  • 본 논문에서는 레이더(Radar)나 소나(Sonar) 시스템 등에서 중요하게 여겨왔던 신호의 방위각 추정기법들은 신호원의 수를 정확히 알아야 한다는 문제점이 있었다. 이러한 문제점들을 최근에는 빠른 수렴속도를 가지는 칼만 필터를 사용하여 신호원의 정보 없이 잡음 부공간을 성공적으로 추정하는 방법을 제안하게 되었는데 이 방법은 중간대 이상의 신호대 잡음비(SNR)가 유지되는 경우 신호의 정보 얼이 DOA를 추정할 수 있는 것으로 평가되어왔다. 그러나 이러한 알고리즘은 임펄스성 잡음이 섞인다면 성능저하를 가져을 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 칼만 필터를 바탕으로 한 MUSIC 알고리즘에 시변메모리인자와 후버 영향 함수를 도입하여 임펄스 잡음에 강인한 DOA 추정알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • Recently, navigation systems based on wireless communication have been applied to the internal structures such as building or ship. If a stable azimuth information is obtained, these systems can effectively guide the direction of the user's progress through the information and then can improve the performance of guidance. Since conventional method which has acquired an azimuth information using geomagnetic and acceleration sensor(azimuth sensor hereafter) is sensitive to the effects of the magnetic field, it has unstable error range according to the surrounding environment. In order to improve these problems, this paper presents a new relative azimuth estimation algorithm using the displacement of a mobile node and its rotation angle based on Wireless communication. For the performance assessment of the proposed algorithm, experiments using rotating arm are performed and the results are confirmed that the proposed system can estimate the relative azimuth without using additional sensors.

Transfer Alignment Using Velocity Matching/Parameter Tuning and Its Performance and Observability Analysis (속도정합 및 매개변수 조정을 사용한 전달정렬의 성능 및 가관측성 분석)

  • This paper considers the transfer alignment in the inertial navigation system which has lever-arm and the time delay in the velocity measurement. We suggest a method to improve the performance of the velocity matching. First, we analyze the estimation performance of the velocity matching through the tuning of the two covariance matrices of process noise and measurement noise. Next we provide some maneuvering conditions of the vehicles to improve the estimation performance using the observability analysis. The analysis results are verified using the computer simulations, which show that cruise movements do not provide the azimuth estimation of the vehicles, while east or north accelerating movement can provide.

  • Kalman filter is generally used in INS/GPS integrated navigation filter. However, the INS with low performance inertia sensor can not find accurate azimuth in initial alignment stage because sensor noise level is too large compare to Earth rotation rate, therefore the performance and stability of Kalman filter can not be guaranteed. In this paper, the extended Kalman filter and particle filter combined filter structure which can be overcome large initial azimuth error is proposed.

  • 본 논문에서는 스테레오 오디오 신호를 이용하여 음원을 분리하는 ADRess 알고리즘을 기반으로, 추정된 음원 방위각에 대한 신호 강도비를 이용하여 분리음원을 생성하는 새로운 분리음원 합성 기법을 제안한다. 입력된 스테레오 채널 신호 간 강도 차(IID) 특성을 이용하여 신호 분석 프레임별로 개선된 신호 강도비 함수에 따른 frequency-azimuth 평면을 구성하고, 이를 통해 추정된 방위각에 상응하는 신호 강도비로 표현되는 확률밀도함수를 좌/우 신호 중 하나의 주 입력 신호에 취함으로써 분리음원을 합성한다. 제안된 기법의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 SASSEC 에서 제공하는 테스트 음원 및 객관적 평가 지표를 이용하여 측정한 결과, 기존 ADRess 알고리즘에서 제시된 방법에 비해 개선된 품질의 분리음원을 합성하는 것으로 평가되었다.

