bayesian nomograms constructed from the selected risk factors were proposed and compared. The constructed nomograms were then verified using a receiver operating characteristics curve and calibration plot.

The range-free localization using connectivity information has problems of mobile tracking. This paper proposes two Bayesian filter-based mobile tracking algorithms considering a propagation scenario. Kalman and Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) particle filters are applied according to linearity of two measurement models. Measurement models of the Kalman and MCMC particle filter-based algorithms respectively are defined as connectivity between mobiles, information fusion of connectivity information and received signal strength (RSS) from neighbors within one-hop. To perform the accurate simulation, we consider a real indoor map of shopping mall and degree of radio irregularity (DOI) model. According to obstacles between mobiles, we assume two types of DOIs. We show the superiority of the proposed algorithm over existing range-free algorithms through MATLAB simulations.

Currently much research is being done on host based intrusion detection using system calls which is a portion of kernel based data. Sequence based and frequency based preprocessing methods are mostly used in research for intrusion detection using system calls. Due to the large amount of data and system call types, it requires a significant amount of preprocessing time. Therefore, it is difficult to implement real-time intrusion detection systems. Despite this disadvantage, the frequency based method which requires a relatively small amount of preprocessing time is usually used. This paper proposes an effective method for detecting denial of service attacks using the frequency based method. Principal Component Analysis(PCA) will be used to select the principle system calls and a bayesian network will be composed and the bayesian classifier will be used for the classification.
