  • Recently, customers can select various service providers using number portability according to given select options such as quality of service and fare organization. Therefore it is possible that subscriber maintenance and quality competition are converted to fare competition which is real competition concept. However, it is time that we need number portability between $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ for activating 3G services because some important issues are closed such as domestic number portability, WiBro service provider selection. In this paper, we proposed applying method and necessity of $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ number portability Also, we analyzed $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ number portability examples of domestic and foreign countries and domestic market situation about abstract of 3G mobile communication service and number portability introduction between $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ for 3G service activation appearing newly in this research.

  • 국내 차세대 지능망은 ITU-T IN CS-1 권고안을 근간으로 개발 중에 있으며, 한국통신은 1999년부터 UPT, VOT서비스를 상용화할 예정이다. 다양한 통신서비스를 제공하기 위해 국내에서는 많은 통신 사업자들이 등장하였고 사용자 요구를 만족시키기 위해 사업자간 경쟁하고 있다. 번호 이동성 문제는 통신시장의 경쟁 구도를 지향하고 있는 국내 통신 환경에서도 앞으로 중요한 문제로 대두될 것이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 차세대 지능망을 이용하여 번호이동성을 제공하는 방식을 살펴보고, 개발 중인 차세대 지능망 시스템을 이용하여 각 통신사업자마다 번호이동성을 구현하는 효율적인 방안을 제안한다.

  • Number Portability means that one can use his original telephone number when he change telephone service provider, region and the kind of service. Number portability is not necessary when only one telephone service provider exist in korea. But it is necessary to guarantee pair competition among the service providers as new communication service provider comes. The law which is related number portability is established by government as number portability is considered a tool to guarantee pair competition between old service provider and new service provider. A national standard on number portability with which all service provider can agree is needed. We developed functional standard for that purpose. Functional standard includes call processing structure, network requirement. This paper handle functional standards.

  • 최근 미국을 비롯한 세계 각국에서는, 경쟁 환경이 도입된 통신 시장에서 가입자들이 자신의 전화 번호를 그대로 유지하면서 타 사업자에게 이동할 수 있는 번호 이동성(Number Portability)제공이 커다란 이슈로 등장하고 있다. 본 고에서는 번호 이동성의 유형을 살펴보고, 특히 문제가 되는 시내 전화시장의 경쟁에 따른 LNP(Local Number Portability)에 대하여 그 실현 방법들을 조사 분석하였다. 미국에서의 연구 동향을 바탕으로 교환기 기반의 단기 해결 방안과 지능망을 이용한 장기적 해결 방안을 소개하고, 구체적인 호 처리 흐름을 예시하였다.

  • Number portability facilitates that a customer can keep their phone number when changing from one network operator to another. There are three types of NP, that is the operator portability, the service portability and the location portability. Political regulation is required, because number portability induces the transfer of benefits from suppliers to customers and activate the competition among firms. In this paper, we will examin the domestic trends of number portability and analysis the effort of number portability on the competition among firms.

  • 최근의 개인은 유선 통신서비스 뿐만 아니라 무선 통신서비스의 증가로 인하여 집, 사무실 등의 유선 전화번호와 개인휴대전화 등의 무선 전화번호를 모두 가지고 있다. 이러한 전화번호는 개인당 3$\sim$4개의 전화번호를 가지게 만들었다. 그러나 대부분의 사람들은 한번에 통화를 원하기 때문에 일반적으로 무선 전화인 이동전화로 전화를 한다. 이러한 사람들의 성향으로 인하여 통신 사업자는 시설투자가 경제적이고 호 완료율을 놀이는 동시에 전화번호 기억의 편리성을 제공할 필요성이 대두되었다. 그래서 통신사업자들은 평생번호 서비스, Pass Call Service를 제공하고 있고 번호이동성 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 준비 중이다. 그러나, 현재 제공되고 있는 서비스들은 수신자 중심의 서비스로 수신자가 특정 전화번호를 선택하거나 등록한 전화번호로 걸어야 하므로 추가적인 전화번호를 알아야 하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 알고 있는 한 가지 전화번호를 가지고 이를 번역하여 발신자가 다른 번호로의 발신이 가능하게 하는 발신자 중심의 전화번호 변환 서비스에 대하여 제안하고자 한다.

  • Local Number Portability (LNP), an Intelligent Network (IN) service, provides the ability to retain existing telephone numbers when switching from one telecommunications carrier to another, from one region to another, or from one service to another. Local Number Portability (LNP), an Intelligent Network (IN) service, provides the ability to retain existing telephone numbers when switching from one telecommunications carrier to another, from one region to another, or from one service to another. LNP is a key service for increasing competition in the local telephone marketplace. Many countries are now establishing detailed rules for ensuring competition between network operators. Because many major carriers will deploy their own LNP databases, a single access point must be provided to effectively manage and distribute updates to the common regional LNP database. This is called Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC). Recently, CORBA is being accepted as one of the key technologies for developing distributed application systems. To use CORBA for managing IN services, several standard organizations are working towards the integration of IN, TMN and CORBA. In this paper, we present our work on applying the TMN and CORBA technology for the service management of LNP. We first propose a CORBA-based LNP service management system architecture, We then present the design and implementation of a LNP service management system using CORBA.

  • The network configuration of SMS number moving service is a very important factor to improve the user convenience to Internet Telephone. To provide the service, The SMSC system is required the the function of DB process and management of the subscriber, In case of SMSG system to interconnects with the other network and SMSC, the function of the call processing of subscriber who has changed his number by interconnecting with NPDB(Number Portability DB) is required. This paper had studied the way to consist the efficient network by the number moving technique.
