Radiation Perception Analysis of Air Force Manpower Resources (공군 인력자원의 방사선 인식도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of Air Force human resources (Civilian defense manpower, Officer, Noncommissioned officer, Solder) for the radiation perception. The subjects were 259 men and women who visited at the Aerospace Medical Center. As for the method, a survey study was conducted using a questionnaire with a total of 14 questions about radiation perception (risk, benefit, management). For statistical analysis, an independent sample T-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to compare the average of confirm a significant difference among groups. The correlations between variables were tested with Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients. As a result, in the air force human resources, perception of radiation risk of females had a significantly higher awareness than male. Radiation benefits had a significantly higher awareness among married people, military officers, officers, and non-commissioned officers. Radiation control was significantly higher in men, married men, and those with more than 16 years of military experience.

  • 원자력이용시설의 증가와 대형화는 이에 따른 이익 못지않게 위험도 증가되고 있으며 방사선폐기물의 처분 폐로등 인간과 환경을 방사선으로 부너 보호되어야할 안전성 문제가 계속 남아있다. 원자력의 이익과 위험에 대한 분계점을 슬기롭게 다루워 나가는 창조적 인간의 지혜가 속단되는 한 원자력 이용산업은 더욱 발전되어 나갈 것이다.

Effect of Demographic Factors, Radiation Knowledge Level, Radiation Awareness on Radiation Benefit by Hierarchical Regression Analysis Model (위계적 회귀분석 모형에 의한 인구학적 요인, 방사선 지식수준, 방사선 인식도가 방사선 이익성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that demographic factors, radiation knowledge level, and radiation awareness could be affecting the benefits of radiation. From July 2022 to July 2023, after receiving consent to participate by using the link of Naver through Social Network Service (SNS) for the general public, 312 people were surveyed by self-registration method without collecting personal information. The questionnaire consisted of a total of 25 questions following demographic factors (5 questions including age group by life cycle, sex, monthly household income, residence), radiation knowledge level (8 questions including basic physical, biological effects, radiation protection technology), radiation awareness (12 questions including risk, management, benefit). Independent sample T-test and ANOVA tests were performed for significant differences in the average radiation awareness between variables, and hierarchical regression was performed to identify influencing factors on radiation benefits. As a result, the benefit of radiation was significantly high among the radiation awareness, but the awareness of the danger of radiation was insufficient to the level of recognizing it as safe. Men had significantly higher awareness of radiation management and benefits than women, and the awareness of radiation management was significantly higher in the middle class with a monthly household income of 4.31 million won or more. The higher the knowledge level of radiation, the higher the awareness of the benefits of radiation. The factors that had a positive effect on radiation benefits were the high level of radiation knowledge and awareness of radiation management.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship between radiation hazards and radiation benefits effecting on overcoming recognition of Fukushima nuclear disaster (FND) in Japan by using structural equation modeling (SEM). The subjects were 248 undergraduates from one university in Chungbuk province in Korea. From June 1, 2017 to July 30, 2017, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the radiation hazards and radiation benefits and on the overcoming recognition of FND. As a result, it showed that the recognition of radiation hazards has a significant effect on the benefits of radiation, but does not directly affect the overcoming recognition of FND. However, the recognition of radiation benefits has been mediating between radiation hazards perception and the overcoming recognition of FND. Therefore, it can be empirically confirmed that despite the radiation hazards the recognition of overcoming the FND depends on the level of radiation benefits by using the SEM.

  • 방사선방호 및 방사성 폐기물 유출 및 산물에 대한 관리는 새 천년의 공공정책, 종사자교육 및 기술개발에 있어 매우 중요하다. 자유, 지탱능력, 투명성 그리고 기술로부터 오는 이익과 위험에 대한 의사결정에의 대중 참여 등에 대한 가치 남용은 새 천년의 공공 정책 의사결정 체계를 형성하게 될 것이다. 위험의 확인과 평가, 그리고 위험 관리에 대한 의사전달시 초기에 제3자를 개입시키는 것이 유용하다. 특정 환경문제를 더 넓은 공중보건과 생태계의 항목에 포함시키는 것은 모두에게 도움이 될 것이며, 또한 귀중한 자원을 가장 효과적으로 사용하기 위해 더 나은 결정을 도와줄 것이며, 과정과 결과에 대한 대중의 신뢰를 높혀줄 것이다.

  • 이 보고서는 국제원자력기구(IAEA, International Atomic Energy Agency) 회원국의 요청에 의해 매2년마다 발간되는 “원자력 기술 분석(Nuclear Technology Review)을 요약한 것이며, 2005년 말을 기준으로 발간된 것이다. 원 보고서에 포함된 내용은 원자력 발전, 핵융합, 핵연료, 방사성 동위원소 및 방사선, 관련 연구 개발 등에 대한 오늘과 향후 발전상을 검토한 것이나 여기서는 원자력 발전을 중심으로 요약했다. 보다 궁금한 사항은 IAEA 연례보고서인 2006년 Annual Report에서도 볼 수 있으며 홈페이지인 WWW.iaea.org을 방문하여 영어로 된 보고서를 접할 수 있다. 이 보고서를 요약한 것은 IAEA에서 보는 각국 및 세계 원자력의 현황과 전망을 소개함으로써 국내의 많은 원자력 가족 및 원자력산업에 조금이라도 도움이 되었으면 하는 데 있다.

