LED Fiber-Optic Lighting Devices Developed for Medical Assistance for the Local Treatment Retractor (국부치료를 위한 Retractor용 LED 광섬유 의료보조조명 장치 개발)

  • This paper introduces a device providing close local lighting to the affected part, where the operation-purpose astral lamp alone cannot shed light directly, in an operation room of hospitals or clinics, which helps clinical doctors perform safe treatment of the affected part deep inside a human body. This medical assisting lighting is a device necessary to prevent fatal operation failures, which can occur with minute operation processes, such as tumor removal or angiorrhaphy. The components, such as the light source and power supply were designed to be low power consuming and small in size, have a narrow angle lens was used to increase the light spreading effect and focused illumination. The end-caps of the light transmission device using an optical cable and the lighting device were designed in the waterproof type to enable disinfection of these devices after use for the next patients. According to the measurement of the light source properties made after development of the retractor lighting device, the illumination intensity was 490 lux, the brightness was $11,550cd/m^2$, general color rendering index was 78, color temperature was 11,000K, and the intensity distribution was even, which were confirmed to be adequate for medical assisting local lighting.

  • We report on the design of oil-water separators and the selection of materials for the effective application of highly selective membranes fabricated by commercial PET (polyester) fabrics. The waterproof ability of PET fabrics was optimized to improve the separation selectivity. The density of individual PET fabrics should be over $60g/m^2$, and the multi-layered structure is more favorable for the waterproof ability together with maintaining the removal efficiency. For the continuous adsorption and removal process, the rotating perforated cylinder was selected, and covered with membranes. Furthermore, more improved and stable removal efficiency was obtained by installing floating baffles which forces the oil content to move toward membranes.

  • This study investigated and analyzed the symptoms of urinary incontinence and the wearing status, purchase status, and preference for urinary incontinence products in women in their 50s and older. When purchasing urinary incontinence pads and panty, waterproof function and absorption speed were recognized as important. In urinary incontinence products, the most common function was to prevent leakage, and the preferred color was skin. When the number of urinary incontinence was high, the absorption function was considered important. Size or fit was important when the amount of urinary incontinence was small, but waterproof function was found to be important when the amount of urinary incontinence increased. It was hoped that a function to prevent leakage would be added when the incidence of urinary incontinence and the amount of urinary incontinence were high, and a panty-type pad was preferred. It was analyzed that the higher the number of births, the higher the amount of urinary incontinence, and the more frequent symptoms of urinary incontinence appeared. t was found that the earlier menopause, the higher the amount of urinary incontinence.

Development of Integrated Type Main Frame and Downhole Sonde Apparatus for Hydraulic Packer Testing in Seabed Rock under High Water Pressure (고수압 해저지반 수리특성 조사용 일체형 메인 프레임과 공내 측정장치 개발)

  • The accurate and quantitative ground information on the hydraulic conductivity characteristics of rock mass is one of the key factors for evaluation of the hydro-geological behaviour of rock mass around an excavated opening under high water pressure. For tunnel and rock structures in seabed, where the sea acts as an infinite source of water, its importance become greater with increasing construction depth below sea level. In this study, to improve the problems related with poor system configuration and incorrect data acquisition of previous hydraulic packer testing equipment, we newly developed an integrated main frame and 30 bar level waterproof downhole sonde apparatus, which were optimized for deep hydraulic packer test in seabed rock mass. Integration of individual test equipment into one frame allows safe and efficient field testing work on a narrow offshore drilling platform. For the integrated type main frame, it is possible to make precise stepwise control of downhole net injection pressure at intervals of $2.0kg_f/cm^2$ or less with dual hydraulic oil volume controller. To ensure the system performance and the operational stability of the prototype mainframe and downhole sonde apparatus, the field feasibility tests were completed in two research boreholes, and using the developed apparatus, the REV(Representative Elementary Volume) scale deep hydraulic packer tests were successfully carried out at a borehole located in the basalt region, Jeju. In this paper, the characteristics of the new testing apparatus are briefly introduced and also some results from the laboratory and in-situ performance tests are shown.

