A development of the Automatic Measuring System for internal pressure of the artillery (화포 내부 압력의 자동 측정시스템 개발)

  • Chemicals, such as ammunition, are disposable items that cannot be reused because of their operational characteristics. The reliability of the test process and test results are important factors in evaluating the performance of guns and ammunition. The pressure after firing is a crucial value in an acceptance test of guns and ammunition performance; hence, accurate measurements are required. The pressure in the artillery is measured using the copper crusher gauge. The compression amount of copper is converted into a pressure by either a length-pressure conversion table or conversion formula. Therefore, the exact measurement of the squeeze of the copper crusher is related directly to the correct estimate of the pressure. Currently, the pressure is measured manually by the operator, which always includes some human error. In this study, the cause of the measurement error was analyzed, and the automatic measuring system for copper crusher deformation was developed to minimize the error elements. A copper crusher could be measured using the probe sensor and CCD camera, and the Jig for stable positioning was also designed. A designated SW was also developed for the system operating and measurement-analysis. This measuring system through this study may be used for an ammunition stockpile reliability test and gun/ammunition acceptance test.

A Study on GPU-based Iterative ML-EM Reconstruction Algorithm for Emission Computed Tomographic Imaging Systems (방출단층촬영 시스템을 위한 GPU 기반 반복적 기댓값 최대화 재구성 알고리즘 연구)

  • Purpose: The maximum likelihood-expectation maximization (ML-EM) is the statistical reconstruction algorithm derived from probabilistic model of the emission and detection processes. Although the ML-EM has many advantages in accuracy and utility, the use of the ML-EM is limited due to the computational burden of iterating processing on a CPU (central processing unit). In this study, we developed a parallel computing technique on GPU (graphic processing unit) for ML-EM algorithm. Materials and Methods: Using Geforce 9800 GTX+ graphic card and CUDA (compute unified device architecture) the projection and backprojection in ML-EM algorithm were parallelized by NVIDIA's technology. The time delay on computations for projection, errors between measured and estimated data and backprojection in an iteration were measured. Total time included the latency in data transmission between RAM and GPU memory. Results: The total computation time of the CPU- and GPU-based ML-EM with 32 iterations were 3.83 and 0.26 see, respectively. In this case, the computing speed was improved about 15 times on GPU. When the number of iterations increased into 1024, the CPU- and GPU-based computing took totally 18 min and 8 see, respectively. The improvement was about 135 times and was caused by delay on CPU-based computing after certain iterations. On the other hand, the GPU-based computation provided very small variation on time delay per iteration due to use of shared memory. Conclusion: The GPU-based parallel computation for ML-EM improved significantly the computing speed and stability. The developed GPU-based ML-EM algorithm could be easily modified for some other imaging geometries.