공기정화필터 프레임 재사용과 그에 따른 효과 고찰

  • 방사선관리구역 내에서 발생되는 많은 양(발전소별 연간 약$100{\sim}700$개 정도)의 사용 후 공기정화 필터는 고체 폐기물 드럼의 단면적 보다 넓어 별도로 필터를 압축하거나 분해 작업 없이는 폐기물로 직접 처리가 곤란하다. 처리 시 많은 양의 분진이 발생하여 작업자의 내부피폭 가능성 및 많은 양의 고체 폐기물이 발생할 수 있는 잠재성이 있어 시료분석 결과 오염된 필터 내지는 바로 드럼 처리하여 내부 피폭 가능성을 미연에 방지하고 필터 프레임은 재사용을 유도하여 폐기물 저감화, 작업환경 개선 및 경제적인 이익을 창출할 수 있다. 영광 3발전소와 울진 3발전소의 경우 타 발전소에 비해 방사선관리구역 내 공기정화 처리기의 설치수량이 많아(약 700개/년) 공기정화필터가 매년 다수 발생되고 있으며, 이를 전량 드럼 처리 시 고체폐기물 드럼이 더 발생하게 되어 영구처분비용의 증가를 초래하게 된다. 발전소 전체적으로는 약 3,500개/년의 폐필터가 발생되고 있다. 이렇게 발생되는 공기정화필터의 프레임을 재사용함으로써 그 효과는 1) 알루미늄을 포함한 유리섬유를 드럼처리 시 고체방사성 폐기물드럼 생성량 감소 2) 프레임 재사용으로 인한 예산절감 효과 3) 폐필터 분해작업 시 분진에 의한 작업자 체내${\cdot}$외 피폭방지와 작업장 오염 확산 방지 및 환경 개선 4) 작업시간 단축 및 소요인력 감소 효과를 볼 수 있다.

  • Health care privatization will have a very significant impact on the quality of medical service and income redistribution and risk diversification. This study was conducted to improve the situation without too much insistence that one did not understand the essence rife about the privatization of health care. In this study, grasp the implications of the current health care debate to be privatized, and dealing with the claims accordingly. Seeks to help establish an objective perspective, looking at the pros and cons at the same time claims for medical privatization policy. The Health and diversification through the capitalist market access as part of the transition process is being overlooked as a new growth engine industries. But health care is constrained to follow the growth of universal access and how to deal with life because it is practical conduct of the person. In addition to services that are not only for the benefit of the profit or government institutions.

Radiologic Equipment and Technicians according to the Distribution of the Population (인구 분포에 따른 방사선 장비 및 종사자에 관한 고찰)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to provide basic data in order to systemize the management of demand and supply of radiologic technicians, to pursue a fair regional distribution of educational institutions, and furthermore to keep reasonable medical treatment and fee. This research was carried out through the investigation of radiologic equipments and technicians according to the distribution of the population. Materials and Methods: We compared and analyzed the correlation between regional population, the number of clinics and hospitals, the number of medical imaging devices, and the number of radiologists and radiologic technicians in 5 cities without "Gu" administrative units in 2008. Results: 27,317 radiologic technicians have been produced since the administration of the national qualifying exam for radiologic technicians. About 18,000 radiologic technicians are currently working. There are 39 colleges or universities with Departments of Radiology and the admission quota is 2,120 students excluding one college. The ratio of radiologic equipments to radiologic technicians is 2.6 to 1. Conclusion: There is a dilemma in which some radiologic technicians fail to find appropriate jobs while some clinics or hospitals are in need of radiologic technicians. This dilemma is due to unreasonable regional discrepancies in pay system and welfare situation, and excessive profit-oriented recruiting system of clinics and hospitals. The increase of students of Radiologic Departments and approval of additional departments will end up with producing superfluous high academic degree holders, which is on the contrary to the government policy to produce more job opportunities. So the policy of increasing Radiologic Departments should be reconsidered.

Optimal Radiation Port Arrangements for Hepatic Tumor using 3-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy Planning (3차원입체조형방사선치료 계획 시 간종괴의 위치에 따른 최적 조사 방향의 결정)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the optimal beam arrangements for hepatic tumors, according to the location of the hepatic tumor and its relationship to organs at risk (OARs). The virtual gross tumor volumes were divided into four groups according to the Couinaud's classification. Several plans were made for each virtual target, and these plans were compared for the normal tissue complication probabilities (NTCP). For group I, NTCP improved as the number of the beam ports increased. However, plans with more than 5 ports had little advantage. For group II, plans with the beam directions from the anterior side showed better results. Group III contained many OARs near the target, which placed restrictions on the beam-directions. Multi-directional plans yielded a higher dose to the OARs than a simple two-port plan using right anterior oblique and posterior beam (RAO/PA). For group IV, a simple RAO/PA port plan was adequate for protection of remaining liver. NTCP can significantly vary between radiotherapy plans when the location of the tumor and its neighboring OARs are taken into consideration. The results in this study of optimal beam arrangements could be a useful set of guidelines for radiotherapy of hepatic tumors.
