Rapid variations in the geometry (i.e., thickness) of the refractor and low velocities affect greatly the imaging of the reflectors of land seismic data. Conventional solutions to obtain the weathering models utilizes first break picking method, which requires time consuming steps and causes the human error in picking the first arrivals. A new interferometric approach (interferometric refraction statics, IRS) which utilizes the first arrival signal (S/N enhanced by refraction convolution stack) instead of first break picking, is tested in this study to the synthetic data from the velocity structure provided by surface geophysics (refraction, MASW) and borehole geophysics (tomography, SPS logging) for the Cheongju granitic bodies. The results of IRS approach are found to be better than the ones from conventional first break picking in terms of continuities and horizontal resolution of the reflectors. The unresolved long-wavelength statics in brute stack are much removed by IRS weathering correction and the overlying refractors (the base of shallow weathering zone) are incidentally delineated in the refraction convolution stack.

Although in art an idea which visualizes a certain concept is generally such an essential part as it would be decisive to the success or failure of an art work in reality various difficulties are involved in idea making. Thus, directions for the idea making for visualization works are suggested in this paper. This paper classifies several cases of expression skills among non-abstracts showing the contents which visualize abstract concepts in western art after Renaissance when freedom of individual artistic expression and personal characteristics initiated. Also, this paper selects and introduces art works in which expression skills can be obviously explained. The expression skills are divided into symbolizing, allegory, specific pattern, non-abstract skills of surrealism, metaphysical distortion of logic and situation fixing, and specific examples on how the abstract concepts are formed and delivered are described. This is a case study done for the purpose of supplying help for the idea making in the applied art field which is lack of this kind of study.

NGE(Nested Generalized Exemplar Method) can increase the performance of the noisy data at the same time, can reduce the size of the model. It is the optimal distance-based classification method using a matching rule. NGE cross or overlap hyperrectangles generated in the learning has been noted to inhibit the factors. In this paper, We propose the DHGen(Dominant Hyperrectangle Generation) algorithm which avoids the overlapping and the crossing between hyperrectangles, uses interval weights for mixed hyperrectangles to be splited based on the mutual information. The DHGen improves the classification performance and reduces the number of hyperrectangles by processing the training set in an incremental manner. The proposed DHGen has been successfully shown to exhibit comparable classification performance to k-NN and better result than EACH system which implements the NGE theory using benchmark data sets from UCI Machine Learning Repository.

Through the Korea-Germany joint project, a novel method, that is, an optical Corescanner (Stereophotogramrnetry) of acquisition, evaluation and display of struct-ural elements of drill cores has heen realized. AH scannable cores can he digitally stored on a storage device(dat tape, optical disc etc.) and available for further an-alysis using diverse software facilities. The use of this scanning technique was d-emonstrated on the cores derived from the metamorphosed sedimentary rocks in our country. Recent studies showed a great potential of using the Corescanner with high resolution not only for avoiding ambiguities of drill log interpretation due to the capability of accurate quantative analysis of structural elements, but also for replacing the cores themselves as a data-base one via completely copying of the core outlook.

해외건설업의 경영은 지리적$\cdot$문화적 차이, 환경의 다양성, 통제불가능 변수의 존재 등 여러 가지의 불확실성 등으로 인해 국내에서의 건설업 경영보다 어려우며 그마만큼 현지화의 정착이 어렵다고 하겠다. 따라서 당해지역에 기진출 또는 진출하고자 하는 투자기업이 현지에서 국내 기업과 마찬가지로 하나의 기업으로 정착하여 현지에서의 경제적$\cdot$사회적$\cdot$정치적 변화에 능동적으로 대처하고 현지 사회와의 조화로운 성장을 도모할 수 있도록 하는 것이 현지화가 바라는 궁극적인 목적이 되겠다. 이에따라 우리 기업이 해외시장에 현지화를 도모하기 위해서는 현지의 관습, 문화 등을 충분히 숙지하고 거기에 알맞는 제반 경영관리 기법을 개발하는 등 국제 경영능력을 배양하지 않으면 안된다. 이것이 바로 현지화와 직결되는 과제라고 할수 있겠다. 이에 해외건설협회와 경제연구소에서는 해외건설진흥기금 지원사업의 일환으로 건설업 개별기업이 해외 현지화를 정착시키는데 일조가 되고자 $\ulcorner$해외건설의 현지화 정착 방안$\lrcorner$을 마련하였다. 이 내용을 본지에서는 발췌$\cdot$정리, 게재하여 해외 진출에 뜻이 있는 우리 설비업계에 도움을 주고자 한다.

This Study is the summary of studies in analysis of‘Lecture Evaluation’made at H university where such evaluation for every course established has been carried out since 1990. This contains the contents of questionnaire drawn up through OMR scanner which has 7 fields with 10 items respectively. to investigate the general direction of the results, results of evaluation by lectures, different results of evaluation by fields, and the like. I applied such techniques of statistical analysis as T-test, analysis of variance table(Anova-table), and Regression analysis to examine the most important factor of successful lecturing.

Game Software is the high-value industry that is based on fun elements. To develop Game Software successfully, the method for systematically classifying and searching about fun elements needs. However, fun elements of game are still made by game developers 'experience', and have ambiguities about what are considered at development phase because of difference between viewpoints and definitions about them. We structured 9 groups and 34 fun elements after that 50 fun elements elicited from existing literature are classifies and refines by statistical analysis. And we found a omitted area with the result that the classified elements are applied to Roger Callois's Theory. Finally, we elicited new elements of omitted areas from web site and searched 1 group and 4 fun elements.

The consumer price index (CPI) data is one of the important economic measurement of the country. In this article, the Autoregressive Error (ARE) model has been considered for analyzing the monthly CPI data at Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, and Gwangju Cities in Korea, In the ARE model, nine economic variables are used as the explanatory variables for the CPI data set. The nine explanatory variables are CCI (coincident composite index), won-dollar rate, producer price index, oil import price, oil import volume, international current account, import price index, unemployment rate, and amount of currency. The result showed that the monthly ARE models explained about 46-52% for describing the CPI.

Urban conditions such as underground facilities and ambient noises due to cultural activity restrict the application of conventional geophysical techniques in general. We used the refraction microtremor (REMI) technique as an alternative way to get the geotechnical information, in particular shear-wave (S-wave) velocity information, at a site along an existing rail road. The REMI method uses ambient noises recorded using standard refraction equipment to derived shear-wave velocity information at a site. It does a wavefield transformation on the recorded wavefield to produce Rayleigh wave dispersion curve, which are then picked and modeled to get the shear-wave velocity structure. At this site the vibrations from the running trains provided strong noise sources that allowed REMI to be very effective. REMI was performed along the planned new underground rail tunnel. In addition, Suspension PS logging (SPS) were carried out at selected boreholes along the profile in order to draw out the quantitative relation between the shear wave velocity from the PS logging and the rock mass rating (RMR) determined from the inspection of the cores recovered from the same boreholes, These correlations were then used to relate the shear-wave velocity derived from REMI to RMR along the entire profile. The correlation between shear wave velocity and RMR was very good and so it was possible to estimate the RMR of the total zone of interest for the design of underground tunnel,