Target Position Correction Method in Monopulse GMTI Radar (GMTI 표적의 위치 보정 방법)

  • GMTI (Ground Moving Target Indication) radar system can detect ground moving targets and can provide position and velocity information of each target. However, the azimuth position of target has some offset because of the hardware errors such as mechanical tolerances. In this case, an error occurs no matter how accurate the monopulse ratio is. In this paper, target position correction method in azimuth direction has been proposed. The received sum and difference signals of monopulse GMTI system are post-processed to correct the target azimuth angle error. This method is simple and adaptive for nonhomogeneous area because it can be implemented by using only software without any hardware modification or addition.

  • In this paper, we propose the calibration method of monopulse slope to minimize the variation of angle estimate in frequency agile noncoherent monopulse system. We analyze the monopulse slope characteristics of antenna and RF receiver including the phase and gain imbalances of each receiving channel and present the calibration method to minimize the phase and gain imbalances of RF receiver channels including antenna. In addition, we present the calibration method using channel switching to minimize the gain imbalance of IF receiver channels. The measured average monopulse slope within the frequency bandwidth is -0.96, the maximum variation of angle estimate is similar to theoretical value, $0.15^{\circ}$ at ${\pm}2^{\circ}$ azimuth and $0.03^{\circ}$ at $0^{\circ}$ azimuth.

Comparison of Active Sonar Systems in Target Positioning Performance (능동 소나망의 표적 탐지 성능 비교)

  • This paper deals with target positioning performance according to active sonar formation and measurement error. Generally, active sonar can be categorized into Monostatic, Bistatic and Multistatic cases and their error characteristics are different each other. In this paper, on the assumption that each receiver has two kinds of measurements; sum of distances, and a angle between receiver and target, we suggest least square(LS) method that combines the two measurements in Multistatic formation, and compare Multistatic case with Monostatic and Bistatic cases. Experimental results show that target positioning RMSE in Multistatic sonar is superior to those in Monostatic and Bistatic sonar by approximately 57%.

소음원 규명 방법론 ; 통합된 개념 및 특성들

  • 소음원의 특성을 규명하는 방법론들을 각각 맵핑의 개념으로 통합하여 살펴 보았다. 방위각 추정 방법론에 근간을 둔 소음원 위치 탐지 방법과 같이 소음원의 등가 단극음원 크기 및 위치들을 추정하는 기본적인 방법들로 부터 보다 많은 계측 기기 및 탐촉자와 함께 상당히 정교한 데이터 처리를 수행하여야 하는 인텐시티를 이용한 음장 맵핑(mapping) 홀로그래피를 이용한 관심음장 전체의 3차원 맵핑 등 실로 다양한 방법을 관찰하였다. 결국은 가장 많은 탐촉자를 사용하는 측정 시스템이 보다 많은 음장의 정보를 제공하므로서 가장 탁월한 방법론이라 할 수 있다는 지극히 자연 스러운 결론을 낼 수 있다. 이것은 특히 탐촉자 자체의 가격이 저렴해져 가는 추세인 점과 소형화하는 추세를 감안하여 봄과 동시에 공간상의 물리적인 의미 즉 파수영역에 대한 보다 폭 넓은 이해를 통한 시간, 공간, 주파수, 파수영역 즉 확대된 차원에서의 음장, 소음에 대한 이해를 갖을 수 있다는 면에서 또다른 가치를 부여할 수 있는 것이다.

Comparison of Multi-Static Sonar Target Positioning Performance (다중상태 소나망 위치 추정 성능 비교)

  • In this paper, we address the target positioning performance of Multi-Static sonar with respect to target positioning method and measurement error. Based on the analysis on two candidate solution approaches, namely, Least Square (LS) using range and angular information simultaneously and Maximum Likelihood (ML) using only range information as the existing information fusion methods for possible application to Multi-Static sonar, we propose to employ ML using range and angular information. Assuming that each sensor can receive range and angular information, we conduct representative comparison experiments over the existing and proposed methods under various measurement noise scenarios. We also investigate the target positioning performance according to number of sensors, distance between transmitter and receiver. According to the experimental results, RMSE of the proposed ML with distance and direction information is found to be more superior to ML using distance alone and to LS in case distance between transmitter and receiver is longer and number of receiver is smaller.
