Information services adopting RSS(Really Simple Syndication) is on an increase. It is replacing the existing email services. Information in the area of science and technology is of vast amount and various area and their life-cycle and service is complex. Institutions providing information of a single area are not faced with many obstacles in designing information services using RSS in acquiring a channel for the service. However, RSS service in the area of science and technology has to be more specific in designing and implementing the services. In this study, RSS is compared with other information service protocols, domestic and international trends in the area of RSS is analyzed to implement the RSS based Science and Technology information service system(STI-RSS) and its service.

This study examined determinants of movie success from foreign countries except the U.S. in Korea. This research is based on analyses of data based on 500 movies between 2004 and 2013. The major results are following; firstly, in terms of movie success, there were significant differences among three attributes including the origin of countries, genres and distributors. Although determinants of movie success from Japan were animation genre and major distributors, they were action genre and major distributors for European countries. Determinants of movie success from other countries was only animation genre. However, there were no any explanation factions for Chinese movies.

This paper attempts to understand the reality of Netflix on the Korean film distribution market environment, and to verify the possibility of developing domestic content centered on independent films in the OTT market, led by Netflix. The research significance of finding the way for Korean diverse films and independent films that cannot be provided with investment and distribution opportunities in various Korean Wave contents will be studied, and the characteristics of Netflix in the Korean film market will be explored. Netflix disseminates Korean contents such as Korean movies and Korean dramas, contributes to the spread of the Korean Wave, and is re-adjusting the paradigm of the distribution market, raising issues that cause a virtuous cycle of profits, controversy over net usage fees, and flooding of Hollywood movies. Considering the nature of intercultural exchange, the interaction between independent film content, Netflix platform, audience, and global market will expand interactive communication opportunities. In other words, just as Netflix uses the Korean media market to make profits, Korea should also use Netflix to try to expand the global market of Korean film contents (K-Film)and maintain a cultural and economic reciprocal attitude.

천편일률적인 노가다(?)성 MMORPG에 식상한 한 게이머, 캐주얼게임에 접속해본다. 하지만 뭔가 아쉽다. 이런 게이머에겐‘요구르팅’이 제격이다. 엔틱스소프트가 제작하고 네오위즈가 배급을 맡은 3D 온라인게임인 요구르팅은 학원을 배경으로 한 코믹한 설정과 콘솔게임 같은 연출효과에 커뮤니티성까지 더했다. 개발기간 2년에 개발비 100억원, 개발인력이 50여명 넘게 투입돼 공개 전부터 화제가 되기도 했던 이 게임을 소개한다.

This study provides an empirical analysis of box office performance for animation movies released in Korea between 2003 and 2008. Two dependent variables are both the number of audiences in the whole country and the number of audiences in Seoul. Such independent variables are employed : power of distributors, the number of screens, release time, sequel/remake, awards, film ratings, nationality, online reviews, and critics' reviews. For the total number of audiences in the whole country, significant variables are the number of screens, the power of USA distributors, Summer release, and online reviews. Since there is no analysis for box office performance for animation movies released in Korean theaters, this study will be considered to be meaningful.

This study analyzed the factors affecting box office performance of 200 movies released at the Chinese theater in 2015. The results showed that main actor power, online rating, production power, and Chinese film were sighificant factors which influenced box office, while the distribution power, genre, IP utilization and integration of production and distribution were insignificant. These results mean that online marketing factors such as the popularity index of the main actors evaluated on the internet and the online rating are affecting box office performances in Chinese theaters.

Research on RSS(Really Simple Syndication) based application and services are being deployed both domestically and internationally. The RSS service in the area of science and technology should be flexible to the various sources of information as well as the various platform and environments that they are being serviced. It also requires a standardized system to meet the above needs. We have analyzed the use of RSS services overseas as well as domestic services to suggest the implementation of standard system for the syndication of science and technology information based on RSS.

Waterworks facilities inevitably experience some amount of leakage even if there is a lot of investment or state-of-the-art technology that is applied such as DMA(District Metered Area) system construction, leakage detection, repair, pipe rehabilitation, etc. The primary reason is the leakage is naturally restored over time. In the UK, this restoration characteristic is defined as NRR(Natural rate of rise of leakage) and used to decision making for prioritizing active leakage control of DMAs. However, this restoration characteristic is well recognized, but researches on NRR in the water distribution system are insufficient in Korea. In this study, the estimation method of NRR was developed suitable for applicating in Korea considering of SCADA data, water infrastructure, and water usage patterns by modification of the UK's NRR method. The proposed method was applied to 9 DMAs and verified it's applicability by comparing with the other water loss performance indicators. It is expected that the proposed method can be used to support decision making for sustainable NRW(Nor-revenue water) management in the water distribution system.

Due to the increase in single-person households among the people who have companion animals, it is difficult to feed them to companion animals in the absence of the owner, so an automatic feeding machine was designed. In this paper, we propose an automatic feeding machine that has a drug distribution function as well as feeds using the Arduino platform. It is expected that in the proposed automatic feeding machine, users can access the food service through the website, and experience the convenient and extended food service function through the automatic dispensing system that combines the two materials.
