A Study on The Development and Evaluation of Mine Detective Gear (지뢰 탐지용 방호복 구성과 방호성능 및 착용감 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate a newly developed protective suit with the fragments of grenade. The protection efficiency should be strengthened upon the degree of wound. The fragment weight of the used grenade was measured and the kinetic energy of the maximum speed of the fragments in the field test was 137.7J and this could be the protective efficiency test by the multitude fragments in less than 0.031g of the M16A1. The panel inserted to the new demining suit has protection rate of 100% within the distance of 1m and sample II has protection rate of 100% only beyond the distance of 5m. The test showed that the protection rate on the protective suit of the existing garment was comparatively high, however, the protection rate of the sleeve part was very low. The new demining suit through the research demand some complementary measures to lower the temperatures in ear, average skin temperatures, and the temperatures-humidity inside the clothing for summer climate condition, It showed that 30 minutes of rest on the clothing was difficult to go back to the original condition. But in winter climate condition, there was no problem in the temperature, humidity, and comfort to go back to the original condition during the rest and was better in warmth.

  • The methods to improve the protection and explosion-proof performance of concrete structures include the backside reinforcement or concrete material property improvement and the addition of structural members or supports to increase the resistance performance, but they are inefficient in terms of economics and structural characteristics. This study is about the basic study on the fiber composite panel cover, and the nano-composite material and adhesive as the filler, to maximize the specific performance of each layer and the protection and explosion-proof performance as the composite panel component by improving the tensile strength, light weight, adhesion and fire-proof performances. The fiber composite panel cover (aramid-polyester ratios of 6:4 and 6.5:3.5) had a 2,348 MPa maximum tensile strength and a 1.8% maximum elongation. The filler that contained the nano-composite material and adhesive had a 4 MPa maximum tensile shear adhesive strength. In addition, the nano-composite filler was 30% lighter than the normal portland cement

  • 본 연구에서는 강재로 구성된 선박충돌방호공의 최대방호능력을 산정하기 위하여 선박과 충돌방호공을 모델링하고 충돌거동을 해석하였다. 이러한 비선형충돌해석은 매우 큰 요소망과 고도의 비선형성을 려해야하기 때문에 이의 해석비용이 일반적인 해석에 비하여 매우 크므로 해석의 경제성을 확보하기 의사정적해석방법을 이용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 이 과정에서 효율적인 해석을 위한 수치 해석기법이 추가되었다. 해석결과 얻어진 선박과 방호공의 에너지소산곡선을 바탕으로 충돌선박이 교량하부구조에 도달하는 시점을 추정하고 이를 바탕으로 대상선박의 최대충돌속도를 산정하였다.

  • Road sides safety barrier system is the last safety during traffic accident. The structural performance of a roadside safety barrier should be kept above expectations. It is possible to protect the passenger's life. End treatment part is installed in the end of the barrier it prevents a phenomenon in which for the vehicle for the guardrail during a vehicle collision it is facility of the absorbing of car crashed impact. By repeated analysis through computer simulation for improving the vehicle crash it will be able to develop crash barriers to respond appropriately to various parameters.

  • 접이식 방호부양장치체계 설계안은 전투장갑차의 부양장치로서 요구되는 부력, 방호성, 독자적 수상운행성을 위한 탑재운용성, 수상운행 준비시간을 최소화하는 구동장치의 최적화 및 수상안정성 극대화 등을 충족시키면서도 중량 증가 요인은 최소화하는 것이 가능할 것으로 검토된 바, 기존 방법으로는 기대할 수 없는 높은 수준의 수상운행성능 구현이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • To minimze the degree of damage for the SMART highway's punctuality and safety after car-barrier collisions, the impact condition for longitudinal barriers of SMART highway was determined to be quite larger than the existing maximum impact condition. The impact condition consists of impact vehicles, impact velocities, and impact angles. To consider the occupant safety of passenger cars as much as possible, a small car with high risk during impact was selected as the impact vehicle for the evaluation of occupant risk. The impact velocity was determined to be 20% larger than the existing maximum impact velocity in order to include accident impact velocities as much as possible. The impact angle was determined to include most of expected accident impact angles. Computer simulations using various impact conditions were conducted for the existing domestic highest-performance medium and roadside barrier. How the suggested impact condition has an effect on the occupant safety was investigated. The existing domestic highest-performance medium and roadside barriers could not satisfy the suggested impact condition. New high-performance longitudinal barriers are required to minimize the degree of damage for the SMART highway's punctuality and safety after car-barrier collisions.

