  • This study aims on finding a direction of desirable space organization of future elementary school in Korea by analyzing current status of space organization of elementary school in Japan. In this study comparison and analysis of curriculum of Korea and Japan, facility standards on national level and standards of national subsidy, current status of number of schools and students, transition of changes in facility area of elementary school for last 10 years are included. In Korea and Japan each 7 elementary schools which were constructed after 2007 and are good in space organization and school planning are selected. The comparison and analysis of satisfaction level on physical educational conditions and facilities such as current status of space organization and how to use them are conducted in this study. The contents of analyzing space organization are 'entry and placement, outdoor space', 'space program' and 'phase structure and organization of unit space'.

  • This study dealt with autonomic microcapsules with the healing agent for damage repair of the composite structures. Autonomic microcapsules were made of a urea-formaldehyde resin for shell of microcapsule and a DCPD for the healing agent. Thermal analysis was conducted by using a DSC and a TGA for the healing agent, microcapsules without the healing agent, and microcapsules with the healing agent. According to the results, autonomic microcapsules were verified to be so thermally stable that the healing agent was kept inside the microcapsule until the shell of microcapsules were burned out.

  • This study dealt with the manufacturing process of self-healing microcapsules for damage repair in polymeric composites. The microcapsule was consisted with a DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) as the healing agent and a urea-formaldehyde resin as the wall section. The size distribution of microcapsules were measured by a particle size analyzer using a laser diffraction technique. Thermal stability of microcapsules was investigated by using a TGA under continuous and isothermal heating conditions. According to the results, these microcapsules were verified to be to thermally stable and have a great potential to be applicable for damage repair in polymeric composites.

  • Manufacturing process for autonomic microcapsules was introduced and autonomic microcapsules were manufactured by varying with various manufacturing process variables. Urea-formaldehyde resin was used for the wall of microcapsules and DCPD (dicyclopentadiene) was used for the self-healing agent. The characteristics of these microcapsules was evaluated through a particle size analyaer, an optical microscope, and a TGA. The various manufacturing process variables, such as pH and agitation speed of the emulsified solution, were considered to focus in this study. According to the results, the particle size distributions were affected on the agitation speed of the emulsified solution, and the thermal stability was influenced by pH of the emulsified solution.

  • This study focused on the introduction of the self-healing technique for polymeric composites and evaluated the healing efficiency through the interlainar fracture toughness tests. The DCPD and ENB were used for a healing agent and the Grubbs' catalyst as a catalyst. The healing efficiency was evaluated by the use of mode I and the mode n fracture toughnesses. According to the results, the DCPD-ENB mixture with a suitable ratio revealed better healing efficiency than DCPD only.

  • In this study, bond strengths for the self-healing agents were evaluated through the modified lap shear test in order to suggest the optimal healing conditions for the repair of polymeric composites. The healing agents of DCPD, ENB, and their mixtures were activated with Grubbs' catalysts. According to the results, the mixture of DCPD and ENB gave better opportunity than DCPD only due to the rapid acivation with catalyst in view of the economic and practical use.

  • Walking on split-belt treadmill has been applied to study walking disabilities, such as osteoarthritis (OA), to show asymmetric walking characteristics. In this study, we compared asymmetric walking in OA patients with healthy subjects under split-belt conditions and examined the reproduction of walking asymmetry in OA. Seven OA patients were instructed to walk at four frequencies, while four healthy subjects walked on a treadmill with tied-belt and split-belt conditions. To compare walking asymmetries, kinetic and kinematic measurements were made using force-plates and motion capture cameras, and subsequently center of mass (CoM) velocity, mechanical work and potential energy were calculated. Horizontal velocity change during split-belt walking of healthy subjects was similar to OA patients. Difference of mechanical work during single support phase occurred due to fall of CoM in fast belt. OA walking asymmetry could be reproduced by reducing differences of belt speeds to prevent rapid fall of CoM.

  • The age and growth of flathead grey mullet, Mugil cephalus, were studied using samples collected from the coastal water of Yeosu from September 2009 to August 2010. Spawning season estimated from the gonadosometic index (GSI) was from November to January. A method for increasing the readability of the otolith was described and criteria for the interpretation of otolith was provided. The annual ring was formed in September once a year. Annual ring in otolith for flathead grey mullet is validated for fish aged 1-8 using the marginal increment analysis. Using the sectioned otolith, between reader precision was 84%. Also, Within-reader agreement for sectioned otolith age readings was higher (reader 1=84%, reader 2=87%). The relationship between fork length and total weight was TW=$0.022FL^{2.818}$. The estimated von Bertalanffy growth parameters for the flathead grey mullet were $L_{\infty}$=67.97cm K=0.164/year and $t_o$=-0.81year.

  • A self-regulatory community fisheries management program in Korea is designed to enhance fisheries resources, to protect fishing grounds of self-regulatory communities, and to manage their fisheries resources by their own regulations and knowledge. This study explored an applicable ecosystem-based management plan based on the scientific investigation and analysis. This study suggested objectives, indicators and reference points of the ecosystem-based resource management system which are applicable to selfregulatory community fisheries. The objectives of the management system are to maintain sustainable fisheries production, to maintain optimum fishing intensity, to reduce by-catch, to conserve spawning ground and habitat, to maintain optimum habitat environment, to increase/maintain abundance of prey species, to increase/maintain stock biomass, and to conduct stock enhancement on the basis of scientific assessment. The improved methods for the assessment and management are introduced by demonstrating a self-regulatory fishery which targets on hen clam in Dong-li fishing village in Busan.

  • In an early stage, many people think that agile development methodology cannot be applied i large-scale IT projects. Nevertheless, agile development methodology has recently been introduced in variety of successful large-scale IT projects. In this paper, I compare two enterprise agile methodologies and introduce a case of Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) Framework, an enterprise agile development methodology. I compare and quantitatively measure the productivity of the development of two projects using Disciplined Agile Delivery framework and waterfall development methodology with a similar development scope.
