tumors. We report a primary cardiac myxosarcoma in a 40-year-old female patient who was admitted to the hospital because of exertional dyspnea and palpitation. The patient underwent emergency operation immediately after the intracardiac (left atrium) tumor was discovered by an echocardiography. Palliative tumor removal was done and final Pathologic diagnosis was primary cardiac myxosarcoma. She was discharged without complications.

The incidence of pulmonary leiomyosarcoma as primary lung tumor is very rare. Most of the primary leiomyosarcomas originate in the hilar region in relation to the main bronchus or pulmonary vessels and only a few originate more peripherally. This rare tumor can mimic bronchial carcinoma and present with local or systemic symptoms, or it may be discovered as an incidental finding on a routine chest X-ray. We report with review of literature, a case of incidental primary pulmonary leiomyosarcoma which originated peripherally. Huge mass was found on the left lung of a 61-year-old man on the chest X-ray peripherally. He underwent the surgical resection of the left pneumonectomy and the postoperative course was uneventful.

Fundamental frequency is controlled by contraction of both TA and CT muscle. While activity of the CT is known well, little is known regarding the effect of the TA muscle on vocal fold vibration. To study this, a previously developed in vivo canine laryngeal model was modified. Isolated TA muscle activation was obtained by stimulating sectioned terminal TA branches through small thyroid cartilage windows. The results indicated that TA muscle activation is a major determinant in vocal register shift from falsetto to modal phonation. F0 increased with increasing TA activation in modal register, On the other hand, the F0 decreased with TA activation when the evoked voice belonged to falsetto register. Subglottic pressure increased gradually and OQ decreased gradually with TA activation.

The study was aimed at finding an effective use of para-languages, which are important to communicate the meaning of the korean choral music. Para-language is a nonverbal communication that contributes to the delivery of a more expressive language. In choral music, vocalization and diction are important para-languages. Until now, the conductors emphasized vocalization rathe than diction while focusing musical expression in chorus. However, vocalization and diction are not distinct. This study suggested effective choral vocalization and diction technique through the convergence of experience as conductor and knowledge of communication theory.

Primary neuroendocrine carcinomas of the breast are a rare, distinct category of breast carcinomas that require immunohistochemical staining for diagnosis. Currently, there is not enough evidence on the clinical pattern, prognosis, and proper management of the disease. Only few case series have described the imaging findings of neuroendocrine carcinomas of the breast. We herein present a case of a primary neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast (small cell) presenting as a locally aggressive tumor with metastatic disease, and describe the radiologic findings.

A primary malignant melanoma of the vagina is a very rare gynecological malignant tumor. Its clinical behavior is more aggressive than that of cutaneous and vulvar melanomas. We present a case of a large sized primary melanoma of the lower third of the vagina, with a cervical lesion, in a 58-year-old postmenopausal woman. The patient was treated with conventional external radiation therapy and intracavitary radiotherapy (ICR), without surgical treatment. Although the primary lesion showed a partial response, the patient died of extensive metastases, which were found 4.5 months after the initial diagnosis. We suggest that shortening the treatment period, such as hypofractionated radiation therapy and surgical removal, and various systemic therapies for preventing early distant metastasis, are appropriate treatments for a primary malignant melanoma of the vagina, with a large tumor size.

Multiple primary malignant neoplasm of the combination of the musculoskeletal system and the gastrointestinal system were very rare. A case of synchronous double primary malignant neoplasm consisted of myxofibrosarcoma of forearm and adenocarcinoma of rectum in a 52 year-old man was found. The patient had pain and swelling on forearm for 1 year. Histologically, the lesion on forearm showed myxofibrosarcoma. In systemic evaluation, the adenocarcinoma of rectum was found by the sigmoidoscopy, and metastasis on lung and intracardiac mass were found by the CT scan. We performed surgical excision and pre and postoperative chemotherapy after pathologic confirmation. He died of pulmonary thromboembolism after postoperative 2 months. We report this case of exceedingly rare combination of the musculoskeletal system and the gastrointestinal system.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the usage of voice scripting for speech characterization. The ultimate goal of acting is for an actor to create one's character both in physical and vocal sense, and to present them on stage. Toward this goal, actors train themselves with various methods and techniques as well as character analysis. Most of their efforts are put into for better physical and vocal expression. The vocal characterization on stage is heavily governed by the proper speech based on the effective respiration and voice. This paper provides the way of how to use sound scoring for effective vocal characterization on stage.

Military helicopter is exposed to the enemy gun firing due to the low altitude flight of contour flight, hovering & nap of the Earth flight, therefore it has the high possibility to be exploded by the gun firing. Recently the Anti-ballistic requirement is required to get the high level of safety from gun firing in required operational capability. The first military utility helicopter of SURION has the Anti-ballistic requirement and explosion proof. In order to meet the requirement, OBIGGS is adopted for the first time in KUH. It is proven that Anti-Explosion capability is satisfied to requirement for improving vent system which was insufficiently designed in development period and related to Anti-explosion.

Primary pericardial malignant mesothelioma is a lethal and rare cardiac neoplasm of mesodermal origin. Most cases are associated with history of pericarditis with constriction and/or tamponade. Authors experienced a case of primary pericardial malignant mesothelioma in a 55-year old female who had suffered from dyspnea and chest pain. Pericardial nodules revealed intense uptake by FDG-PET scan and confirmed as primary pericardial malignant mesothelioma by thoracoscopic biopsy. Here we report this case with a brief review of the relevant literatures.