  • 하천 지형은 흐름과 유사거동에 의한 세굴 또는 퇴적에 의하여 끊임없이 변한다. 이 연구에서는 최근 하천지형의 변화가 크게 일어나고 있는 한강 신곡수중보 직하류 우안의 고수부지 형성 이력에 대한 조사 및 분석을 실시하였다. 조사결과, 1981년 이전까지 하중도(제주초도)가 안정된 형태로 존재하였으나, 1980년대 중반을 거치면서 하중도는 소멸되었고 1990년대 중반 이후부터 우안에 비슷한 규모의 고수부지가 생성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이 고수부지의 형성과정을 평가하면 다음과 같다. 1) 초기단계(흐름 변화에 따른 이동사주의 정지): 1995년 이전까지는 하천 내 자연적/인위적 교란에도 불구하고 이열사주 형태의 이동상이 유지되다가 1995년 이후 1988년 준공된 신곡수중보의 직.간접적인 영향을 받는다. 이로 인한 하중도의 소멸이 가중되면서부터 신곡수중보 직하류 우안의 이동사주가 정지하기에 이른다. 2) 성장단계(조석에 따른 부유사 반복 퇴적): 이동상 사주가 정지된 뒤 매일 2회씩 반복되는 조석의 영향을 받은 고농도의 부유사가 정지된 사주 위에 반복되어 퇴적되는 양상이 일어난다. 3) 정착단계(정지사주의 고수부지화): 정지사주에서 부유사가 퇴적하고 갈대와 같은 초본류 식생이 활착하게 되면서 부유사 퇴적은 가중되어 간다. 이러한 과정에서 1999년과 같은 대홍수 때 부유사의 고수부지 내 퇴적이 결정적이었을 것이다. 4) 확장단계(고수부지 확장단계): 대홍수 때 고수부지의 퇴적과 아울러 산재하던 버드나무가 교란을 받아 고수부지에서 새로운 버드나무 군락의 터전을 이루어 밀생하게 된다. 향후 고수부지가 잠기는 규모의 홍수가 빈발할 경우 퇴적층의 유실보다는 부유사 퇴적이 많아져 고수부지는 확장단계에 접어들게 된다.70{\sim}90$ 시간 동안 실험을 수행하였다. 세굴의 측정은 투명한 아크릴로 제작된 수제 내부에 CC카메라를 수제 전 후면 및 측면에 설치하여 월류수제의 세굴 발생을 실시간으로 측정하며 동시에 수제의 각 면에 각각 3개의 압력센서를 설치하여 압력분포를 측정함으로써, 월류수제 주변의 압력변화에 따른 세굴심의 실시간 변화를 비교할 수 있도록 하였다. 수심이 연중 $25{\sim}35m$를 유지하는 H호의 경우 간헐식 폭기장치를 가동하는 기간은 물론 그 외 기간에도 취수구의 심도를 표층 10m 이하로 유지 할 경우 전체 조류 유입량을 60% 이상 저감할 수 있을 것으로 조사되었다.심볼 및 색채 디자인 등의 작업이 수반되어야 하며, 이들을 고려한 인터넷용 GIS기본도를 신규 제작한다. 상습침수지구와 관련된 각종 GIS데이타와 각 기관이 보유하고 있는 공공정보 가운데 공간정보와 연계되어야 하는 자료를 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 단계별 구축전략이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 상습침수구역관련 정보를 검색, 처리 및 분석할 수 있는 상습침수 구역 종합정보화 시스템을 구축토록 하였다.N, 항목에서 보 상류가 높게 나타났으나, 철거되지 않은 검전보나 안양대교보에 비해 그 차이가 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다.의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을

The Study on an Using Effect of Head Mounted Display to the Body in Virtual Environments (가상환경에서의 HMD사용이 인체에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The focus of this study is to investigate how personal display system - Head Mounted Display(HMD) and VDU-affect to the body in virtual environments. This prediction was tested by a comparing of playing 3D games while wearing a HMD and monitoring a VDU for an hour. As quantitative measuring and analyzing tools, SSQ, RSSQ, pre and post posture stability test and vision test are used. The results showed that SSQ and RSSQ total score (TS) are related with the results of pre and post posture stability test and SSQ and RSSQ TS of HMD is higher than TS of VDU by one point five times. Especially, TS of MRG3C, having large field of view, has a possibility by two times of simulator sickness (SS). And in order to investigate the degree of SS regarding to the simulator control condition, two conditions, subjective-passive and subjective-active environments were compared. However, there was no significant difference between two environments. The repetition of the same environment has no effect to reduce the SS. Disorientation and oculomotor scores of the SSQ and RSSQ are higher than that of another symptoms. In addition, RSSQ score of strain/confusion is higher than that of nausea. Therefore, we assume that personal fear could possibly increase the simulator sickness in virtual environments.

  • This study applied a props-based exercise program for 12 weeks to women in their mid-50s in rural areas who complained of back pain, and applied VAS (visual analogue scale), static balance ability left and right, front and back, and sensory movement. Ability Physical stability The left and right, before and after physical changes were investigated. The study subjects were randomly assigned to an experimental group (EG) of 24 people and a control group (CG) of 20 people. For the homogeneity test between the experimental group and the control group, an independent t-test was conducted to analyze the significant difference in average. When homogeneity was secured, two-way ANOVA repeated measures ANOVA was performed. As a result, there was an interaction effect between the group and the 12 weeks period. However, the VAS between periods within the group, static balance ability left and right, before and after, and sensorimotor ability and body stability left and right, before and after showed improved results with significant average differences. After 12 weeks between groups, the experimental group showed significant improvement effects in all variables.