A study of Double Sheet Multi-forming Equipment (2겹 판재 멀티포밍 장치에 관한 연구)

  • Most motor cases adopt deep drawing products, which are excellent in waterproof functions, concentricity, right angle, and quality. In addition, the blower motor and seat motor, which are installed in the car interior and do not require waterproof function, adopts a multi-forming manufacturing method. The deep drawing process requires an expensive transfer press that can digest approximately 12 processes, such as drawing, trimming and piercing. On the other hand, products can be produced with low investment because the multi-forming method is composed of one multi-forming machine or one multi-forming machine and one press. The multi-forming machine is a high-priced facility that is mostly imported and a bending / shearing process multi-foaming machine, which was developed by domestic small and medium-sized enterprises, is not enough to reduce the production cost. An integral multi - forming machine is used as a limited working method for thin material and small products. A large product and thick material has a high shear load. A large product and thick material has a high shear load and uses a single crank press. After blanking, the worker manually feeds the material to a multi-forming machine. When the bending operation is performed in the multi-forming machine, it is transferred to the press again to calibrate the dimensions. This variance in work processes has resulted in lower cost competitiveness due to the lower productivity, quality issues, and excessive operator input. The aim of this study was to establish a stable and cost - effective production system through bending / shearing process separation and facility automation.

  • It is recognised that a permeability waterproof agent have been extensively used for concrete, in these days. In present paper shows effective practical scheme of a permeability waterproof agent in construction market that is to develope durability of concrete structure as apply to job site through the examination physical and chemical property of a permeability waterproof agent. It is indentified that can be maintain waterproofing performance, moreover it makes satisfactory result of permeation resistance as applying siliceous waterproof agent.

  • This study is to examine adhesion the characteristics of self adhesive asphalt to minimize of the construction periods and the environmental problems through the performance estimation of materials to reduce waterproof problem and the long durability maintenance of building structures. This study tested the estimation items of self rubberized adhesive asphalt to examine the sheet discovered the most important problem in the construction site and the connection stability in the sheet joint. Besides, this study examined the material characteristics such as tension property, tear property, temperature dependence, heat resistance, adhesion stability and so on. Test results of the separative items satisfied in the reference figure of connection stability and adhesion stability which could confirm adhesion performances and other items also satisfied in the reference.

  • There are many factors that generate the early deterioration of the concrete structure. As the one of the representative factors, we can think an invasion of the water, air and so on. The water and air invade in inside void along the capillarity and they become the cause that the durability like corrosion of layer department due to freezing and thawing, inside steel frame corrosion, and so on blacks. Therefore with covering permeability covering waterproofing material of fluid condition in outer wall, intercepting the deterioration factor due to the infiltration of water from outside and for salt damage of concrete layer department, freezing damage and neutralization, it needs to improve durability of structure. This study separately examined physical and chemical specific of quality liguid siliceous of waterproofing material. Therefore as this applys the construction site, it improves the durability of concrete structure. Further this presents the application plan from the construction market against the new material.

  • There is a problem to be solved for improvement of durability and safety for concrete When the waterproofing and anticorrosive work of main concrete are design, the material a of construction need to be correctly applied to appropriate circumstance conditions. Epoxy mostly been used for concrete water tank structure. Lately, lots of subjects on adaption res in mortar for waterproofing and anticorrosive are under discussion. Then, we attempt to approach by evaluating and comparing every capabilities with waterproofing materials in this experiment. Capability evaluation items include the bond age and curing conditions, the bond strength after accelerated weathering test and fret impact resistance, a mount of water, seepage quan Through the experiment analysis, we found that waterproofingtity, drinking water chemicals resistance. and anticorrosive resin mortar used with glass fiber cloth, inorgar material is dominantly superior to other waterproofing materials. According to this paper, we suggest the resin mortar as a new surface treatment material water tank structure.

  • 항로표지용 LED 등명기는 완전방수형 구조이며, 발광형태도 섬광 특성을 가진다. LED 등명기의 색도 및 광도 측정에 있어 섬광형태로 측정하는 것은 그 한계가 있으며, 이에 부동광(연속광)으로 측정이 이루어진다. 이때 중요하게 취급되어져야 할 것이 예열시간이며, 적정한 예열시간 선정에 따라 Field와의 오차를 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 해상용 LED 등명기의 색도 측정 시에 고려해야 하는 예열 시간을 실험을 통하여 산정해 보았다.
