A 15-year-old, castrated male shih-tzu dog was referred to Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Gyeongsang National University due to dyspnea, anorexia, depression of 1 week's duration. On thoracic radiography, triangular shaped soft tissue opacity mass presented in the left cranial lung lobe region. On computed tomography, there was a $3.8{\times}2.5$ cm mass in the left thoracic cavity, which was lobulated and adhered to ventral pleural surface. Histopathologically, the neoplastic cell population consisted of a lot of lymphocytes and a few of Hassal's corpuscles. The immunohistochemistry, lymphocytes were diffusely positive for CD3 and focal positive $CD79{\alpha}$. Based on gross, histologic, and immunohistochemical findings, the neoplasm was diagnosed a lymphocyte predominant thymoma.

A 4-year-old female Fox Terrier dog (weighting 8 kg) with history of severe abdominal distention and anorexia was presented to Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Gyeongsang National University. In physical examination, grade 4/6 systolic murmur heard at the left heart base. Electrocardiography showed right ventricular enlargement (right axis deviation and deep S wave) and right atrial enlargement (P pulmonale). Diagnostic imaging studies revealed hypertrophy of right ventricle, enlargement of right atrium and tricuspid regurgitation and turbulence in the pulmonary artery in right parastenal short axis view. Based on the diagnostic findings, the dog was diagnosed as a case of valvular pulmonic stenosis.

미생물 유전체 프로젝트를 수행하는 과정에서 발생하는 base-calling 오류를 포함하는 것으로 의심되는 유전자나 염기서열의 리스트를 보여 주는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이 프로그램의 모듈들은 base-calling 오류로 의심되는 염기들의 후보군을 유전체 프로젝트를 수행하는 주요 단계에서 감지할 수 있도록 하였다. 이들 프로그램들은 초기 단계에서는 Phrap 파일에 존재하는 contig assembly 정보를 이용하여 base-calling 오류를 감지하는 모듈, 중간 단계에서는 상동성 검색 결과물로부터 frame skift 돌연변이의 진위 유무를 분석할 수 있는 모듈, 마지막 단계에서는, 이미 발표된 미생물 유전체와 같은 종으로부터 유래된 균주에 대한 유전체 프로젝트를 수행할 경우, 비교유전체 분석 기법을 활용하여 base-calling 오류 가능성이 높은 서열의 후보군을 추출하여 해당서열의 크로마토그램파일을 유전체 연구자가 볼 수 있는 모듈로 구성되어 있다.

AgI/PVC${\cdot}$THF막전극은 단일할로겐화이온과 할로겐화이온 혼합물을 질산은표준용액으로 전위차법적정할 때 지시전극으로 사용될 수 있다. 그러나 할로겐화이온혼합물을 단계적정할 때 오차가 매우 큼을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 적정용액에 $NaNO_3$나 $Ba(NO_3)_2$같은 뭉침제를 가하면 오차가 매우 감소한다. 또한 젤라틴과 거름종이의 효과 그리고 온도의 영향도 조사하였다.

Rabson Mendenhall syndrome은 Rabson과 Mendenhall에 의해 1955년 처음 발표된 증후군으로서, 심한 insulin resistance를 보이는 희귀한 상염색체 열성 유전성 질환이다. Insulin receptor의 돌연변이나 insulin이 작용하는 다른 target cell의 결함에 의해 나타나며, 일반적인 증상으로는 흑색가시세포종(acanthosis nigricans), 다모증(hypertrichosis), 손발톱 비대(onychauxis), 성장 지체 (growth retardation), 성 조숙(precocious puberty), 생식기의 비대, 팽만된 복부(protuberant abdomen), 건성 피부(xerotic skin) 등이 나타난다. 악안면 영역에서는 치아의 이형성, 거친 얼굴의 피부, 하악 전돌, 균열 혀 (fissured tongue)와 같은 특징적 증상이 나타난다. 이에 본 증례에서는 Rabson Mendenhall syndrome으로 본원에 내원한 4세 환아에게 관찰된 치과적 특징들에 관하여 보고하는 바이다.

Al doped Zinc Oxide(ZnO:Al) films, which is widely used as a transparent conductor in optoelectronic devices such as solar cell, liquid crystal display, plasma display panel, thermal heater, and other sensors, were prepared by using the capacitively coupled DC magnetron sputtering method. The influence of the substrate temperature, working gas pressure and discharge power on the electrical, optical and morphological properties were investigated experimentally. The consideration on the effect of doping amounts of Al on the electrical and optical properties of ZnO thin film were also carried out. ZnO:Al films with the optimum growth conditions showed resistivity of $9.42{\times}10^{-4}\;{\Omeg}-cm$ and transmittance of 90.88% for 840nm in film thickness in the wavelength range of the visible spectrum.

39세 남자 환자가 건강검진에서 발견된 식도 점막하 종양을 주소로 내원하였다. 술 전 검사에서 평활근종으로 추정되어 눈종양적출술로 완전 절제를 시행하였다. 술 후 조직, 면역조직화학염색 등의 병리학적 진단으로 얼기형 신경집종으로 확진되었다. 얼기형 신경집종은 얼기형 또는 다결절 형태를 가지며 신경집종의 한 변형으로 매우 드물다. 본 논문은 식도에 드물게 생기는 얼기형 신경집종의 증례로, 다수의 관련된 논문과 함께 치험을 보고하는 바이다.

Hamartomas are non-neoplastic malformations or congenital errors of tissue development. Hamartoma is composed by an excessive growth of mature tissue present in wrong proportions and abnormal arrangements. The lesion usually presents as a submucosal mass with ill-defined margins. Hamartoma occurs in all areas of the body, especially in the liver, spleen, kidney and lung. However, hamartoma is very rare in the head and neck. Presenting symptoms of hamartoma are typically vague and nonspecific. Treatment of hamartomas consists of adequate surgical excision. We present a 59 year-old male patient who presented with submental swelling. Malignancy could not be ruled out with preoperative radiologic examination, so surgical excision was planned. The mass was excised with transcervical approach. Histopathologic examination has confirmed the mass as a mucinous gland adenomatoid hamartoma.

Coriolus versicolor KFCC 30388 균을 액체배양하여 배양 6일째 균사체 생성이 가장 우수하였으며, 건조 균사체량은 17.2g/l을 얻었다. 균사체들로부터 항암성 단백다당체를 분리하여 in vitro에서 plate assay 방법으로 human cancer cell lines 3종에 대한 항암성을 조사한 결과, 0.1mg/ml의 survival rate를 나타내어 항암성을 확인하였다.화학적 분석 결과 단벡다당체는 polysaccharide 42.2%, protein 10.5%로 이루어졌으며, 구성 단당류는 D-glucese, L-glucese, galatose, mannose, xylose 등 으로 되어 있었다.