Conductive Performance of Mortar Containing Fe-Activated Biochar (Fe에 의해 활성화된 목질계 바이오차를 혼입한 모르타르의 전도성능)

  • This study was conducted to examine the feasibility of using Fe-activated wood-derived biochar as a conductive filler for manufacturing cement-based strain sensor. To evaluate the compressive and electrical properties of cement composite with 3% Fe-activated biochar, three cubic specimens of size 50 x 50 x 50mm3 and three prismatic cement-based sensors of size 40 x 40 x 80mm3 were prepared respectively. The four-probe method of electrical resistance measurement was used for cement-based sensors. For cement-based sensors with FE-activated biochar, the conductive performance such as electrical resistance and impedance under different water content and repeated compression was investigated. Results showed that the fractional changes in the DC electrical resistivity of cement-based sensors increase with increasing time and the maximum fractional changes in the resistivity decrease with increasing the moisture contents during 900s. At moisture content of 7.5% range, the conductive performance of cement composite including 3% Fe-activated biochar as a conductive filler showed the most stable, while the strain detection ability tended to decrease somewhat as the repeated compressive stress increased between repeated compressive strain and fractional change in resistivity (FCR).

2010 Inter-laboratory Comparison Study on Nutrient Analysis in Seawater (2010년 국내 해수 중 영양염 분석 실험실간 상호비교실험 연구)

  • An inter-laboratory comparison campaign on nutrient analysis in seawater was carried out in 2010. Sets of three sterilized seawater samples (Bottle 130, 131, 132) which have enough homogeneity and stability were distributed to 10 laboratories. Participants analyzed the nutrients in their own laboratories (nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, and silicate) at least 5 times and reported the results. Statistical treatments were applied to the results to assess the precision for each laboratory and the discrepancy among laboratories. Most laboratories show within 10% of precision in all nutrient results. Degrees of scattering described as discrepancy among laboratories and relative percent difference values were 4~63% and 0.04~2217%, respectively. The statistical analysis shows that the difference among the laboratories may due to the systematic error rather than random error. When the results were corrected by the results of bottle 130 as a reference material, the degrees of scattering and the relative percent difference were improved significantly. As a result, since most participants show satisfactory precision for nutrient analyses, a use of reference materials which have homogeneity and stability was strongly recommended to improve the comparability of nutrient data.

Fabrication of $In_2O_3$-based oxide semiconductor thick film ozene gas sensor ($In_2O_3$ 계 산화물 반도체형 후막 오존 가스센서의 제조)

  • $In_2O_3$-based thick films for the ozone detection of ppb range have been investigated. The $In_2O_3$ sensing layer is quite sensitive to ozone, but the saturated stable sensitivity cannot be obtained at the ozone exposure of 100 ppb for 5 min. The addition of $Fe_2O_3$ into $In_2O_3$ indicates some improvement in response time and sensitivity, but it seems the improvement is not good enough for real applications. Firing of $In_2O_3$:$Fe_2O_3$ powder induces remarkable improvement in response and recovery, although the sensitivity decrease. The sensing layer fired at $1300^{\circ}C$ and operated $550^{\circ}C$ shows excellent properties of fast response time, saturated stable sensitivity and rapid recovery characteristics to 100 ppb ozone exposure for 5 min. Especially, it shows the reproducibility of the sensor signal for repeated measurements and the linearity between the ozone concentration and the sensor resistance. The preliminary results clearly demonstrated that the sensor can be successfully applied for the ozone detection of ppb range.

