백모근 추출물의 유리아미노산 및 Phenolic acid와 Flavonoids 조성 및 함량 (Composition and Contents of Free Amino Acids and Phenolic Acid and Flavonoids of Imperata cylindrica Beauvois var. koenigii Root extracts)

  • 이 연구에서는 백모근의 열수와 95% 에탄올 추출물의 유리아미노산과 유도체, phenolic acid와 flavonoid의 조성 및 함량을 분석하였다. 연구의 목적은 추출물에 대한 기조자료를 확보하고, 기능성화장품과 기능성식품 성분으로서의 활용 가능성을 확인하고자 하는 것이다. 유리아미노산은 열수 추출물 15종, 95% 에탄올 추출물 9종이 나타났다. 단백질 비구성 아미노산 유도체는 열수 추출물 5종, 95% 에탄올 추출물 4종이 나타났다. 총 polyphenol은 열수 추출물 116.50 ± 0.06 mg%, 95% 에탄올 추출물 140.10 ± 0.04 mg%이었다. 총 flavonoid 함량은 열수 추출물 31.80 ± 0.03 mg%, 95% 에탄올 추출물 43.90 ± 0.05 mg%로 나타났다. Phenolic acid는 열수 추출물 5종, 95% 에탄올 추출물 6종이 나타났다. Flavonoid는 열수 추출물의 경우 나타나지 않았으나, 95% 에탄올 추출물은 taxifolin 1종이 나타났다. 따라서 이상과 같은 결과들로 볼 때 백모근의 열수와 95% 에탄올 추출물은 코스메슈티컬, 뉴트리코스메틱 및 기능성식품 성분으로서의 활용 가치가 있을 것으로 사료되어진다.

백모근 추출물의 T helper 2 세포 분화 조절 효과 (Effects of Imperatae Rhizoma Extract on T helper 2 cell differentiation)

  • Objectives : The aims of this study were to exploring the therapeutic effect of Imperatae Rhizoma Extract(IRE) on Asthma. Methods : To investigate biological modulation activities of IRE, we conducted the cell-based assay whether IRE could regulate T helper 2 cells activity with EL4 T cells and mouse splenocytes, and followed animal study to conform the efficacy of their therapeutic potential on OVA-induced asthmatic mouse. Results : In cell study, IRE suppress the nuclear translocation of GATA binding protein-3 protein in phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate/Ionomycin-stimulated EL4 T cells and Interleukine(IL)-4, IL-5 and IL-13 production in splenocytes at concentration dependent manner. In animal study, IRE-treated groups both 100mg/ml and 200mg/ml improve airway hypersensitibility reaction(AHR) response to methacholine about 30% and 40% with positive control group. Peritoneal blood analysis reveal that eosinophil number and ovalbumin-specific IgE is reduced by IRE treatment. Cell number of eosinophil is also reduced in bronchoalveolar lavage of IRE group like to peritoneal cell and real time-polymerase chain reaction data show that expression levels of IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13 were down regulated in lung tissue. Finally, histological analysis indicate that IRE protect the bronchial tissue damages through the accumulation of inflammatory cells and collagen, and these effect may be cause by interfering Th2 cells activity. Conclusions : Our data represent that IRE potentiates therapeutic activities to the allergic diseases such as asthma by regulating Th2 cells differentiation.

상표초, 백모근, 금앵자 추출물이 2K1C 고혈압 백서의 혈압에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Water Extracts of Mantidis Ootheca, Rosa Laevigata, and Imperata Cylindrica on Blood Pressure in Renovascular Hypertension Induced by 2K1C)

  • The aim of the present study is to investigate the hypotensive effect of Mantidis ootheca (WMO), Rosa laevigata (WIC), and Imperata cylindrica (WRL) in renovascular hypertension rats. Experimental hypertension model is 2-kidney and 1-clip (2K1C) induced rats. 2K1C rats were treated with WMO, WIC, and WRL at dose of 100 mg/kg/day orally for 3 weeks, respectively. Treatment groups with WMO, WIC, and WRL significantly lowered blood pressure. Interestingly, WMO, WIC, and WRL ameliorated endothelium-dependent and independent vascular relaxation in the phenylephrine-precontracted thoracic aorta in hypertension models. In addition, 2K1C-induced hypertension model increased plasma renin activity, however, WMO, WIC, and WRL attenuated those activities. These results suggest that WMO, WIC, and WRL ameliorates vascular dysfunction in 2K1C-induced hypertension models via the regulation of nitric oxide and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