A Study on the Possibility of Application as a Natural Extinguishing System for $N_2$ Generator (산업용 질소발생기에 대한 청정소화설비로의 적용가능성에 관한 연구)

  • An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the possibilities of an industrial $N_2$ generator that it replace Halon series as a natural extinguishing system. And this study comparison design standard of gas series extinguishing system with natural extinguishing system. We manufactured simple protected enclosure for analyzing fire-extinguishing performance of the $N_2$ generator. As a $N_2$ gas is exhausted on protected enclosure, a various of Oxygen concentration is measured to analyze fireextinguishing performance experimentally. The results, in case of $100m^3$ protected enclosure and $5m^3$/min $N_2$ flow rate, the Oxygen concentration is decreased below 15% within 3 minutes. And so, the $N_2$ generator make full use of an suffocating extinguishing system.

  • 원자력발전소 화재방호기준인 KEPIC 원자력발전소 화재방호기준과 대부분의 소방시설관련 NFPA 기준에서는 소방시설 또는 소방시설에 사용하는 구성품(이하 "소방용품"이라 한다)은 관할기관(AHJ : Authority Having Jurisdiction) 받아들일 수 있는 인증(Approved) 되거나 등록된(Listed)된 제품을 사용하도록 규정되어 있다. 따라서 KEPIC 기준이 국내 원자력 발전소에 적용되기 위한 선결과제로 KEPIC 기준에서 요구하는 소방용품의 수급이 원활이 이루어질 수 있는지의 검토가 필요하다. KEPIC 기준은 대부분 NFPA 기준을 적용하고 있기 때문에 KEPIC 기준대로 설계가 이루어지려면 NFPA 기준에서 요구하는 동등이상의 구조와 성능을 갖는 소방용품으로 소방시설을 설치할 필요가 있다. 미국의 경우 일반적으로 UL인증제품이나 FM인증제품이 NFPA 기준에서 의미하는 관할기관이 요구하는 인증 및 등록된 제품으로 인정되고 있으나, 국내의 경우 소방관계법규에 근거하여 정부규격(소방방재청 고시)에 의해 주요 소방용품에 대한 의무검정제도를 운영하고 있어 원자력발전소 화재방호에 KEPIC 기준을 적용할 경우 소방용품의 수급이 원활치 않을 수 있으므로 국내에서 검정받은 소방용품으로 대체할 수 있는 지의 검토가 필요하다. 이에 따라, 국내 소방검정제도와 미국 UL인증제도를 비교하고 또한 국내 기술기준과 UL인증 시험기준이 있는 대표적 주요 소방용품 10가지에 대한 국내검정기준과 미국 UL인증 시험기준의 비교분석 등을 통하여 원자력발전소 화재방호에 KEPIC기준이 적용될 경우에 합리적인 소방용품의 적용방안에 대하여 검토하였다.

Characterization of Several Selectively Permeable Membrane Materials with Water Resistance and Protective Performance (수분저항성 및 방호성능을 가지는 선택투과막 재료의 특성평가)

  • We make several membranes with multilayer structure and characterize protective performance in various ways. Multilayer membrane is composed of shell fabric, support membrane, functional polymer membrane and liner fabric. In this research, we apply cellulose acetate derivatives as base polymer in functional polymer membrane and characterize water resistance, water vapor permeation, protective performance against DMMP and aerosol. Test results show that cellulose based polymer with polyethyleneimine possess performance with good water vapor permeation and excellent protective capability against DMMP equivalent to Saratoga type's protective suits. Also, these materials possess aerosol protective performance and water resistance.