THE EFFECT OF SACROOCCIPITAL TECHNIQUE CATEGORY II BLOCKING ON ABDOMINAL MUSCLE ENDURANCE AND SHOULDER PAIN (S.O.T CATEGORY II BLOCKING이 복근지구력과 어깨 통증에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine whether the sacrooccipital category II blocking technique may improve abdominal muscle endurance and alleviate shoulder pain caused by pelvic tilting. Methods: A total of 50 subjects diagnosed with category II sacroiliac joint instability and lower back pain were randomly assigned to the control or treatment group. The sacrooccipital technique category II blocking procedure (2-min duration) was performed 3 times a week until the category II indicator of joint instability had subsided. The control subjects were subjected to a sham procedure of equal duration and frequency. We assessed abdominal muscle endurance using the partial curl-up test and shoulder pain using a visual analogue scale, before and immediately after the intervention and 2 weeks after the intervention. Results: On two-way analysis of variance with repeated measures on time factor, significant treatment and interaction effects on muscle endurance were found. A significant interaction effect, but not treatment effect, was found for shoulder pain. Post hoc test showed that the shoulder pain was reduced immediately after intervention (treated group) and 2weeks (control and treated group) after the intervention as compared to before the intervention. Conclusions: This study suggests that sacrooccipital category II blocking can be used to alleviate shoulder pain caused by pelvic instability. The mechanisms behind the long-term benefits may include an increase in abdominal muscle endurance.

진공조건에 따른 Parylene 코팅박막의 투명도 평가

  • Parylene 코팅은 다결정인 고분자 유기물에 열을 가하여 기화시켜 진공상태에서 피사체를 코팅하는 것으로 마이크로 두께 단위의 유전체 증착하는 것이다. Parylene 코팅은 주로 Display를 비롯한 태양전지, 반도체 등에서 다양한 산업분야에서 이용되며, 이 때 외부로부터 침투하는 수분을 방지하고, 전기적 절연 및 불순물로부터 피사체를 보호하여 기계적인 안정성을 목적으로 사용된다. Display와 태양전지는 빛을 이용하는 분야로써 Parylene을 투과하여 들어오는 빛의 전달효율에 따른 영향이 크게 고려되어진다. 빛의 전달효율을 높이기 위해서는 Parylene의 높은 투명도가 중요한 요소로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 Parylene 코팅 박막의 투명도 상승을 위해 증착 시 다양한 진공조건으로 실험을 진행하였다. Parylene 코팅 시, 진공도에 따른 투명도를 평가하기 위해 Substrate로는(100%)투과율을 가지는 재질의 glass를 이용하였다. Parylene 종류로는 반도체분야에 주로 이용되는 C-type의 Parylene Polymer 사용하였다. 증착 조건으로는 $7{\sim}8{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr, $4{\sim}6{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr, $2{\sim}3{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr의 각각 다른 진공 조건에서 120분간 증착시켜 Parylene 코팅막을 형성하였다. 또한 높은 투습방지력을 가짐과 동시에 고투명도 유지에 대해 신뢰성평가를 하기위해 각 조건별로 1회, 3회, 5회 반복 증착하였다. 제작된 각 시편의 투명도 측정을 위해 광도계(DX-100, TAKEMURA)를 이용하여 빛의 투과율을 관찰하였다. 그 결과 진공도 $2{\sim}3{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr, $4{\sim}6{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr, $7{\sim}8{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr순의 시편이 높은 투과율을 나타내었으며, 그 중 $2{\sim}3{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr의 1회 증착 한 시편이(97%)로 가장 높은 투과율을 나타내었다. 반대로 $7{\sim}8{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr의 5회 증착 한 시편이(78%)로 가장 낮은 투과율을 보였다. 따라서 진공도가 높을수록 투명도가 상승하며, 증착횟수가 늘어날수록 투명도가 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로 Parylene 코팅의 진공도에 따른 투명도를 평가함으로써 Parylene 코팅 증착조건 최적화를 위한 기초자료로 이용될 것이라 사료된다. 또한 후속 연구로써 substrate의 온도조절과 시료량의 조절이 이루어진다면 좀 더 효율적으로 최적화된 박막형성이 가능할 것이라 판단된다.
