Analysis of Particle Motion in Quadrupole Dielectrophoretic Trap with Emphasis on Its Dynamics Properties (사중극자 유전영동 트랩에서의 입자의 동특성에 관한 연구)

  • Dielectrophoresis (DEP) is defined as the motion of suspended particles in solvent resulting from polarization forces induced by an inhomogeneous electric field. DEP has been utilized for various biological applications such as trapping, sorting, separation of cells, viruses, nanoparticles. However, the analysis of DEP trapping has mostly employed the period-averaged ponderomotive forces while the dynamic features of DEP trapping have not been attracted because the target object is relatively large. Such approach is not appropriate for the nanoscale analysis in which the size of object is considerably small. In this study, we thoroughly investigate the dynamic response of trapping to various system parameters and its influence on the trapping stability. The effects of particle conductivity on its motion are also focused.

Two-dimensional numerical experiment considering cohort size and wood jam characteristic on driftwood (유목의 유입규모와 군집특성을 고려하는 2차원 수치모의 실험)

  • In this study, the two-dimensional flow model, Nays2DH, and driftwood dynamics model were combined to analyze the flow and driftwood behavior depending on the characteristics of the inflow of driftwood and the length of the driftwood stem. In particular, the Dashpot-spring model was added to the driftwood dynamics model to simulate the collision motion of the driftwood, and the wood jam characteristics by the collision of the driftwood were compared. As a result of the simulation, the pass rate of the obstacle section, the travel distance of wood jam, and the mean position of the wood pieces were respondent sensitively by the length of the driftwood stem, but the cohort size of the driftwood supply was insignificant excepting for the pass rate. Through this study, we could understand the interaction between hydraulic structures and driftwood, and through this, it is believed that it will be helpful in establishing a durable maintenance plan for hydraulic structures by predicting the transport and jam formation phenomena of driftwood in advance.

A Study on the Age Degradation Kinetics of Pole Transformer Oil (주상변압기 절연유의 경년열화반응 속도론에 관한 연구)

  • In the paper, aging of insulating oil in pole transformer has been studied by performing accelerated thermal aging test. Dissolved gases were extracted by air bubbling method. Concentration of dissolved gases were modified by extraction ratio of each gases in insulating oil. Aging of insulating materials were proceeded by thermal degradation and oxidation reaction. Both of the reactions followed zeroch order kinetics. Formation rate equations for hydrocarbons, carbon oxides, and hydrogen were derived. It was conformed by gas analysis and UV-Visible spectrophotometric method that iron core and copper coil in pole transformer act as catalyst during the aging process.

  • This study was performed an evaluation of mechanical properties of reactive powder concrete using copper slag. So, various RPC containing copper slag were made by replacement ratio of copper slag and different the curing condition and their mechanical properties were investigated. From the experimental results, slump flow using copper slag tends to increase with replacement ratio. And also, 30% of copper slag with quartz sand was found to have a compressive strength superior to that of plain.

  • This study is related to the investigation of the characteristics of phase transfer catalysts on the addition reaction of carbon dioxide and phenyl glycidyl ether(PGE). Quaternary ammonium salts showed a good conversion of PGE at l atm of $CO_2$. Among the quaternary ammonium salts tested, the ones with higher alkyl chain length and with more hydrophilic counter anion showed higher catalytic activity. Polyethylene glycol and crown ether were also effective catalysts when they are used with NaI. High pressure of $CO_2$increased the conversion of PGE by increasing solubility of $CO_2$in NMP. A mechanism of the reaction involving the role of phase transfer catalyst was also proposed.

  • 스웰 등 장주기파랑은 높은 에너지를 갖고 있어서 바람이 없어도 에너지가 사라지지 않고 전파되어 항만에 이르게 되고, 차폐된 항내수역에서 파고가 증폭되어 대형선박의 접이안과 하역작업을 중단시키는 경제적 손실을 야기한다. 본 실험은 대규모 개발에 따른 장주기 파랑에 의한 반응특성과 부진동의 영향을 검토하였다. 특히, 항만확장외에 외역에 추가적 개발을 위한 매립을 고려하여 항만정온도와 장주기 반응 특성을 파악하여 가능한 대책방향을 검토하고자 하였다.

  • 차량의 충격과 진동을 완화하고 링크의 조정역할을 하는 Rubber Bushing제품의 내구성이 약하게 되면 Control arm에서의 이탈사고나 차량의 떨림, 소음으로 인한 고객 불만이 발생하게 된다. 따라서, 국내외 시장에서의 경쟁력 향상을 위해 Rubber Bushing에 대한 내구성, 정특성, 동특성의 개선을 위한 기술의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 Rubber Bushing을 개발하는데 있어서 종전의 재료설계, 형상설계 및 공정설계에 대한 분석을 행하고, 실험계획법(DOE)을 활용하여 가장 적은 샘플의 시험으로 최적의 설계요소를 찾아내는 방법을 연구하는데 있다. Bushing의 품질특성이 재료, 형상 및 공정에서 어떠한 조건을 가질 때 특성치가 가장 높은 바람직한 반응을 얻을 수 있는 가를 연구하여 최적반응 조건을 결정하고자 한다.
